Popped in here for a quick pint on a Thursday eve before doing an escape room. Lovely friendly staff and great atmosphere! Would definitely visit again :)

Visité este lugar mucho. Después de la última experiencia podemos decir que no volveremos. Fue servido en la barra por un hombre muy grosero (con bigote) cuando le pedí pedir una porción de papas fritas que rompió en dichas paradas de comida a las 7 así que le expliqué que solo eran 6. 20 Tomó el dinero y claramente notó que no estaba contento con esto. Después de 40 minutos mi compañero fue al bar de nuevo para más bebidas para otro hombre para decirnos que necesitábamos un reembolso por las patatas fritas como el chef se había ido a casa! Eso no fue un problema, pero sabíamos que era demasiado esfuerzo para ellos. ¡Después del reembolso, las fichas se trajeron justo cuando nos íbamos! No estoy seguro de lo que ha pasado con este lugar siempre fue un ambiente encantador y el personal siempre fue amable. El hombre con bigote claramente está en el trabajo equivocado golpeando sillas, etc. No creo que solo nosotros tuvimos el problema con él tampoco.

Great place for live music and food

Great little place. Love the atmosphere and the bands are always good. The sausage Dog alone would get 5 stars from me 😊

Superb town centre pub with regular live music

I've played here occasionally with live 'Jam' bands. Nice chilled atmosphere.

Amazing live music. We watched a band called RockinSomnia. They were fantastic rock and blues. Beer was well kept service was excellent

Great rock pub for intimate live gigs. Entrance has always been free when I've gone so you're just paying for your beer, of which there is a decent selection.

Had a meal here, massive BMTH fans. The restaurant is 100% vegan, out of the 6 of us only 2 were vegans, usually when I have vegan food it's "ok" at best, but this was different. I had the hex mex, one of the best burgers I've ever had, even the fries tasted better than normal - but they're just fries, how is this possible? Out of the other 5 people, 1 said it was she best burger he's ever had, and the other 4 all said its some of the best food they've ever had. The place itself is aesthetically pleasing and the music being played was very much to our taste, everything was clean and tidy. Only knocked 1 star off service because somewhere along the line they managed to forget mine and a friends meal and we had to wait 20 minutes for it, but we didn't care because the food was that nice I didn't care, I was munching on my wife's waffle fries and a friends nachos while I was waiting, swallow the food almost orgasmicslly.

Lovely pub with live music. We didn’t eat so have not rated food. Good selection of beers in a converted Victorian chapel. I have heard there has been some ghostly experiences over the years. I investigated because one of the glasses on our table lifted approx 10cm off the table and threw itself in between 2 of the party drenching them in beer. !! No one could believe what we witnessed but it was witnessed by more than 1 person so we know it wasn’t done by anyone at the table 😱

What an amazing pub, converted church so amazing building. Live music at the weekend and incredible sound and acoustics. Made to feel really welcome, nothing too much trouble. Food was great, and a really brilliant range of dirty fries!!! Great range of real ale too! Lots of space, small garden as well. Total recommendation and you can even buy your t shirt!! Enjoy the atmosphere and good beer.

Amazing pub run by fabulous staff, the destination in the city centre for live rock music! Excellent pints served with a smile and at a reasonable price, couldn't recommend this place more!

Outstanding place. Killer live bands too. Always a good night. Fantastic atmosphere and a friendly vibe. Fab rum and cider. Plus getting many groups higher up the level as in original bands. Awesome as ever! Pedigree artists like Eric Bell playing here make it a special place indeed. The same great ,place! A great way to start 2024. A good venue for wastching bands. A good rangeof beer. Food OK but pricey for what you get. But I suppose paying a bit extra for drinks and food allows them to put on bands with no door charges.

Brilliant place churchouse live bands on all the time not many places that do this so a real bonus 👌

8th march first time going and loved it baby Guinness went down well 🤣we had a couple of drinks during the day then went back later for more and the live band top gun. They were awesome The staff are really friendly and we will definitely be going back next time I come to Sheffield

Wandered in on a Saturday- place was really busy and the live music was great. I would have liked a slightly larger choice of real ales (and the one I had was slightly expensive). Apart from that, impressed.

