The Coffee House in Trafford

Been coming to this coffee shop for some time now, it has always been our first choice. Unfortunately was very disappointed with our visit this morning. We asked for extra hot, hot chocolate and it was just warm. We ordered toast and a tea cake and both arrived cold due to the fact the young lady serving decided to serve everyone else while our toast was left standing as she was the only member of staff. My friend took her teacake back and the young lady just popped it back into the toaster!!!! Not good. So the big question, will we be going back? I'm afraid not.

Can't find a price list for the coffees anywhere, can someone provide one please as I don't want to go in to the place and find out that it's expensive

This is our go to coffee shop in Sale. The shop is clean and has a nice vibe but more importantly they make the best flat whites and toasted cheeses and onion sandwiches.

Visited today (12.08.23) nice place, inside and outside seating available. Opted for inside due to inclement weather, table size / chairs bit limited if more than two people, pushchair access can be done though it’s quite tight. Found a table to fit the four of us, was quite a peaceful quiet coffee and cake until the waitress decided to make a racket loading / unloading the dishwasher That said, cakes were really good and beverages were also very nice

Love the Coffee House & that you have done so well to open more around Gr Mc. However, feel you should now look to Sale as the air con has not been working for over 1 mth making it v uncomfortable for both customers & staff working especially when the sun shines through the large, glass windows!!

The staff are all wonderful in particular Lou. He helped me so much to put the app on my phone and although he was busy, nothing was too much trouble. They are efficient even during rush hour!! My experience was wonderful and I will definitely be making it my regular coffee shop.

The best local skinny mocha and the cake we always choose is deliciouse, I am not telling you which as they might sell out but there is plenty of choice. Good value for money

We called in to The Coffee House after a long walk down the canal from Timperley on 15.04.2022 and enjoyed a couple of ice coffee latte's and a honeycomb milkshake. The latte's (with ice cream) were superb, the milkshake, whilst really nice, didn't have a particularly strong honeycomb taste However, it was all really lovely and nice to sit outside on the pavement soaking up some late afternoon sunshine Highly recommend (certainly better than the Cafe Nero next door or the Costa further down the street)

Prices on the board are not the prices you pay this must be illegal and needs reporting to someone as its not right and im angry

This morning we went for coffee etc . My daughter & her partner had not yet had breakfast so chose some freshly made sandwiches to accompany the delicious coffee . Afterwards we had lovely date slices . We had a well socially distanced table inside .Although it was counter service , the staff were very attentive at clearing our table when appropriate . We prefer this venue compared to some of the large coffee chains .

I first discovered this place when it was just down the street from where they are now. They’ve literally moved several hundred yards (yes we’re back to yards, feet, inches, ounces - adieus Europe, tatty bye) up the street. Anyway the coffee house still serves up really wonderful coffees and the staff are always a mega friendly bunch. As I approached this morning I was trying to control a three year old who was hyperactive and bags of shopping and he quickly came to help opening the door for me. I had my usual flat white, which was superb, and an ice cold sparkling water. My miniature companion was discerning enough to opt for a black currant drink and as I was paying he had already delved into the shopping and was sampling an M&S cookie. It’s in the genes I say.

Positive- Delicious food, positive atmosphere, clean and tidy, structured well, friendly staff well run. Negative- some team members lack confidence.

Visited this coffee shop a few times, especially since new management have took over. New management working wonders as it appears organised and well run team. Friendly receptive staff, Quality coffee, Cater for all our needs, Would definitely recommend and will be going again.

I have been visiting this cafe since it moved locations, however after the recent management change I will not be visiting again. The cafe used to have a pleasant atmosphere and the staff were friendly and always happy, however recently that has not been the case. The staff seem miserable all the time, the shop is always filthy, and the new 'manager' is one of the rudest people I have encountered in a cafe before. The hospitality and warm nature of the shop has seemingly disappeared and the management staff seem to like to let the staff struggle (bald guy who kept going behind the counter ignored the staff struggling and didn't help once). The company defiantly needs to rethink the new management team as those two men are ruining this once lovely spot.

