Coco Bean in Wirral

I went here yesterday for the first time i ordered a chicken curry meal it was cooked fresh in a traditional banana leaf never had something like this before I've seen it getting done on cooking show's so i was eager to try it, it didn't disappoint me when i opened it it had lots of spicy chicken cooked with onions and various herbs very tasty indeed i would highly recommend this traditional curry dish I'll certainly be having this again and trying alot more dishes in the future there's a great selection of indian dishes and English dishes including full breakfasts but only served until 3pm it's open all day reasonable prices my meal was £8.99 but to try something cooked in a banana leaf was different to other restaurants. I didn't no what to expect but i thoroughly enjoyed it.

Dirty horrible food missed a toasty off my order and refused to send another one out , cold food fatty bacon undercooked sausages.

One of the best places to dine in… my whole family loved it.

Ordered online and I’m disgusted. £2.80 for stone cold hot chocolate and over £6 for a wrap they couldn’t be bothered to accurately describe so customers can be aware of ingredients. My wrap was covered in mayonaise, which wasn’t specified in the description so I couldn’t eat that due to allergies, couldn’t very well drink a cold hot chocolate or soggy, wet chips either. £20 down and honestly just disappointed and shocked at how they call this good food.

Ordered a Home Delivery and Wow what a surprise. Excellent taste to the food, excellent service, Highly recommend to anyone ordering. Good prices too.

The Indian and Chinese food is so delicious and staff is friendly .

I had a large breakfast one and was so pleased with the great service by the wonderful staff and I was so happy with food as everything was done to my liking. I would definitely recommend!

Ordered 2 large breakfast with coffee Asked the eggs to be cooked more and they came back the same undercooked (snotty) also says 2 bacon and got 1 and an end of a piece of bacon mushrooms undercooked And was charged extra for the coffees ! When there included Won’t be returning

Ordered through delivered, was told food would be here by 12.55. Called at 1.30, told the driver had left 10 mins ago and would be 15 mins. Food still not arrived at 2pm, so we called and were told 10 mins. Food finally arrived luke warm at 2.15pm. Awful service

Couldn’t have had a better experience here, was helped in with the pram, then my little girl was kindly given colour book and pens, atmosphere was so lovely here every staff member made us feel welcome, also the food was so delicious I had a veggie breakfast, I have never tasted veggie sausages so tasty, 100% recommend this cafe and will definitely be back 💗

Absolutely shocking. It's like whoever made it couldn't be bothered to make an effort. For the prices you are charging you need to do better.

OMG........Had the special omelette and it was stunning. There must have been at least 4 eggs in it. It was half the size of the plate and the salad was really nice. Tea was served in a proper size mug and a teapot that didn't drip. Couldn't eat it all, there was so much. Will definitely be back

Happy to give full 5* Ordered a delivery from here for the first time today. The price for what I ordered was competitive with other local businesses. Food arrived within the delivery estimate and was still nice and hot. ....Nearly forgot to mention, it was delicious! I'll definitely be trying more from their menu in the future. First time ordering, but definitely coming back. Food was absolutely amazing from the portion sizes to the taste. The price of the food made it all the better. Highly recommend

After ordering food arrived 2 hours later, missing 1 of the drinks I ordered, after calling was told driver will be 5 minutes, he was another half an hour... I will never order from here again, dont use the excuse "its christmas eve", dont accept the order, I would happily have gone elsewhere and would have appreciated being told they were too busy for my order, its not like the local area struggles for places to order from....

The first time we entered the premises the owner was screaming down the phone at someone complaining about a late delivery. He did apologise to us but really we should have taken it as a warning. The food was ok, we only ordered breakfasts, and we have been several times since. We have just left, as he was bringing my food to the table one of the delivery drivers came in shouting and continued to shout right over my food as it was being brought to me. He continued to shout until he left with his next delivery. I touched the plate and it was cold, not just not warmed, but really cold. I told the owner the verbatim conversation was. "This plate is really cold." to which he replied "yes" and started to walk off. I said it shouldn't be, the food will go cold." He replied "i've got no way of warming them ." I could have advised him of several ways he could with the equipment he had but he clearly didn't care. I had to leave both fried eggs as they were stone cold, the bacon wasn't much better. I went up to pay and he said "£12" I said, i've had to leave both eggs stone cold. He never replied but just passed the card reader for. me to pay. Will never return, it's a shame, when he isn't there the lady running it does a fantastic job.

