The Clifton Hotel in Stroud

It was great to get inside this friendly cafe after the biting cold of the recent icy spell outside. The coffee was excellent and they also had a selection of homemade cakes - I had a piece of lemon drizzle cake which was great. Dogs are welcome. There are locally produced arts and crafts on sale as well.

Hey! I came here for the first time last weekend , it was absolutely . . . splendid . I really enjoyed my breakfast sandwich , which was executed brilliantly and was given amazing service from my number 1 employee Jake Mumford . I would recommend this spot to anybody looking for a scrummy brunch or a smooth , hot coffee . Just wanted to thank the staff for their amazing contributions to the community of wotton under edge . 10/10!

Eating at The Ship is always brilliant - really amazing food and lovely atmosphere - but I think this occasion deserves a special mention as we had the most wonderful evening despite a local power cut (where pretty much every other business had to close). The Ship staff were determined to go ahead and, after phoning to give us a heads up, provided a perfect candlelight atmosphere and and even more perfect food (somehow without electricity!) The Christmas menu was every bit as amazing as we had hoped. The staff coped amazingly with the lack of power and large amount of guests, all of whom seemed to be having a brilliant time. A really special Christmas evening with friends. Thank you.
