I popped in with my partner to be confronted by the male manager who seemed to be seething, rushing around in an angry strop , dropping cutlery ( spoons ) all over the floor before picking them all up and putting them straight into the public cutlery tray ( let's hope nobody had dog poo on their shoes that day! ). He also rudely looks people up and down from head to toe, overtly which is extremely bad mannered and me and my partner left soon as we were sick of noticing him. The drinks? Extra large mugs are a normal kitchen mug size with a head on the latte taking up a quarter of the mug ( I would dread to see what a small cup looks like ). On a plus side, the female staff seem polite but the contaminated cutlery issue means that this place cannot be recomended

I always enjoy the coffee here and the whole family love it as they do milkshakes/hot chocolates galore! Food is always of a high standard and the cakes are awesome! I would definitely suggest here for a quick take away or a cosy seat and catch up with a friend.

Ordered four lattes and it came to around £15 which is normal for coffee, however they would only stamp my coffee card once as it’s per transaction. So I asked if I could do the transactions separately and the female serving me snottily said no as if I had asked her to produce me a bar of gold? The bacon rolls are absolute grease central, want a blood clot? Go here! The owner kerry can be quite blunt when it’s busy, and rude when all you’re trying to do it pay. I wouldn’t come back here personally due to the atmosphere, and the staff can be rude.

We attended a family wedding in the town but arrived a little early. We dropped into The Coffee Lounge and was met with cheery smiles and a warm welcome by the staff. We could chose to sit out back in the courtyard, in the main coffee room or front of the shop. You could read and relax and no one hurried you. The quality and taste of the coffee, hot chocolate and cakes were wonderful. Not expensive at all. Thank you for the warm welcome we shall return!

Attleborough is not short of cafes but this one is my personal favourite. I don’t know why, but there is always a nice feel to this one. Maybe it is the hospitable host or the calming decor but it brings about a feeling of calmness. The seating area is split into two areas. At the front is the seats in the window and the flow of people coming in and out. At the rear is the lounge area with tables or comfy chairs. Of course, it only takes a few boisterous characters to alter the entire feel of the place for other customers but that is true of all cafes. Worth a particular mention is the loo, which is clean, massive and includes a baby changing area.

Every once in a while you come across something so great, it quickly erases any memory of life had before it. Mobile phones with Internet, WiFi, catch up TV (does anyone actually watch anything live now) to name just a few. One thing however that never seemed to catch on was a coffee shop that actually served a cracking cup of coffee but also decent food. All at a reasonable price. In my opinion not much to ask for in what is a very saturated market. However what started as a slight annoyance soon turned into a quest reminiscent of Frodos journey with a certain ring. I tried many places with no luck. Whether it's half decent food but bitter coffee or great coffee with appalling, overpriced food. I was contemplating giving up on my quest when, by absolute chance, I stumbled across the coffee lounge in Attleborough. Just imagine my absolute jubilation when I took a sip from my latte and didn't wince, I then found myself subconsciously taking more and more sips of this incredible coffee. I turned to look at the food and was amazed to see plenty of options; main meals, paninis, salads or just a bit of cake - all looking in fine condition and of a size that could actually "Fill a Hole". I personally went for the chicken and red onion panini which was strange for me seeing as I dont like onion. Maybe I started enjoying my quest that i was on and having a reason to complain about something so much that I almost wanted it to be bad... it wasnt.... It was great and all for a reasonable price. Therefore I have to admit that my quest is over. I have found the coffee shop, in the name of a lounge, that serves a cracking cup of coffee with decent food at a reasonable price. I now regularly come to this place to get a coffee and panini and each time it just gets better and better. Brilliant.

Stopped in here of an early evening as I needed something to help wake me up a bit. I was served quickly - the coffee was as good as ever to my untrained taste buds. This Cafe also offers a range of things to eat. It's also breastfeeding friendly so should be ideal for parents with toddlers and young children.

I decided to try a coffee from here as I had a short wait while waiting for a coach pick up. I was served quickly by friendly staff and the latte I had was good. I'd rate the coffee lounge higher but I only had a takeaway drink. The cakes on offer looked tempting so I will try to visit here again at some point.

