People that work there are nothing but rude and have no manners, will not be returning!

Great place food looks really good - just in for a drink myself but everyone seemed content - and real fire 🔥 kept the whole place warm (hot)

A lovely traditional pub with a good vibe when we entered. Friendly and efficient staff. I ordered the special which was beef stroganoff. It looked delicious on the plate although I was surprised it wasn't thin strips of beef but thickly carved rare slices placed on top of the rice and mushrooms. Despite the beef looking very tempting, it was very tough and almost inedible (I ended up having to put a munched ball of meat into the paper napkin!! I'd have choked if I'd tried to swallow!). I ate the rice/mushroom + sauce combination but left most of the meat. This was mentioned to the waitress who smiled and apologised as though nothing was really wrong - and that was it. We were still charged almost £20 for rice and mushrooms. Erm.... A tad expensive.

I have been to this pub many times and it is always a great experience. Highly recommended, it does not disappoint.

It's a beautiful pub with very hospitable staff and good atmosphere, surving nice food. It's slightly expensive but a very good experience overall.

We have been visiting the Church Inn over the past few years on and off. We live about twenty miles away in Greater Manchester and It’s always worth while trip. We needed somewhere to celebrate the Irish 🇮🇪 rugby win. The Church Inn fitted the bill. The food, as always , was amazing, especially the sea bass.! The staff were professional and friendly and the ambiance was welcoming and comfortable. Looking forward to going back just need an excuse!!!

Excellent coffee as always from Abi today (and Anna when she is on), great stop off on our dog walking , and usually sit and chat with the regulars Also have lunch and dinner her on a regularbasis, food is excellent, chef prepared Great venue, lovely staff and efficiently run by Ed 😁

Just has a lovely lunch with my friend. We both had the seabass and the bread and butter pudding. The food was first class and we had great service from Naomie. We also rolled the dice and threw a 6 which meant our meal was paid for. Thank you.

What a great place for a pre Christmas meal and get together

Great place to meet friends for drinks, lunch or evening meal. It caters for children and there are convenient bus stops close by.

Had Christmas three course more veg would have been nice

The service was excellent - from the moment we were welcomed warmly. All the serving staff were so friendly - (especially our waitress, Olivia) very pleasant and attentive - working very hard during today's busy Sunday Lunchtime. The food was a real delight- well cooked and big portions. I would certainly recommend it and hope to visit again soon.

Just had a gorgeous meal here with the family, last minute walk in. Busy but found a table for us. Great decor. all staff very accommodating. Food fantastic. Fish and chips, pork belly, pie, burger. Yum :) really good quality. thank you. Since moving to the area in 2022 I haven't found a comparable pub yet.

Really nice pub and the food is amazing. Pie of the day is always good. Traditional, homely pub atmosphere inside and airy, heated area outside. Only downside is it's £7 for a pint which is pricey but not much more than most pubs in Cheadle Hulme.

The Church Inn is a good pub and does what a pub should do. Good beer, good food, and good service. It’s not always perfect but the staff are lovely and whilst there are a few “locals” it’s never loud or sweary so perfect for families. The Sunday lunch is good and we always sit in the bar area. Dinner for 4 with drinks £120

Delicious food in a lovely, welcoming cosy atmosphere

The food was beautiful! The waitresses were very attentive and our evening out was extremely pleasant. If we weren't heading back down South tomorrow we would have returned for more. Thank you for a lovely time!

I can't remember how long ago, in so many decades, that I've been to a pub and had a meal that felty like it was genuinely prepared in-house. The nduja scotch egg starter was not only substantial, but a delicious twist on a classic, the egg yolk perfectly jammy in the middle with a generously thick sausagemeat coating, spiced up with nduja. My wife has a special, Davey Crockett's Hot Pot, which was packed with flavour, and my sauteed beef shin was divine. Service was attentive, friendly and polite. A genuine gastro-pub that stands out in a sea of also-rans. Will definitely return.

Travelled here for a meal with my mum who cannot stand for long periods due to mobility issues and was refused at the door, as an event was going on which there were no signs up or anything online and the place was empty. Very disappointing service.

A Gastro pub with loads of character and a good and varied Menu. The food is very nice and well served. The staff are very helpful and friendly . The pub has a decent sized car park and there is a garden at the front of the pub and an outdoor sheltered area at the side of the pub . A very pleasant pub indeed with a good atmosphere.

The name of a pie should reflect the greatest ingredient first. The steak and kidney pie should be renamed as the kidney and steak pie. Absolutely gorgeous pie enveloped in luscious gravy, encased in puff pastry. Top notch. Highly recommended! Other half had the fish and chips which also went down very well!

