Went for Sunday dinner. Had heard that the Sunday dinner was delicious. Customer Service was spot on. Where this restaurant lacks is flavor. The food was bland and that's being nice. Look I understand I'm from another country but for a country who has colonized more places than we care to discuss you would think seasoning would be something you would be very familiar with. Even the bread was vulgar not even butter would help. Nice crunch though. Had to add salt and pepper so it would become edible.

We had just arrived in London and were looking for somewhere to eat and happened to see this place. The food, specifically their pie, was excellent and the service was great. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to help us with the questions we had. All in all, I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Nice little pub. Serves a good range of beers including London Black. It’s got a restaurant upstairs. Quiet as well but not loads of seating downstairs.

Another fan favorite. The Coach Makers Arms is a great spot to hangout. The beers and cocktails are excellent. Fun night here.

We had a great experience yesterday for a late afternoon lunch. The staff were attentive, friendly and organised. They were friendly when they visited to table. We were pleased with our food choices and the wine. We would definitely eat there again. Thank you!!!

At 4.30pm Friday, The lady who served us was so rude. So miserable to customers. Her attitude was appalling. We ordered a drink and she didn’t smile, slammed our glasses down and didn’t me a chance to order anything else. When I did she tutted and I couldn’t believe I was being treated this way for nothing. The pub was busy, all we wanted was a drink after a hard working week. I certainly won’t go again. Our company uses this pub a lot but I will let them know otherwise. Please ask her to be kinder to customers.

Service was unbelievable slow. Meal was allover the shop and food lukewarm and mediocre. Roast chicken was sloppy and at £23 a rip off. It was so disappointing. Tbh it was a shambles and grossly overpriced we won't return.

Easy to make reservations on Open Table. Food was really good, had the scotch egg, sausage roll, cheese soufflé, fish and chips and the chicken pie…. The scotch egg was one of the best ever as well as the soufflé… but the pride of the place was our waiter Luke, he made great suggestions and makes one heck of a drink. Very cool place that we would go to again… ask for Luke, you won’t be disappointed…

Went to the Coachmakers Arms today for Sunday lunch and, I must say, I really do not agree with some of your reviewers that it is highly priced or that there are too few staff and, then, some of them not very efficient. My experience: Shown to our table immediately and I ordered a glass of wine which appeared immediately as did a jug of tap water (which we didn't ask for but was much appreciated). We ordered a roast beef and a roast lamb both of which were delicious. I suppose my only niggle is that the plates are overflowing with food....however I ordered a side plate and it was brought immediately (so everything OK there) and I plonked my huge Yorkshire pudding on it so I had more room on my main plate. We followed with a lovely (but huge again!) Pavlova which The Boy and I greedily devoured with much pleasure. I was never aware of the staff being anything but charming and seemed very in control of all that was going on around them. I suppose my only slight problem was that, although Sunday lunch is traditionally a meal that the whole family shares, it does lead to a very noisy dining room (not the restaurant's fault) especially when parents seem totally unaware of the noise level of their children. Still, a VERY nice experience.

There are a lot of competing upmarket restaurants in this area. The Coach Makers Arms has one of the loveliest rooms and high quality food, though not amazing. It pushes its luck a bit, demanding a credit card number in advance and threatening a £20 per head charge if one cancels within 24 hours of the dining time. In our case the pub cancelled 45 minutes before we arrived! They couldn't explain why, but fortunately it was a quiet time and they had no trouble seating us. I think they should have given us £20 per head, just to be consistent. The service charge is 15%, which is steep, given the already high prices. They also added a 99p global warming charity contribution to the bill. I think it's a cheek when a restaurant adds a charity donation without asking in advance (2 Veneti in the same area also adds something). I got this extra charge removed, but this took a few minutes. There were no teens in our group, but Tripadvisor only allows me to continue if I choose one of its "Who did you go with?" options and that's the closest.

Excellent food and wine selection. Great pub lunch experience. Went on Monday with a friend and had the best steak sandwich and fish and chips. Nice to see there are still some old style pubs left in London.

Coachmakers arms is a great place with a good vibe but security guard is incredibly hostile and constantly telling people off, feels like they have a teacher looking at you. Horrible

Very very disappointed and i wrote a review earlier which Coachmakers have yet to publish. Most of the food was tepid at best and the staff horribly overworked. Bad management. Very expensive at £146 for 2. Its all a terrible pity because the chefs are good.

Good food but service charge of 15% pc is over the top.For 8 people having reasonable lunch , I was charged £424 including a £56 service fee. One is effectively paying their staff’s wages. ,

Well is a bit of an old one. Two of us had the bacon chop which was either really chewy or undercooked. I suspect the latter. The prawn cocktail to start was a bit mean on prawns considering it was £14.50. We are all undecided as to whether this place warrants a second visit. Done

It pains me to write this but we visited for Sunday lunch today and it was a bit off the mark. Last time we were here I think they had a deal for 3 courses, but they’ve scrapped that now and it’s about £31 for a roast. That’s high end, but what we had wasn’t. It was very nice, but the beef was a bit chewy & the lamb was fatty. Pork was very nice, however. The price point is slightly off here and when you pay the top price you expect it to be perfect. Service was friendly but I had to persevere every time I wanted to get someone’s attention. All in all it was £157 for 3 roasts, 2 sticky toffee puddings and some soft drinks for 3. Quite expensive, but we don’t mind. A bit disappointed to see a hidden 99p “carbon neutral” charge. When I asked the waitress she said it was optional. Well, it’s not optional if it’s hidden in the bill. Needs to lower the prices or increase the standards here.