Food and drinks all reasonably priced. Food always tastes good. Food is cooked to order. Service is friendly and efficient. I have a very small negative point. The restaurant is split into three areas. Areas 2 & 3 are often closed off for cleaning from 3:30. The restaurant does not close until 5! Sometimes the front area is really cramped and we have asked to use back seating but have been told no! It's closed for cleaning! Shame as its a small niggle that could so easily be rectified so easilu

I needed a quick lunch - and the Coffee Lounge ticked all the boxes. Fish and chips at £3.35 was the special. Cooked whilst i waited, with mushy peas. Hot, tasty and enjoyable. A fair sized pot of tea filled the cup three times, a piece of shortbread to die for - at 75p!! Good pleasant service, clean, a decent paper to browse through whilst waiting. But I was the only one in the back main dining area. Come on you people of Attleborough - you're missing out here.

Unlike other reviews the service was friendly and efficient. Great to see places like this being Frequented by the local community. Could do with some attention to detail in respect of finishing touches and coffee could be better.

The standard of coffee seems to have gone down compared with that of the previous owners. A reasonable but limited menu although that is better than before. As someone who visits Attleborough frequently I like one or two other cafes better.Give it a try if you wish but is not for me. Scope for improvement. The infrastructure is there but all else needs improving.Closes too early too.

The Moroccan night is something a little bit different and great value for money. Three courses with tea or coffee costs just £20 per person. The Coffee Lounge does not have an alcohol licence but you are welcome to bring your own. Soft drinks, smoothies, teas and coffees are served as usual though.Very tasty, good quality food and something for everyone. The owner/chef coming out of the kitchen to enquire after the food is a very nice touch. I understand that he will be taking over the Consort Hotel's (Wymondham) kitchen in the New Year on a Friday and Saturday night and we will definitely return!

Been in here a few times but only go there when the other coffee shops aren't open. Coffee is ok and all the bought in cakes and biscuits are ok.Have sat in the back room when a whole crowd of mums & toddlers came in and took over. They were regulars and weren't so the staff made no effort to ensure we were happy with the sudden invasion.Walls next to the tables were stained with spilt coffee & as the staff are all young there doesn't seem to be any focus on anything other than basic cleanliness.Still ok though but I'd rather go elsewhere for a more personal service.

First and foremost the staff in the whole garden centre including the cafe were charming and helpful. The food we had was good. The service was good. Two gripes - there was no fresh fuit offering on the menu - just a pear, apple or banana would be have been good - or berries and yogurt? The other gripe was a dog in the dog friendly area (fairly close to us) incessantly barking. I do not agree with dogs in restaurants. How have we managed in the past? I have two much loved dogs but I do not feel the need to drag them everywhere with me. Perhaps an outdoor area under cover would suit everyone?

Spontaneous decision to eat out, didn't book but we were welcomed in, table found and settled. Unrushed service, delicious food.. the garlic mushroom starter was fantastic, the brisket melted in the mouth ... and the cheese board!!!.... great portions... First class.... no complaints from us. We will be back ❤️

My mother and I arrived for lunch on Saturday. Firstly we were shown to a dirty table, rings from cups and salt or possibly sugar. As my mother has a walker and had taken her coat off and sat down I didn’t ask to be moved but cleaned the table myself with antibacterial wipes I always carry. We ordered drinks and food which you have to pay for upfront so no opportunity to refuse to pay. The drinks arrived, one of which was a bottle of water but no glass. I asked for a glass which the waiter came back with. The glass was dirty. I waited until the food arrived and asked for a clean glass. No apology was given for bringing me a dirty one. My mother had loaded fries at £11. Well I could see the crispy onions, crispy because they were those dried ones you buy in tubs in the supermarket, but no sign of any cheese. I started to eat my bacon, Brie and red onion chutney panini. Well I had bacon. I looked inside for the Brie. There was a sort of stain which was obviously the Brie. I’ve never managed to cut a slice of Brie that thin myself, I suspect they could see through it when they lifted it up. As for the chutney, I found a few soggy bits of tasteless brown stuff. I noticed my mother poking her chips about and asked her what she was doing, she said ‘looking for the cheese’. I asked if she’d found any and she said ‘not really’. She pushed the bowl away and said her legs were cold. We had been sat in front of the entrance and the draft was awful. I asked her if she wanted to go and she was out of her chair faster than I’ve seen someone of 88 move in a long time. All in all a most unpleasant lunch. £11 for a bowl of chips and dried onion, and £10.50 for a bacon roll. Very poor indeed.

It was totally packed out to mark Remembrance Sunday. I had quite a wait for around 15 minutes, but the staff was really pushing out orders and getting the queue down. Quite a few empty places to sit in and staff clearing as customers left. Good team work 👏