The coffee house has moved up or down the street, depending on your view of such mundanity. It was 102 School Red now it’s no 56. It’s next to cafe Nero. I think it’s a smaller inside. It also now has seating outdoors with hardy fellows & girls (more likely smokers) opting to sit outside. I often view those who sit outdoor in cafes in this part of the world with damp, cool air but I suppose it’s always good to see hope over experience even despite reality. What hasn’t changed is the darn great coffee - my flat white at £2.8 was superb - and the mega friendly staff are still a cheery bunch. I noticed some new food items are now available so maybe next time.

Dont go into Nero next door. Go in here. I worked as a barista for about half a decade and this is one of the nicest shops I've been in. Different without being pretentious, genuinely happy looking staff. The coffee is decent and the food was quickly served and there was zero pubes (that I could see anyway). My only concern was the house parrot that they seem to let fly around the shop unchecked. It's generally quite friendly, but it has that look in its eye like it may come at you at any second. That aside 5 stars.

On our first visit to their new location we were impressed with the choice of food and drinks, the cafe is spotless and customer service first class

This place is both cozy and spacious (lots of comfy chairs to choose from), with the kindest staff. And most important, the coffee is delicious - definitely worth visiting!

Nice place to meet for coffee in sale. It’s spacious unlike lots of smaller coffee shops so ideal if you have children/prams with you. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely decaffeinated coffee, a good range of teas, friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

We headed here after visiting its sister cafe in Lymm, and were not disappointed. The area is very spacious and well designed. The coffee was delicious and the service was friendly, especially the lady on the counter. Recommended, certainly over a leading coffee shop that is across the road

I always go here for my hot drinks. Prefer to support the local businesses this is one of the best. Staff are lovely, drinks are delicious and the whole vibe of the place is really chilled.

Great coffee lovely staff very clean tea cakes scrumptious go in with family, mates from work. Like the fact it's an independent coffee place.

The white hot chocolate was very tasty, as was the mocha latte. My wife enjoyed the caramel shortbread very much and we both thought that the staff were friendly and very helpful. Nice atmosphere, I'd definitely return if we're ever in the area again.

I visited the coffee house today whilst on a break at work. As I walked in I was met by the pleasant smile of the staff and helpful advice on what coffee to try. I'd recommend the coffee house to friends and family for sure

Estamos aquí ahora y es un lugar realmente acogedor y cálido es demasiado con el tipo de sillones que sumergirse. También ha sido ocupado desde que llegamos. El café de aquí es genial. Elegí una pantalla blanca como de costumbre y es excelente, como siempre la cata. Mi esposa optaron por su habitual café capuchino. Es un detalle que una vez que pagas estás invitado a tomar asiento y su pedido es llevado a usted. La decoración es mayormente en blanco y negro. Tienen música de fondo; oía pero no entrometido. La acogida es amable, como siempre, y que como la gente deje también conseguir un adiós alegre también. La única molestia es la conexión wifi ya que mantiene extirpación y tengo que mantener la tala. Literalmente sólo recibió dos solicitudes de validación de correo electrónico del proveedor de wifi algunos 45 minutos después de mi primera sesión. Quizás ahora te coherente wifi pero quién sabe.

Muy bien hecho hasta cafetería con gran, café fresco - el mejor que he tenido desde una cafetería en un largo tiempo. Las mujeres que sirve es siempre amable y el lugar es impecable. Encantados de tener un lugar tan agradable abierto en venta. Recomiendo totalmente sobre la costumbre insípida basura de grandes nombres.

The last few visits have been disappointing. Coffee excellent but staff miserable. They do what they need to, just, but taints what could be a good place to go. Need to smile! Will give it a miss for a while.