Visited this pub with elderly family members and my wife as a party of 5 for the Sunday lunch. Very impressed with the standard of the food which was well presented combined with excellent and friendly service, with the food served at a good pace. My wife and myself ended up listening to the live band, which was very good, and stayed on until 11 o'clock. The pub became very busy which made for a great atmosphere. I would like to mention that the staff manage to provide a high level of service even when they are being run off their feet.

First of all, the food was good. Beautifully cooked and presented, dishes imaginative and portions just right. Secondly, the background music was just that and didn’t drown out conversation. Finally, service was professional. Ticked all our boxes.

We were visit friends nearby and they recommended this restaurant. We were told in advance there would be a delay with taking the orders - not a problem. There was a new menu today and there were many dishes to choose from including a fixed price menu for two or three courses. The starters and mains were beautifully presented. We had the butterflied sardines and dorada for mains. Both dishes were delicious and full of flavour. The service was very good and Fede and Kyle were attentive throughout our meals - thank you - Highly recommend

The food here is so tasty and such a good menu. The beer and ales on draught are spot on and the wines are ideal and paired well with the meal thanks to great service from all staff. The place looks great inside and out

This pub is a local gem and the best pub in the local area by a country mile. The food. Staff, layout and atmosphere are excellent every time we go. On a recent visit Kyle even noticed it was our dog’s birthday and provided him a special treat platter! The coffee is good too.

The love affair is truly over as is the good food and good service from this Pub. What a shame as it used to be so good but now they cheaped out on all the menu options. It's poor value and the staff kept on circulating. We didn't have the same server twice

We were looking for a nice country pub to have a meal before a work conference. We stumbled upon The Church Inn via google. It was a lovely pub and we welcomed with the most delightful flower display over a pergola. The staff were absolutely on the ball - we were welcomed instantly, shown to our seats and they explained various specials. The food was exactly as you’d expect for an upmarket country pub. Wednesday is steak night and the steaks were on the money. Total bill for six people including wine was only £200 - great value for high quality service and food. If we ever return to that neck of the woods I’d certainly go back. Five stars 🌟

Walking past on a gloriously sunny afternoon and decided to call in for a drink. Sat outside in the sunshine and saw some people eating and thought it looked very nice. Asked for a menu and as it was 4:30pm we were given the Lunch (12-5) menu so decided we'd eat from that and not wait for the Dinner menu to kick in. Prices are such that the 2 Course option is a big saving from ordering separately so we both went for it. I had the Sea Bass fillet, followed by Marmalade Bread and Butter pudding, my wife chose Jacket Potato with BBQ Pulled Pork and the Cheeseboard to follow. The Sea Bass was excellent server with new potatoes and minty peas in a lovely sauce. My wife's Jacket was large and covered in the pulled Pork and cheddar and coleslaw. Both were enjoyed immensely. To be honest my pudding was the one down side of the meal, not horrible but I love B&BP and it just didn't quite hit the spot. Tasted more like a Christmas pudding than what I was expecting (still ate it all though!). The cheeseboard had three or four cheeses, a good number of crackers with butter, grapes and pickle. It was enjoyed very much. Can't help thinking if I'd gone for a chocolate option we might be looking at a 5.

Recently moved to Bramhall and have to say The Church is one of our favourite pubs. Atmosphere is so cosy and friendly, all staff are polite and say hello. We had Sunday lunch with our granddaughter which was excellent, and they provided colouring pages and crayons to keep her occupied. We also attended the tasting menu of Provenance which was amazing value for money. Service always 5🌟

Recently moved to Bramhall, and we have to say The church is becoming our favourite local pub. The atmosphere is so friendly and cosy, all the staff are polite and always say hello. We had Sunday lunch with our granddaughter which was excellent and they even kept her entertained with crayons and pictures to colour. The tasting menu of Provence was excellent value for money which included the wine flight. Looking forward to many more times in this lovely pub.

Had a super breakfast here on Saturday morning with my friend over from Oz . She said best coffee around . And super staff and service 👍

Saving grace was lady in charge of early breakfast who did all possible to ensure my maiden visit was satisfactory Uniquely l did not tip: - food unremarkable bar bacon -waitress in service area prioritised eating pastries and had to be reminded to provide basic cutlery -customer left unchallenged when vapping with coffee Yuk Thank you for the saving grace

My favourite pub in Cheadle Hulme!

A TARDIS-like pub which seems much bigger on the inside than the old brick facade would suggest. The covered outside seating areas are very comfortable and have a great atmosphere. The beer is excellent, the food delicious and the staff very friendly

Great food as always. Service good but staff not always aware of what stage we were at. Manager was training a new member of staff which was nice to watch. A busy Thursday so a lively but friendly atmosphere made conversation a little tricky.

