Cheap and cheerful great staff and service but could do with some background music

I like it ice cream was served melted but when asked to change it they was ok with it other than that its goof

Absolutely awful. Went for breakfast and we ordered American pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. The bacon was freezing cold and looked like the day before’s leftovers . They hadn’t even bothered to warm it up never mind cook it fresh. I told the server who took them away and obviously microwaved it to the point that the pancake was so tough it was hard to cut! Tip-NEVER order the breakfast pancakes.

Waited 15 min for service long queue lack of service at bar staff useless

Male toilets reeked of urine. Blonde manager told us no dogs on the premises even though we were outside and our dog was making no fuss. Deffo don't come here for a fun time. Come here as a last resort

Lovely Wetherspoons, not the best location for somewhere so nice but it was clean, super friendly staff and great food. Unfortunately they did not serve a pint before 9am :(

You do get what you pay for, the place is dirty and scummy. The food was unfortunately burned but it was reasonably priced, however I did wonder what the cleanliness of the kitchen was like. The toilets are a joke, they stink, urine all over the floor, toilet door locks are broken, no soap and one of the toilets didn't flush. Very disappointed

The atmosphere is relaxing met up with a friend and had a latte.

Didn't have the spicy mayo sauce, there's no point in the wrap if it doesn't have spicy mayo, ruined it

Paid for a sude if onion bhajis which i asked for 3 times and still never got plus food was cold and never got a check back

Fantastic repeat visit. A large group of us visit The Clairville 2 or 3 times a year and our latest was as good as ever. Service is first class, staff and management are brilliant and always make us welcome. Locals are good value as well ! Looking forward to our next trip

Service is very good depending on how busy it is, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Feel the prices have increased whilst the quality has decreased. This is based on my past few visits, the food came out quickly but the plate was basically empty with a small burger and a laughingly small portion of chips. I opted for a hot drink and the first one had no milk so had to wait for the machine to be sorted and the second came out luke warm. I have had some delicious meals in the past and know the same coffee machines have been able to produce decent coffee but whatever cost cutting exercises are taking place have finally ruined this place for me.

Lovely atmosphere, ordered the steak meal and asked for the steak mid rare and it was spot on. Nice's prices and friendly staff, the only downer (which is not on them is the portion size of the chips) don't get me wrong, you do get a quite a few but other than that..top service

Toilet were a mess no toilet paper Staff was rude when asking about food gave food back and no refund until we asked for refund and now have to wait for 3 to 5 days for refund its a joke

Excellent in my view. My visit was on St David's Day, but they are gearing up for St Patrick's Day, which will no doubt see a more boisterous crowd in... Staff were very friendly, courteous and bent over backwards for myself, an older guy, with a sub £10 meal. Reheated my jacket potato and have to give 11/10 to the two ladies (one younger, one slightly older than 30). Both are a credit to this pub.

The food was awful got a chicken strip on batch with salad an chips, my grandaughter had fish mash an peas. The chicken strips were rock hard the batch was burnt didnt have any salad my grandaughters fish was all greasy batter an her mash was indescribable just flat piece of cardboard pepsi max was just ice . Safe to say wont be going back there anymore 🤨

It's wetherspoons ypu get what you pay for but for a wetherspoons it's not to shabby

Called in for a family lunch together not very busy took a while to get our food was nice as usual.

Friendly local Wetherspoons, great starting point @ great prices.

Cask ale is generally in good nick and cheap. Food is OK but seems to get more expensive on every visit. The elephant in the room for me (in New Brighton) is the unforgivable mess they made on the promenade, then just left as a building site and walked away.

I ordered a small fish and chips. The fish was literally the size of a goldfish - not impressed. Not always easy to find a table

The food was ok, but unremarkable. The service was good though.

Serving staff were miserable. Both hot drinks machines ran out. No milk in jugs. Table was sticky from not being wiped down. Empty glasses from previous users just left and not cleared away.

A lovely pub. The small breakfast was delicious. There is plenty of seating. Lacked a little music for the lonely drinkers, like myself, but all in all the staff are really polite and friendly. Served with a smile. I will definitely visit again soon.

Tatty and a bit manky now. I think there's been a wet floor sign in the men's toilets since the day it opened. Don't remember the floor ever being dry.

It's a 'spoons, cheap drinks, cheap food, decent atmosphere

Steak raw complained they took it away to put on grill 10 minutes later I asked where Steak was to be spoken rudely by waiter bad experience

Had a good night,cheap prices compared to other venues and local enough for me to walk to and home..

