Sammy's Takeaway in Wirral

Probably the worst Takeaway I have ever had tonight. Food was still frozen when I got it home… Never again……..

I'm disgusted with sammys me and my husband have been loyal customers here for more than five years but tonight absolute shocking service from this place they made an error on my pizza(wrong toppings)and then refused to rectify it so after a very rude phone call from the manager I told them to come and collect it for a refund and I'm still waiting

My friends and I got caught in the rain after a pub quiz and ran into the shop to get some shelter and the staff were so lovely. We got a large fries to share and they were so bloody amazing. So grateful for those who let us stay in and get out of the rain. Cheers!

Fantastic when the correct order is delivered. Unfortunately the past three times we've received the wrong order. Requesting naan breads (kebabs) and then receiving overcooked pitta breads isn't cool.

I’ve ordered one cheese burger and cheesy chips and paid for it. Only to get home to see I’ve only been given chips and a cheese burger. This is the second time this has happened now. I came shortly after 9 on the 8th April. So I feel abit cheated of money here

Nice food and brilliant service.

The best waffles ever, super fluffy and light but really big, and they put so much toppings on compared to other places, I recommend the biscoff or oreo waffle! Most come with fresh fruit on which makes them even better! Always good discount on of an evening and they are made fresh and delivered quick!

Lovely deserts, great staff. Even free extra treats!

Went down to Sammy's this evening for a burger and when I arrived there was a photographer there with full light set up showing a table full of very nice looking deserts. He was just finishing up the shoot and the lady member of staff said I could take home one of the desserts for free. It was a lovely gesture and the dessert was absolutely delicious. Roughly the size of a 10 inch pizza. Lovely soft waffle with banana strawberry, chocolate flakes and sauce. Thank you for a lovely unexpected freebie and great friendly service.

Always enjoy coming here food is always good and the new range of cakes are delicious. Staff are always so friendly and welcoming. It's good to have a drink while waiting for food. Burgers kebabs pizza and chicken we've had has always been good.

Sadly this place has gone from one of the best fast food outlets to being the worst in two weeks. Once upon a time you could be served with a smiling face and wonderful chat to being ignored for 10min and walking out without getting any service at all. Would not now recommend at all. Order a domino's to avoid disappointment

Used to order here a lot. Will never again. Went in to order, ignored for 10 minutes then left, staff ignorant, no one seemed bothered that we were standing there waiting. Such a shame used to be great. Never again

We have been here a few times now. And all I can say is everytime the food has been delivered it has been amazing. We will not go anywhere else for a donner calzone kabab or pizza

I live rhe cheese burgwr and garlic bread with cheese. You can choose any souce and salad as you wish

I've had both pepperoni pizza and chicken and shish kebab. Always phone and pick up or pop in and wait to make sure it's hot and fresh. None of this type of food travels well.......

Oh dear. Failure tonight. Partner ordered chicken burger with mild chilli. No chilli!! I ordered the kebab meat with chips. Overcooked meat, dry and hard. With a pitta bread I didnt order. Big let down

Wow amazing amazing amazing not just the food but the amazing customer service. I can’t thank Mike enough after a traumatic downpour, thunder and lightening he offered to take us all home, he got the brolly out and got us all safely into the car and to home but also picked up the kids that were at a friends house that I was going to get on the way!!! We honestly can’t thank him enough!!

When you finish at the pub and stop for some food on the way home and it's perfect. It's pouring rain, and the absolute gent of a delivery driver drops you and your mates home. Currently at home, enjoying a delicious pizza. Mike, you are an absolute legend.

We order from here fairly often, and every time, the food has been fantastic. 10/10

The best Kabab in town very friendly staffs

Used to eat here all the time. We went 3 weeks ago and they tried to give us a smaller pizza and garlic bread to what we ordered. We ordered the pizza meal one which should be 14 inch pizza and 12 inch garlic bread, Instead they gave us 12 inch pizza and 10 inch garlic bread. Manager said the menu was wrong, despite me showing him what is on their website!, We went last night and got overcharged and the garlic bread was terrible. There appears to be a change in management and the new manager doesn’t know what the deals are- hence the reason of getting overcharged. We will not be returning despite using them on numerous occasions.

Terrible - used to eat here all the time but last 2 times have been awful. Tonight the order was missing items, the receipt has changed and the chips where cold and raw. Won’t be ordering here again.

I just ordered for the first time and I got a mixed chicken and doner on garlic pizza bread. The meat and salad and sauce were very good but the pizza base was god awful. I couldn't even cut it and had to break it apart with my hands piece by piece. This is not a good sign for trying somewhere new.

Had a couple of items from the place. The Pizza and Kebab can be hit and miss on occasions. Special calzone is really good and would highly recommend Staff are friendly and accommodating.

Excellent customer service! The staff who work there are always so helpful and go the extra mile! Got confused ordering with the app and they were so helpful when we went in to check! Lovely genuine people & good food!

Burger & chips great, kebab meat was a bit dry the biggest disappointment is the slimy cheese on the margarita pizza, unfortunately this has ruined the meal.

Ordered food. Waited for 30 mins. Sammys then decline the order as they don't deliver to neston even though we ordered through just eat. I now need to wait 5 days to get my money back. Don't waste your time with these frauds.