It is some years since I last stopped off at the Church Inn on Ravenoak Road in Cheadle Hulme. As far as I could ascertain, the same family are running things so tried and tested skills are to the fore. From the most pleasant of welcomes to the presentation of the bill, the staff were excellent and show a fine appreciation of the work ethic. The food was very good and presentation both imaginative and professional. All of us were highly satisfied with our lunch and, already, looking forward to our next visit. Norman A Dean

Fantastic asunday lunch. We had both a large ( as you get cauli cheese, an extra very large yorkshire pudding snd the veg is slightly superior) and a regular size. The rest of the menu looks amazing

We haven't been to such a lovely pub / restaurant ever before. Everything about it was excellent and we look forward to returning there when we are next in the area

Went there for a family breakfast with 2 kids under 10. Really good food and enjoyable experience. We go there regularly with the kids and without and we are never disappointed with the service or food.

Very disappointed! The food here is mediocre at best. £18.50 for a pie and clumpy mash?! The description says "creamy mash potato" however it was far from it. The mash still needed mashing, the potato was still hard. The chips for the fish goujons were overcooked and burnt. The fish goujons were tiny and very thin. The customer service here is absolutely shocking. Waited 15 minutes for the server to clear our table despite 3 of them walking past us a dozen times. Finally after clearing the table we waited a further 15 minutes for the bill to come. Eventually we just went to the bar for the bill and to pay. Overall very poor food and service.

Absolutely amazing service received today. I was amazed at the amount of food and the food its self was fabulous. We all left full and wanting to return again soon. There was four of us in our party , booked in yesterday and each and everyone of us had amazing meals. So reasonable and they even finished off surprising me with a special birthday dessert. Thank you so much , what a great team, lovely atmosphere. I will be recommending highly and of course visit g again. Keep doing what you’re doing.

My wife and I went for a roast dinner with my wife's father on new year's day. The atmosphere was really good, the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. The vegetables were marinated in some lovely flavours and the beef just melted in the mouth. What a fantastic place to go for something to eat. We will definitely be going back to try some of the other dishes that we saw being taken to other table's. Well done to all of the staff working that day. Happy New year to you all👍👍

This looks like a great little spot for having coffee and pastry or cake outside. I stumbled across it on the way home from somewhere and was delighted to see it open on NYD! I had a takeaway coffee, asked for a latte with Oat milk but was given cow's milk. I don't drink cow's milk. Unfortunately I had already driven off by the time I realised so I wasn't prepared to go back. I only had one other drink in the order and spoke clearly so I can only assume the member of staff forgot. I'm sure an honest mistake but rendered it essentially a waste of money.

Visited this week with friends and had the Christmas festivities menu. It was fabulous! The best we have had . The staff were amazing. Thank you and compliments to the chef.

Went with friends for a pre Christmas get together. The festive melt was amazing. Some would call it just a turkey roll but when you add, bacon, Brie and cranberry sauce it goes to completely different level. Christmas pudding was delicious as well. Friends were very happy with their choices as well.

My mother and I had a very enjoyable lunch - the food was good and the serving staff were friendly and helpful.

Visited The Church on a drizzly Sunday evening. We were greeted by a friendly host who informed us there may be a wait for food but we didn’t mind as we were happy to soak up the atmosphere. We sat outside as there was no space inside but you wouldn’t know you were outside with some great shelter, heaters and some lovely decor to make it nice and cosy out there. We happily ate a three course meal and enjoyed every morsel of it, the roast dinners in particular were out of this world! The service was top notch and nothing was too much trouble. Not from the area so not sure when I would visit again but if I was I would definitely make a return trip!

I called in today The staff gave me a warm welcome. I only wanted a beer or two .I was accommodated with a table by the fire The young lady behind the bar deliverd my beer to the table as I'm on crutches. It was nice to enjoy a great pub with excellent staff Thanks

Went for breakfast on son’s birthday excellent way of spending morning

Absolutely fantastic food. Came on a recommendation for an impromptu birthday lunch on a random Friday. The place was heaving, we got one of the last tables. Seriously impressed with the food, veggie options were filling and varied with a lovely combination of flavours and textures. Not what you'd expect from a small Robinson's pub. My only gripe was that it took an awful long time to even have our order taken and then for food to arrive. We were in no hurry so it was OK but it would help a lot if they were just up front about the expected wait and then we could have relaxed and enjoyed it more. If we had been on a work lunch break or similar we would have had to leave. Honesty is the best policy. Still would absolutely recommend this place and planning to come back to try the Sunday lunch.
