I stumbled across this gem of an establishment whilst on a video film making exploration of Altarnun. I was most surprised to find it open and welcoming on a chill February afternoon. Owner Andi was manning the helm. This delightful small village on the edge of the blasted waste of Bodmin Moor is hurriedly bypassed by the throngs whizzing by to to better known holiday destinations further west. Which helps to keep this obviously much-loved village unspoiled. But for the curious, or those who do not need an amusement arcade or neon lighting, spend a peaceful hour or two, in the church , on the green, by the river, then into The The Coffee cup of course. Incidentally has anyone ever seen a Trip Advisor 100% 5 star history before?

The coffee cup is lovely and clean. Excellent friendly service. Amazing food to eat in or takeaway. We had iced coffee, chocolate ice cream milkshakes and the best brownie and flapjack I have ever had. Highly recommend visiting.

Lovely little cafe. Friendly, helpful service. Lots of choice, cornish tea was excellent. lovely hot chocolate with all the trimmings & "Nanna's moist & delicious fruit cake" was the best we'd ever tasted. Pretty village, nice walks... Pay it a visit & enjoy.

What a lovely place in the centre of Altarnun a very pretty Cornish village. Very welcoming with delicious coffee, tea, homemade cakes and lots more. So nice to see a coffee shop that’s not part of a chain. Well worth a visit and very close to the A30 so a great place to break your journey. Highly recommended.

This little cafe continues to thrive and grow from strength to strength Friendly and welcoming: enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. A lovely choice of beverages, homemade cakes, light lunches and icecreams await. Can recommend 'Andi's (proprietor) choice' of croissant and if wanting to try something a little different you can't go far wrong with a savoury (cheese scone) cream tea. Lovely venue - well behaved dogs welcome too! 👌

Great freshly cooked food down at The Track. No need to pack a picnic Julie has a large menu of freshly cooked and prepared foods . Support the small local businesses you won’t be disappointed

Very good B&B in a very central location. But it is very expensive so 'value for money' comes into question. Very good cooked breakfast served in the mornings but for the money it should provide freshly squeezed orange juice.

Went into the Orange Cafe Bar on New Year’s Eve day time not actually knowing it was a plant based cafe. Not being vegan doesn’t mean you can’t visit this lovely little cafe, there were four of us and we had meals and drinks, I had hummus and roasted vegetables which was delicious my partner had a flat bread type meal and our other two friends had mac and cheese and loaded fries everyone enjoyed their meal, don’t bypass this lovely cafe in the middle of the village.

Apologies for the delay in reviewing! Absolutely brilliant breakfast; delicious, fresh, served hot, fantastic staff and very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend and we'll definitely be back next time we are in St. Ives
