The Clumsy Swan in Birmingham

I popped in to say a quick hello to see friends at the weekend, and from my arrival, and attending the bar straight away i must say my experience was awful, the girl behind the bar was so rude and had a disgusting attitude about her, I never come out, and only did as it was for an occasion, but she set off my Anxiety really bad and made me feel like nothIng but poo at the bottom of someones shoe, just like how she looked at me for no apparent reason, and im still confused as to why i received such treatment as im always well mannered and polite to everyone. It really ruined my evening, and still left me upset how many days later, its not fair and its not on really. Its nice to be nice!!.

Saturday nights are great, went to a reggae and ska night, recently, it was fantastic

Just went for a few hours to watch Football and enjoy the karaoke. Good experience for watching sports here.plenty of screens all of good quality and no problem watching the game. Beer prices are reasonable but expensive for a short,wiskey nearly £6,with no mixer for a double. Lots of pubs have deals normally a double is not twice the price. Didn't sample the food so.maybe next time.

Terrible service. Floors were dirty. Seats were dirty. Pint tasted weird. Food wasn’t hot. Overpriced for what it is. Never go back.

Very unfriendly staff and clientele. If you say hello how are you or nice to meet you to someone here you will receive a hostile scowl when you glance away from them. I did not feel safe a single second I was here, I only came because a friend insisted. I don’t even like to walk on the same side of the road.

Was in there tonight 22nd June 24. Staff working hard to cope with the demand. I gave up in the end. Maybe I'll come again when I get a good report that I will get served within 15 minutes.

Great pub brilliant entertainment on of a weekend dj’s and live acts karaoke on Sunday's and Mondays are brilliant they have all your live sports with lots of big screens nice pint friendly staff feels very much like a good local community pub

Atmosphere and vibe was lovely had a really good night there was one certain bar maid I think her name was Arizona who made me feel very comfortable and made my night a lot better.

Unplanned but had a good evening. Loved the vibe, friendly people!

Staff are a disgrace and security should be arrested and sacked

This place is DISGUSTING went here once for a night out and because we weren't locals we got abuse by the bar staff then security guards went to punch 1 off us if you hold a sia badge you are not allowed to attack customers I mean who runs this place? Whoever owns this place please have a clear out the place has to be the worst and most dangerous pub in Birmingham, security guards should be sacked that must be a priority utter disgusting to say the least .

We went to a 40th upstairs in the function room. It's a good size and you feel completely separate from the pub downstairs. That's said, there was a singer downstairs and he was excellent. The vibe was great! Surprised me.

Awful boozer, resident nutter at the door getting in everybody's face, overly loud music and Jeeeez, the stink from the toilets!!! Didn't even finish our drinks, couldn't wait to get out of the place.

The smell of drugs especially coming from the toilet on Friday night is clear this place has a drug problem with security there they don't do much so its not taken seriously. Also Friday night a group chased 2 of my friends down the street and security did not do anything other than make the situation worse my friends are not troublemakers and was done so be some scumbag regulars inside. Absolutely unacceptable. This place clearly has a poor reputation for the area when it's full of thugs and criminals by looks of it. Bit like The Jockey in Shameless. They deserve to lose their license and security should be sacked especially when you hire security with limited brain power. Unless you want a fight or a drug user don't come here.

Rougher than broken glass!! Dated, dingy, dark & dirty, could do with a complete refit and definitely need to turn the noise down, you need to shout at each other if you want a conversation in here!!

Fun Monday afternoon with karaoke. Prices are very reasonable. Lots of seniors attending.

I came to the clumsy Swan Friday night with my partner and very close friends we got turned away because she had legins on with 2 white stripes down her legs so really is this is what it comes to . It's a bloody joke that public can wear what they want to feel comfortable. So the pubs now dictate what ppl were. Well I will not be going there again but on face book with Ash showing videos there is plenty ppl under dressed. So yes this is for the manager sort ur self out

Typical pub atmosphere, friendly people and staff.

It's a local watering hole on a busy roundabout. Has outdoor as well as indoor seating. I wouldn't make a special trip to drink there.

I attended a birthday celebration and had to ask for assistance to use the iift , this was done very quickly and the staff member who assisted was very pleasant and professional.

Attended a reggae night. Good atmosphere , price very different when I went in, early evening to when entertainment started,did not see a happy hour advertised.

Great size room for my nans wake . Plenty of space and seats :)

Should I have known that there was a time limit for entry to this pub. Never had a problem all winter. Not packed just not there before 11.30. This isn't adviced on the website. Was with a 75 year old regular who was left embarrassed. As a group of young women was let through. I'm sure the owners would not be responsible for this. It very much looked like the security company they have now. Some nights get ruined by bad communication.

Have been a few times this year. Shows are always good standard. Especially the Cher tribute a few months back The out door seating area could do with a clean / and a section for the Smokers as it can be a very unpleasant experience if your a Non Smoker & want to seat outdoors to enjoy the day/ evening. Haven't had any food as yet so unable to comment. Not a family orientated environment more so an Adult place.( Never seen children there) Later in the evening can get more lively especially after 10:30 pm Sadly have experienced a few arriving after this time who could be there for different reasons other than drinking 😕 Security are present & do a reasonable job , but need to step up and be more proactive as the evening draws in

I really love it here when I can get there of a Monday and see singers and see old friends can't beat a good old sing song

Horrid place. As shown Tonight was to be a comedy night starting at 19:30. awe asked at the bar & was assured it was to go ahead. The music is both very loud & set awfully the staff need to learn how to use the mixer it sounded horrid & was way too loud. we sat drinking beers until 20:40. No sign of any comedians so made our way home again. What a waste of an evening & taxi fares. Restaurant was advertised as open but it was closed. We would not have eaten there anyhow the place is filthily.

