The Cozy Cafe in Stockport

My breakfast wrap was nice, a little greasy but still a nice wrap but my daughters egg on her breakfast was undercooked and snotty. The two hairs found in the kids toast sealed the deal. We won’t be back . Shame because service and atmosphere in cafe was great.

The woman looked at my like I head two heads and replied with huh when I asked for a full English breakfast which was very strange, eggs were raw and the rest wasn’t great, very small portions for £10 a pop

Food and drinks were delicious and served promptly. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Been to this cafe a few times while visiting stockport.The service the last few times was fairly slow but the food was nice. Returned this morning ordered 2 full English breakfast and a tea and a coffee the drinks was served straight away then waited over 45 minutes for the food to arrive one breakfast arrived without the sausages and black pudding which you have to pay extra for the eggs was raw ,the bacon and sausages when they did arrive was over cooked and the meal was cold what a waste of money

Food lovely service was great just portion sizes were small, 1 egg 2 mushrooms and 2 chopped tomatoes 🍅 hash brown a little soggy

The hot drinks are well over milked and they use the same spoon for all the different types of drinks and the same spoon for the sugar

Ordered a sausage, bacon and egg barm. It was supposed to be large but was more like regular. The egg was so snotty and the bacon was like a sole of a shoe I couldn’t even eat it made me feel sick.

Breakfast was so so...egg wasn't cooked properly...toast was Cold/dry(hardly no butter)atmosphere was saved due to conversation etc with other customers...The owner was constantly on her phone & didn't interact with customers she didn't ask if everything was OK/If anything needed etc...She was more interested in her phone...had to find sauces/cutlery etc for yourself... Won't be Returning...

Excellent food and very friendly staff. Food was a bit more expensive than the same order at other cafes I go to.

My egg was runny border line snotty and had broke whilst been put on the plate. It cost 7.99 which I think is about averagely priced but the food was about average. The tea was awful tasted like the milk had turned. This must have changed owners, as I've not visited for a few years but O remembered it been a quality breakfast. We won't be returning.

Saturdays 29th April, went into the Cozy Cafe with my daughter and we had a small breakfast with tea. It was cooked beautifully, everything was perfectly done and presented very quickly to us. Absolutely enjoyed every mouthful , bacon, sausage, blackpudding, beans, perfectly cooked egg, and toast. Would highly recommend popping in when on Edgeley and at £6.00 a breakfast + cup of tea, great value for money too. Definitely give the Cozy Cafe five stars ⭐ 🌟 ⭐ 🌟 ⭐ and will go again soon Excellent service thank you

My only complaint. Hot food PLEASE put on a HOT plate. Staff Pleasent, Cafe Clean.

No toilets in this cafe. This is not right. Hygiene is not good. I was told I could use room at the back which housed mop and bucket. No hand wash.

Cheap tasting coffee. Fatty bacon. Hardly any butter on toast. And overpriced.

Good basic cafe. Clean place and friendly staff. Good prices . Just stopped for a quick sandwich and a drink. Lots of locals there too.

This is the the best place for a full English breakfast. BUT if your looking for a half English breakfast and want to leave in need of more food this is the place to go bacon egg sausage beans is what they call a "full english" oh and a little bit of mushroom I take it there wasn't mush room for more because the plate had 2 tins of beans onit. No hash browns or black pudding farmfoods sausages and aldi brown sauce.

Don't listen to the bad reviews, this place is lovely. Really friendly staff, good food at an affordable price. Would definitely recommend if you're in the Stockport area.

I'm giving it two stars because the food was actually nice but we had a cheese toastie and chips and one egg, chips and beans and two cans of pepsi. The girl who took the order said £12.10 but when the other lady came over to take the payment she said £14.80! That's a shocking amount! I would have paid around £10 for that in Othellos in stockport. That's where I will be going from now on. Almost £15 is a complete rip off. They asked about 5 times as well what the order was, they're not organised considering they're not a new cafe.

Staff not wearing masks. Tables dirty. Not great. Customers also wandering around without masks.

Such a dirty place to eat, everyone coughing and no social distancing. Food is terrible and the coffee comes out green. One of the worst.

Best Cafe in Edgeley. Staff are very friendly it's very clean with a 5 star hygeine rating and the food is top notch!

Very dirty place, all chairs and tables are greasy,sticky and black.! I'm understand that they make a money on regular consumers but I been once and don't want to back...Also there is no card payment.

Not cozy at all. Door wide open. Freezing cold. Hot food on cold plates and what does she do to those sausages??

I have been in here so many times and always loved it I went in this morning and asked for ketchup on my sandwich no sauce put on and the cheese was tasteless and the bacon was so fatty it’s a real shame used to love it here

Perfect. Hamid and Sarah always make you feel welcome and cook the food and exactly as you want it. Amazing full English breakfasts and fantastic sandwiches. Highly recommended!

great food great people great price best ever

I called into The Cozy Cafe on Edgly for a quick lunch Meat and Potato Pie (Hollands). Chips, Gravy, two rounds of bread and butter with a large cup of coffee The pie was superb not hard at the bottom just the way it should be Great service and price Plus of cause great food Thanks Dickie :-)

Ordered 2 full breakfast, they were the worst "EVER" and believe me I've eaten a few over the years, this place is so grubby inside, dirty sticky tables, greasy chairs, walls and skirting boards dirty and greasy, even the front door wouldn't close properly, which was a blessing as this allowed some of the smell out from the kitchen, when we arrived home had to have a shower and wash all the clothes... How this place has a 5 star hygiene rating is totally beyond me!!!!

Had breakfast here on Saturday morning as it was lovely. Food was tasty and hot. Staff were v friendly and they made a fine cup of tea. Will return here again if I am ever in the area.

We called in here for the first time (and certainly not the last), on Sunday. Friendly, basic, no-frills, clean, and no northen quarter style pretensions and silly prices! I had very tasty and typical British cafe grub, double egg & chips, beans, two slices of bread and a mug of tea, yum. My wife had a very good portion of chicken and veg soup with bread and a mug of tea. Only improvement would have been to serve crusty bread with the soup. Egg, beans & chips were perfect. Very good portions and good value no nonsense tasty food. We’ll certainly pop in again. Easy 5 minute walk from Stockport station Edgeley side. Recommended.

I eat quite regularly at the Cozy Cafe, polite and friendly stays open til 4,pm most days. Very clean and hygienic. NOTHING IS TOO MUCH TROUBLE

My preferred local cafe since the owners are friendly, the prices reasonable, and it's open on Sunday unlike most of the others on Castle Street.

The title says it all. Great value, lovely people, tasty food. Love it. Honest cafe experience without todays coffee bar chain over rated stuff

Me and my partner enjoyed a lovely chicken and bacon Panini. Service was fast and excellent. We were offered hot drinks and fresh scones too. Well recommended.

Cosy cafe Portwood! Not the pale imitation on Edgeley . very nice social environment. Lots of elderly biker men's. Chatting bikes n stuff. Saturday is the day mini skirted biker grannies and their Fonzie's tapping there toes to the authentic tunes coming from the antique Wurlitzer . if you ever wanted a northern Ace cafe this is the spot!

The service is excellent and the cafe is very clean and bright. We always our breakfasts there. The portions are just right and very filling. The people who own and run this cafe are lovely and really give top notch service. I highly recommend this place.

This cafe is OK but it is only average. I ordered apple pie and custard and they gave it me cold. They sell a reasonable range of food but it is a no frills kind of place.