Best takeaway on the Wirral by far Friendly staff, all food is tasty and cooked perfect Delivery is fast and food still hot Portions are generous.

Kebab was ok, chips very greasy and cheese on chips 1 big glob. Ordered a bottle of diet coke - it was 18 months out of date! Very disappointing

Cannot fault this place, we got our order delivered, no Pizza (so we thought) rang and they brought us another Pizza only to find my husband had just picked up the bag and didn't realise the pizza was on the step. Thank you so much. The food was delicious as always

Just ordered a meat feast from Sammys - meat feast !!!! Mainly Pepperoni, tiny bits of Chicken, crumbs of beef and for an extra £1 for pineapple - which was an 8th of a can of shredded pineapple - what a shocker 😬 when we thought take aways would “up their game” Due to the government funded 50% off in restaurants couldn’t be more disappointed ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️ Just thrown £10 in the bin

Since Lockdown they have risen to the occasion, ordered online, picked up 15mins later. I'll be ordering again.

Pizza was ok, but nothing special.

As always my experience is a good one. Good food but the service from the gents is always superb. The driver forgot my daughters juice and before we knew he’d returned with it and free cheesecake for the inconvenience. Brilliant.

Customer service shocking, food very average. Ordered a mixed kabab on garlic naan and it came on a thick type pizza base which you couldn't eat the kabab with. Phoned to query and they were totally unintetested.

I order from here regularly as the quality of the food is good and the staff are friendly, but tonight was the complete opposite. I made a phone order for delivery and repeated it again when I was asked to, and I still received food that was inedible due to some of it not being how I ordered it, and lacking the flavour because topping/ sauce for my food wasn't there. I phoned back to ask about this, and I spoke to the man who originally took my order and he outright called me a liar and said that the food was what I asked for, and then went on to complain about how it was 'too far' (several times) for him to come back and fix the mistake and that his orders are 100% right 100% of the time. His attitude was disgusting and just rude, and I won't be ordering from here again.

Pretty cr@p all round. Very expensive, raw chips and the chicken tasted weird. Wait until you get home and eat what's in.

Great food and a friendly service I thought.... Ordered tea for a midweek treat one time. All made fresh and even had a chat with the owners! No issues at all! Nice and clean!

Went on a Tuesday. The man running the place is so rude and arrogant. We were sitting in, and saw the way he spoke to/about customers, shocking. We quickly finished our meal and left.

Unbelievably I’ve never eaten a kebab in my life! My wife really fancied a kebab and persuaded me that the chargrilled chicken kebabs from Sammys were not only delicious but also a healthy option. I’ve just eaten my large chicken kebab with hot chilli sauce wow! I’m hooked a definite weekly treat from now on! The place deservedly has a five star Food rating, alongside really nice friendly staff which all make it the place to go for takeout food. Their pizzas looked pretty sensational as well, while I was there I also found out they deliver. Thoroughly recommended!

The guys in here are so so so sweet. I ordered a chicken burger on Saturday nnight and accidentally dropped it on the floor, it was completely my fault. And they made me another one free of charge!! My drunk self was so happy. Theyre chicken burger are also very delicious

The food is always good and delivered hot and on time. We regularly order from here and would certainly recommend above any other local pizza delivery outlet. The burgers and kebabs are also good - apart from your diet!

Great kebabs, lots of meat, opportunity to customise when ordering online. Always ready when we go to collect, also do deliveries.

We have been getting food from here for years but lately the food hasn't been nice. The meat is chewy and tasteless especially the shish, I actually couldn't eat it I got tired of chewing. The kebabs use to be so nice here but as this has now happened the past few times we won't be returning.

We have been having meals from sammys for a couple of years now and they never disappoint nice friendly staff the shop is lovely and clean every body is so polite and the food is always delicious and when they deliver our border collies give them a good laugh as well

The donner meat was dry and tasted like it had sat there for hours. The chicken was decent in the mixed kekab. Over all an average experience

We come to visit the Wirral to see family throughout the year and we always try and make sure that a Sammy's takeaway pizza is part of our trip. The pizzas are just so so tasty and it's so clean in the takeaway - staff are always really friendly too!! We tend to have pizzas and order a side of chips and we've never once been disappointed. Can't wait to come back soon!

Only visited once but if you've had a couple of beers I highly recommend Sammy's special Calzone. Will definitely be returning!

My husband and I got a small mixed kebab each-we both have good appetites and although he just about finished his,I couldn't eat all of mine,even though it was delicious-great value for money.My toddler daughter enjoyed some of the chips too!We have only recently moved to Bromborough but I think this is our new favourite local takeaway.

Kebabs beautiful just not enough chilli sauce. The special kebab was particularly nice with the mixed meats. Plenty of salad and meat and a good price too 👌

Food order for four people, quickly delivered and food very nice.....unfortunately three of the hour meals should have come with salad.....no point in ringing as wanted food nice and warm,.......so good food but poor that bits were missing

Ordered here a few times . Went with my sis this weekend gone and they upgraded our pizzas without us even asking , so nice of them . Kebabs here are lovely . Staff are great place is clean , food tastes good . What's not to like ?