Had to wait over 2 and a half hours to eventually receive the food. Whilst the food was okay and still warm, the delivery time was obviously annoying. I tried to ring many times to try and get an update but found nobody answering my calls. When I finally got to speak to an employee, they were rude and put the phone down on me. They are clearly a busy establishment but I certainly won't be using their services again.

I ordered through Just Eat. I ordered a breakfast and a tuna salad. I was given a delivery estimate for 65 mins and 85 mins from ordering. After waiting 95 minutes I tried to contact restaurant to find they had closed. But through Just Eat I was informed order was on it's way. I requested a refund to be refused and informed an extra item off menu would be added to order. After waiting for 115 minutes my order was delivered by a cyclist who had taken the longer route, when there is a more direct route. He informed me the first driver had been in an accident, but was not informed about any extra delays by restaurant. Breakfast was cold, when I complained I was able to o as ask for a refund for breakfast. Have to see if I receive it. But definitely won't be ordering from here again!

Waited an hour for our food and they claim we didn't even order! Had to show proof to foodhub just to get money back, dreadful place and lazy staff. Don't go here!!

Bad place. 2 and half hours and still no delivery. Just eat shows it was delivered. Not answering the phone. Should have checked the reviews before ordering.

Waited more than 90 mins for the delivery to come. Bad attitude from staff when I called the restaurant for an update. Terrible food quality.

Order from just eat from coco bean it came on time and it was very nice breastfast just the toast was abit hard to cut with a knife

Dont ever go there my second visit and I can honestly say it's disgusting! I could have bought the ingredients for cheaper and got my dig to cook then and it probably would have tasted better !

Worth experience of ordering food person answering the phone doesnt even understand English for one waited over an hour and a half for me having to call them to be told by them “will be happy for me to cancel the order” DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE IF YOU WANT TO ME MESSED ABOUT

Disgusting service, delayed by over 2 hours went to work in the end couldn't care less if it eventually turned up or not. Pointless them even having a phone number when it's clear no one knows how to use it. Would highly recomend any other place to eat than this waste of time, energy an money

Had a lovely toastie need to return to try a full breakfast

It smelled nice, didn't look all that great and it tasted awful. Bacon looked like it had been steamed/microwaved, as did sausages. Hash brown was soggy and greasy . Couldn't eat it as ended up feeling sick from it.

Worst food ever so disappointing

I visited Cocoa Bean today - a 'quiet' wednesday lunchtime. I'd been intending to try it out for a while but never quite got round to it. There's some real positives with the food which is freshly (and well) prepared and a generous portion. The menu is also comprehensive. A tiny observation - my coffee was served the same temperature as tea would be - I would guess boiling water was used. However it was nice when it cooled down a bit. I mentioned that it's not a place to unwind - the door is left open and there is a constant noisy flow of traffic going past, if this isn't enough to assault the senses there is a radio station constantly playing fast music inside just a little too loudly and if I was still able to switch off from that there was a young boy in residence playing additional music on his tablet to add to it all. The decor is confusing. There are massive boards in the front windows with generic images of greasy food. These are at odds with the 'Cocoa Bean' signage, large number of photos of film stars inside and pleasant messages painted on the walls. Collectively these make the place feel claustrophobic. Just in case you might fancy looking out of any bit of the window that is left there are also rather scruffy signs for different parts of the menu covering any worthwhile viewing area. I won't be going back - mainly due to the pervasive noise levels. I would order food to take out though as it's very well done.

Friendly staff, clean premises and tasty food!

A very nicely laid out cafe with plenty of room and in a lovely airy space - the south facing light is beautiful on a sunny day. We were made to feel welcome the moment we walked in and we chose from a comprehensive menu of snacks and meals. I chose an omelette with fries and salad and my wife chose a Tuna Sweetcorn Jacket potato which was also served with a salad. The food was fresh, plentiful and full of flavour. There is free parking outside on the main road (up to 90mins). A cracking little find - we will go again soon!