Hay unos cuantos lugares en el centro de la ciudad media de venta donde usted puede tomar una bebida caliente y algo de comer, y este tiene que ser uno de los mejores. No es una cadena, y no un boliche, es un espacio moderno, bastante iluminado y ventilado, tiene unas cuantas mesas y es muy popular entre los lugareños. Great place, loose leaf Rooibos tea was great and the modern airy decor is nice and relaxing with an array of seating options from high bar to comfy sofas

I like the seating at the coffee house, comfortable and relaxing! The coffee is good and also the toasted tea cakes ! The staff are pleasant and service is quick.

This is a real little gem in Sale We frequently just pop in for a chill out.Each staff member is so pleasant and works hard to ensure you enjoy your time there.Not as cramped as some of the chain coffee store either.

My friend and I went here as our first "ladies who lunch" date with her baby.The staff are very quick and friendly. The coffee was lovely and the cakes fab. I don't know whether to tell you all about the white chocolate millionaires or to keep them a secret so theres more for me!The sofas look like they could use a treatment but its only to be expected in this busy type of environment and surely a used looking sofa means that the cafe is popular and my rule of thumb is that is will be good!Don't eat all my shortbread when you go!

Whiled away a few minutes whilst waiting for the court to get its act together just up the road. Nice drink and a cake although the selection was a bit limited on a weekday.

Just like visiting Costa or similar cafes - selection of cakes is like any other - friendly staff and clean environment . It was very quiet when I visited

Tucked away and out of the immediate town centre is this sparkling clean coffee shop.It is pleasant to be greeted with a wide, cheerful smile and then to be served the tastiest coffee and cake that I have enjoyed in a long while really made my day.I am not a regular visitor to Sale but now know of at least one stop that is likely to become a habit.

We have been here a few times and it's a lovely place for sandwiches, tea and cake. My boyfriend loves the coffee and I really like the selection of sandwiches they have on offer. The staff are always friendly and it's kept immaculate.

Came here with my boyfriend and absolutely loved it. Very comfortable sofas, felt like I could have been at home. Free wifi is a plus too! My coffee was wonderful and so was the food.Call me snooty but one of the most important things to me when going for a drink is the hygiene of the place. This coffee shop is totally spotless, particularly the toilets - really fresh and sanitary. I have to sanitise my hands in Costa/Caffe Nero but here, it is really clean! Recommended to any germophobes lol x

I like this place a lot. I've been in here quite a few times. It has all the ingredients of a great cafe. The service is ace friendly all the staff are welcoming and friendly. The coffees are great, today, I had a cracking flat white (£2.40) with iced water on the side. The sofas and chairs are mega comfy so you can settle down and use the free, fast wifi. This is a relatively new place and it's comfy. The coffee is seriously good, it's strong yet smooth and not at all bitter, just try the double expresso to see what I mean. I haven't yet tried the hot savoury food as I'm not a fan of panninis. I do have a sweet tooth though and today it's the lemon cake which is pretty ok (but not moist or lemony enough for me) with tangy frosting and truth be told it's the frosting that I enjoy.

As I write this I'm chilling out with a delicious flat white in Sale's newest coffee shop, called Coffee House. I'm almost reluctant to write, as I love this place and want to keep it for myself! The coffee excellent, with the usual range of goodies such as paninis, toasters, cakes etc.This place makes a lovely change from the 'big chains' with their loud brash decor, the same in every branch! The owners here have gone for pale walls, black and white photo art on the walls, black leather furniture and pale wood floors. It's just a lovely peaceful place to chill out, read a paper, or whatever.If you want to give it a go, it's just beyond the pedestrianised end of school road ... We normally park in sainsburys and cut through.Highly recommended!

A really nice place to stop for a coffee but it's really bright in here needs to be a bit more snug. Lovely interior and well planned.Didn't eat but it all looked ok from what we saw.Worth a try and coffee far better than the two chains on school road.

New to the area, stopped in this great little shop for a coffee. Staff were attentive, polite. The building was so bright and clean it was easy to relax in. Would recommend and visit again.