Really pleasant local community pub with great food and prices and friendly service 🥳highly recommended 🥳

There was a tall chubby lad with glasses, really rude. when i asked to speak to the manager he called me a Karen, i was NOT impressed

Absolutely disgusting service and staff. Complained about hair in my breakfast, all I got was another breakfast dropped on the table in front of me with the parting comment "here you go mate" not even an apology.

Went to 2 other Greene King pubs but they changed their menus for the worse. Know what you get at a Weathers.

You can't really fault the 'Spoons. I tend to pop in on a Sunday morning for breakfast which is perfectly decent and comes with refillable coffee in a quiet relaxed environment for well under a tenner. I'm sure at 10PM on a Saturday night the same pub is an entirely different environment, but perhaps that's the essence of a good pub at the end of the day. The staff are always sociable, from Jo at the bar to Irene the cleaner. I've also attached a photo of the carpet, as I believe some odd people like that kind of thing...

We went here for Lunch Today myself and My Grandaughter we really enjoyed it.

When you order items separate, they always come on different plates. The girl serving threw our breakfast down and stormed away. Not a great experience at this one

Cracking scran, cheap drinks No background music, silent as a graveyard on a Friday night

Went for Sunday breakfast around 10am. Not expecting much as it is a wetherspoons afterall. But what I found was nothing short of diabolical. App wasnt working so I placed an order at the bar. I was served by an exceptionally hungover looking member of staff with zero front of house skills. Charged extra for a hot drink that should have been included with the price of my breakfast. Then selected hot chocolate out of the machine but received a cup of hot milk. Picked up 4 more cups that were either dirty on the inside or sticky on the outside. I had to go and wash my hands after handling each one! The hot drinks area had clearly not been cleaned in a while (I'm talking multiple levels of dirt. Not just from that morning) while making my drink a member of the kitchen staff came out to make himself a drink and looked filthy. Food finally arrived along with dirty cutlery. Food was cold, beans were dried onto the plate, eggs over cooked and sausages looked anaemic. All in all inedible. But tbh by that time, I really didn't want to eat in there anyway. I dread to think what their hygiene rating is!

They ran out of all mixers except fresh orange, raspberry lemonade, had no cans pop ect instead. Everything tried to order food wise was a no go then the fryers weren't working so no sausage for sausage n mash, not even bowl of chips!!

This place has always been dirty, tables are all sticky, plates and glasses everywhere. Bar staff are stupid they don't think to clear up whilst walking around and the coffee machine is always broken.

First port of call for today's pub crawl. Quick half of well-kept cask ale. Previous visit was to see a solo singer on a Saturday night. Always a good pint and friendly locals and staff.

Nice food served in reasonable time but the pub needs updating.

Popped in for my usual, a breakfast wrap and a bottomless coffee, placed my order on the app. The server came over and told me there was no sausages, so I expected extra bacon, but no, one piece of bacon and no cheese either. I guess I'll be going elsewhere in future........

Dead good food and endless cuppas. The service is nice and the atmosphore was happy. Someone was sick in the crner by the bar but the bar lady mopped it up after a few minutes

Went on a Friday, had fish and chips, complemented the kitchen on very nice hot food on hot plates. Real, ale was enjoyed by my husband, no complaints a good lunch time experience, staff very pleasant.

Pub,staff and drinks fabulous only downside bumped into brother's neighbour and he is a complete whopper.

As usual did not fail to impress and "Upside Brown" cask was delicious.

Always busy, staff friendly and foods basic wetherspoons grub. Only 4 stars because you need to sort out the gents, the only way out is through two inward opening doors. The are some males that don't wash their hands after handling their snossage, how can I wash my hands then exit without getting the juice of another males snossage on my hands. Please switch the doors the other way or something it's really unhygienic.

Split level big room bar + outside seating. Lots of booth seating. Interesting ceiling. Real ales + staff excellent.

The breakfast was soooo good but I couldn't have a cup of tea because they had none!

Staff very rude.meals cold.full of people arguing.serving drinks to people they know are driving.

. My meal had to be sent back 3 times Then my mother's sirloin steak was full of grissle and was sent back twice. The manager a chubby dark haired came over and had no customer service he was rude and just gave me a refund for my mums dinner never again service at all he refused to give his name and was rude to my mum he didn't offer any alternatives to help use and just refunded my mums meal and we left

As usual on a Sunday or is every day one member of staff on bar so you always wait while they sort table orders and everything else while your waiting

It's a spoons! Ample seating, staff are pretty on the ball and friendly. Food came out promptly. It has the usual menu for food and drinks selection as other spoons

Looks a bit dowdy from the outside but the interior is all very nice. Comfortable and pleasant staff. Inexpensive and on the Liverpool bus route.
