The Cobbles in Kirklees

Asked for a healthy breakfast and was amazing. The place was busy which was a good sign but lots of room upstairs so finding a table was not an issue, food and drink brought to me as well. Hot Coffee which how it should be (some places luke warm) and finished the breakfast. Good priced as well.

Spicy hot burger. Would expect to pay twice the price for what it was. Excellent.

2nd time in a row cold bacon cold beans, no excuse when not busy. May aswell ask for ham. Not worth £9.50

Met some friends here as it was a halfway meet for us. What a cracking little find, food was excellent and really reasonably priced. Staff were even better, very attentive and friendly. Fully recommend you won’t be disappointed !

Great cafe second time being in do the breakfast to perfection

Horrible experience. Ordered 2 teas and 2 bacon sandwiches. Got teas, waited 15 mins for food. Said tea was cold (it's January) , it was taken away. 10 mins later, sandwiches eaten, had to ask what happened to tea. Staff member retired with our two half cups of tea, luke warm, said it had been in microwave. No apology, awful.

Great value breakfast, perfect scrambled eggs, quick service, free wi fi and free parking. Perfect! Oh and pay cash if you can, really helps small businesses who pay loads in card fees.

Whether you are eating in or taking away, this place always gives excellent service and food. Really good quality and always worth a visit. I dont eat out very often and its more of a treat, so coming here is always a safe bet for value.

Lovely little cafe in Birstall, food was nice and well priced and friendly staff.

Won’t be going here again. Got 3 sandwiches to take away. No care taken to put sandwiches together they are just thrown together. Sausages are cut in half and fried to the max. Just Awful. Bread cakes not buttered and ripped open rather than cut so they were a mess.

2 medium breakfasts to take out very nice even are lass liked hers so must have been nice to get her seal of approval

Had afternoon tea for Mother’s Day. One set was gluten free, stunning all round. The gluten free had variety of sandwiches, cakes, chicken gujons and scones. My parents loved it - not the normal minimal gluten free afternoon tea. The normal one was equally as fab, pork pie to die for, huge scone and sponge cake that was just the best

Bad staff that can’t take an order, bought same sandwich 3 times each time a different price most being 4.90 for a bacon and spam sandwich 😂

Today we had an afternoon tea to celebrate my daughters birthday. We collected a normal afternoon tea for two. A children’s afternoon tea and a gluten free one. Everything we had was absolutely delicious from the soft bread used for the sandwiches to the enormous scones and the beautiful cakes. We couldn’t believe how good value it was. None of us could eat everything in one sitting so had plenty of lovely cakes to have later. The gluten free scone was the best my daughter has had. Would highly recommend this as a treat during lockdown.

I've used the cobbles for ages and never had a complaint the foods great value for money and the staff are friendly and always have a smile on their faces.

Prompt service , tasty food and in the centre of birstall. I had a tuna jacket potato and my son had a burger and chips complete with drinks for only a tenner. Good value.

Needs a good clean plus the staff cooking the meals need hair nets. Found hair in meal. Complained. The food with the hair in got scraped off the plate and replaced but the rest of the meal was left as it was. Yuk.

Odio dejar malos comentarios. Especialmente para empresas locales. Pero las normas de higiene en cuanto a personal en las uñas es repugnante. Mi desayuno salió con una uña con uñas negras real polaca en la parte superior. El servidor intentó alejarla diciendo que era un quemado de cebolla. Mi marido lo recogieron y demostró que era un uña. El personal es hacer sándwiches, etc. con mucho falso clavos y pedí ver la limpiaron su cepillo de uñas con la comida antes de dársela. No tenían una.