I like this pub despite the lack of real ale. You always get a good pint and the prices are reasonable. Nice staff too.

The drinks are expensive on Saturday night my drink wen up 3 times in the night.

Went to a 40th birthday party upstairs it was dark and dirty a beer cost me £4.50 kids fruit shoot £3.50 and yet downstairs it was a lot cheaper I wouldn't recommend this place to hire

A Friday visit, friendly faces behind the bar & a DJ playing 70's songs. Didn't realise how many I knew. A good singalong a good night.

Have a drink and watch the night life outside. Police cars boy racers and ambulances. You can even pick up knocked off goods washing powder etc

Had a live singer. RnB reggae... had a good dance. Drinks are little bit more money than used to but affordable. Good surroundings and some lovely mature and lovely youthful staff. Parking available. Disabled accessibility. Spacious place.

My wife & I go there most Fri/Sat nights for the DJ & Bands. The staff are excellent, most are always smiling & dancing throughout the night plus 🍻 to the young ladies who always remember our drinks order 👍

great place for a drink. the locals and staff are brill. there is no food served there anymore, but pop in for a beer or two. love it in there

Personally really enjoy it here, depending what time you head over during the week you can catch some kareoke, uplifted atmosphere or even a nice chilled one. There's even a jukebox to put in your favourite tunes. Pricing of drinks is good for even popping in for a quick one! The staff are lovely also 😊 really nice place.

Went there as was expecting ub4o tribute night which one singer could not sing did not even know words standing in one place most of night moving side 2 side disgusting plus 2 get a drink because u had 2 sit it could take 20-30 minutes service which don’t want want 2 b waiting too b waiting that long but due too these rules are going 2 go on longer need 2 get extra staff weekend as feel sorry 4 ones that’s there

Truthfully this place has not got a good name out of the area but I'm gonna speak as I find great staff good people who willing to chat staff on the door at around 6pm to make sure no trouble had a fantastic night then went for a curry with my family well done guys much love xxxx you guys wondering why only 4stars outside needs abit of doin up looks horrible with fence not attractive 🥴

bands are quite good some better than others but for nothing to get in can't complain, the beer though is proper rank at times, gut rot next day after drinking the lager, its been mentioned on many occasions by many friends so they tend to give the pub a wide birth!

Its was good. The area isn't great though. I worried about parking there.

Bouncer wouldn’t let us in at 11:50 because it was 3 lads even though my misses and mate was 1 min infront of us. Wouldn’t give a explanation other then 12 o’clock he wasn’t letting people in, even though it was 11:50. Even though I’ve drank in the pub numerous times just a grade A arse

Muy buena comida, excelente servicio y muchos asientos. Recomendaría este restaurante a los amantes de los platos de curry. Muy buen nivel de higiene en las instalaciones. El personal es muy amable y tiene un buen sentido del humor, ya que le di a la camarera un relicario como propina y lo encontró divertido.

La gruesa parrilla del cisne está arriba del torpe cisne. No sé si es parte del pub o una empresa separada, pero la comida fue increíble. A la parrilla, suculenta y sabrosa. Acabo de comer pollo a la parrilla, pero mis amigos tenían una variedad de curry. La mejor comida que he tenido todo el verano, creo.

DO NOT BOOK A ROOM / PARTY HERE. My mom booked a room here in March 2019 to hold her 70th Birthday Party for 31st August 2019. My sister went last week to arrange what time we could go and decorate the room ready for the party to be told by the staff that we couldn't hold a Party there as the room was changing to a restaurant as from Friday 16th August. There was no appology, not a phone call to cancel or offer of a refund. We did get the money back but we had to ask for it. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGER, I WOULDN'T EVEN USE THE RESTAURANT. DISGUSTING HOW THEY TREAT PEOPLE

While i was waiting for my family on my 22nd, i had a few drinks here, the staff are lovely and the pub side is good fun, they have karaoke sometimes, i am not sure of the dates so you will have to check the website but honestly go there for pre-drinks and then go town if you want to go out out, if you just want to go out or pop out for one id recommend this pub.

NUNCA RESERVE NUNCA UNA FUNCIÓN O COMIDA AQUÍ.Mi madre ha reservado y pagado por completo para una fiesta de cumpleaños número 70 aquí para el 31 de agosto en la calle, se enviaron invitaciones, se reservó DJ, se reservó comida y todo se pagó por completo. Mi hermana fue hoy a averiguar a qué hora podemos ir a decorar la habitación y, HOY BIEN, dijeron que se estaba convirtiendo en un restaurante y que no podía tener su fiesta.El gerente no se molestó en contactar a mi madre para informarle, si no fuera por mi hermana que iba allí hoy, todos habrían aparecido y NO SORPRENDRÍAN ninguna fiesta.Qué asco, no puedo encontrar las palabras para expresar lo molestos que estamos todos. Luego dijeron que mi madre solo pagaba 150. 00 para la habitación, buen trabajo todavía tenía los recibos ya que había pagado 200. 00. Ahora tenemos que tratar de encontrar otra sala para eventos con solo 2 semanas. No hubo oferta de compensación, especialmente si mi madre no puede obtener un reembolso completo de proveedores y DJ si no podemos encontrar otra sala de actos.Y agregue un insulto a la lesión, mi hermana también había reservado la misma habitación para diciembre para su 50ª vez que no la contactaron para cancelar.POR FAVOR NO RESERVE NADA CON ESTOS IDIOTAS NO PROFESIONALES.TAMBIÉN PIENSO QUE LAS PERSONAS DEBEN TENER UN PUNTO DE NO COMER ALLÍ CUANDO CAMBIE EN UN RESTAURANTE.
