The Club House in Portsmouth

Maybe it was a poor choice of food, but as the saying goes “you are as good as your worst item on the menu”. Everything was nice but it was missing the wow factor, I don’t think it is a bad place but certainly not outstanding, it might not be the first place to recommend. I will go again and give it another try in the future, but on first try it didn’t win me, which is a shame cos for cooking on charcoal it should not take much. 4 stars from me, it is good but nothing to call home for

It was all average for what was a huge price tag. I enjoyed it but won’t be returning in a rush.

Lunch for six was very good. The service throughout was excellent. The food was good, those that had roasts were very happy as was the person having fish and chips. Those having burgers were not so well catered for. The burgers though tasty were a bit small and the chips were disappointing, particularly in comparison to the wonderful crisp and fluffy chips served with the fish and chips . I would recommend the sticky toffee pudding. The atmosphere was good and the location by the harbour was great.

Definitely gone downhill, and depending what day you order is pretty hit and miss. Tonight's delights included what can only be described as yesterday's left over chips reheated. Spend nearly 23 quid all I gor was a box of greasy meat smothered in mayonnaise (where's the salad ? Which was asked for) and the above mentioned chips Do you actually read the order with the customer comments and request? Used to be alot better!

Exquisite venue... attention to detail from staff and the menu is in essence a TRUE CULINARY EXPERIENCE..BIG ROUND OF APPLAUSE 👏
