We came to Altarnun for the very first time this week. What a very pretty village it is. The Coffee Cup maybe small but what a wonderfully warm welcome you receive! There was such a nice atmosphere in there and the couple who run it are lovely. The menu has been well thought out and is served simply but very well. We just had coffee and cakes and everything was very good indeed. We really enjoyed our visit. We shall definitely return - what a little treasure we have found!

Fantastic little cafe! Best ice tea I’ve ever had.. it had fresh mint and frozen raspberries in it, so lovely. Great range of cakes, lovely friendly service. Ice cream, cake, coffee, cold drinks, food… and the room is lovely too.

I stumbled across this gem of an establishment whilst on a video film making exploration of Altarnun. I was most surprised to find it open and welcoming on a chill February afternoon. Owner Andi was manning the helm. This delightful small village on the edge of the blasted waste of Bodmin Moor is hurriedly bypassed by the throngs whizzing by to to better known holiday destinations further west. Which helps to keep this obviously much-loved village unspoiled. But for the curious, or those who do not need an amusement arcade or neon lighting, spend a peaceful hour or two, in the church , on the green, by the river, then into The The Coffee cup of course. Incidentally has anyone ever seen a Trip Advisor 100% 5 star history before?

What a lovely place in the centre of Altarnun a very pretty Cornish village. Very welcoming with delicious coffee, tea, homemade cakes and lots more. So nice to see a coffee shop that’s not part of a chain. Well worth a visit and very close to the A30 so a great place to break your journey. Highly recommended.

This little cafe continues to thrive and grow from strength to strength Friendly and welcoming: enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. A lovely choice of beverages, homemade cakes, light lunches and icecreams await. Can recommend 'Andi's (proprietor) choice' of croissant and if wanting to try something a little different you can't go far wrong with a savoury (cheese scone) cream tea. Lovely venue - well behaved dogs welcome too! 👌

Booked Leonnie and Neil as a private chef experience at a local Airbnb we hired for 12 guests at 60th birthday party. Food was fantastic, well presented and the flavours were amasing, it was a brilliant evening that I would recommend them if you wanted a relaxed special event Thanks again to the both of you from all my family

Oh wow!! Absolutely fabulous food and I’m coming back to try more of the menu. We had the Buddha bowl and the quiche. Amazing flavours. I’m told the chef is vegan and he certainly knows what he’s doing in the kitchen.

One of the best tearooms in the area - when you can get in to enjoy the food. Getting very popular because of amazing sweet and savoury dishes. Impossible to leave without a few goodies to take home too. I love this place.