It was a very nice pint of Guinness (7 out of 10) The atmosphere was good and the ladies I was with were freindly 😉 👍

Unexpected find. Live music and good ale- what's not to like?

Lovely friendly and helpful staff! The atmospher is awesome if you like a relaxed yet exciting place to meet with friend. Everywhere you look you always find something new to look at. Everything has a story in there and I think they've done a fantastic job. I will be returning!

Great live music and ghost .my partner was sat there last night and his pint of larger was on the table and next thing me know it moved and was all over him and this happened twice.on the way out he spoke to a member of staff and he asked if the place was hounted and he said yes and it's not the first time this has happened.

Best bar of its kind in Sheffield

One of the best pubs in Sheffield in my opinion. The staff are very friendly and always make you feel welcome. A good selection of beers, not too many, about 4 or 5 casks beers, but a good selection. As many largers, but I don't drink it myself. And John Smiths said Guinness if you're not very adventurous. Inches Ciders nice in summer. Always there on a Friday night and live music is great. For a pub in town it's a lot more like a local pub as opposed to the sort of pubs you get up West Street. 10/10

It used to be really good in here, great atmosphere. These days it just feels awkward when you come in during the week.

The venue is great for low volume music earlier in the evenings and live bands later... so you can have a conversation then kick back and enjoy! Also... the sausage dog that occasionally comes out to play is super cute!

No word of a lie, a ghost pushed my glass of wine off the table and the bar staff confirmed the place was haunted. 10/10 would come again.

Only come in for one pint but it seems great. Likely to come back for some food and drink stabs later date for sure. Oh, watch out for the sausage dog Norman, he’s a treat.

Great place to go good beer selection staff were friendly and helpful and the live music was a real bonus a must visit place.

Happened upon a good band on 29th September great atmosphere. Bar was busy, the staff didn't help by severing thier friend that came to bar after me, not the punters that have been waiting politely in turn

A fantastic music themed pub virtually next door to Sheffield Cathedral. Brilliant atmosphere and friendly staff. It had a live band on the Saturday night we visited. Also late opening that evening (to 2am I think). Great drinks selection with offers on some spirits (rum and gin noted). Lovely 'Baby Guinness' shots also available. Looking forward to going back sometime soon.

Good choice of ales Was quite mid week when I popped in but still had good atmosphere and background music on. Food looked good and good value from what I saw coming out while I was having a quiet band , regular bands on.

Visited for the first time today with my partner and her mum and it was a great old skool pub. The staff were lovely and we were greeted by their adorable little sausage dog. We played jenga and had a beer which was nice and it was decorated really well, will definitely be back again to have a few more beers and hear the live music 🎶

Friendly, great beer and live music on a weekend. Live music starts a little late for me, not being that local, usually 9:15-9:30pm just get into it and have to leave for tram.

Old style pub vibe but it’s what I like to see nowadays. Good choice of drinks.

Best drinks and entertainment, especially for rock and heavy metal

The barman has no manners, does not understand please or thank you etc, a man with a distinctive moustache and glasses. He also banged on the till drawer aggressively when I handed over my cash, does not seem happy with his duties at all, perhaps he should be relieved of them? Some establishments need to understand that when people go out for a drink, it has to be a bettter experience than they could have at home. I would be mortified if my home was in the condition this venue is in. The toilet was filthy, feaces stains around the seat, something sticky staining the walls and a wobbly, bodged tap. The whole of the bar was littered with grime, cobwebs and broken fittings. This place is disgusting.

Good centrally located pub. Range of beers is ok if not brilliant, but good atmosphere and also live music some nights.

I come in here when I'm in Sheffield, it's a Rock/Metal pub with live bands playing usually on Friday evenings... So don't come in here If you want a quiet pint on a Friday evening... 😁 I'm not sure if bands play other days as ive only been here on a weekend.

The most inclusive place in Sheffield. A very warm welcome by friendly staff whenever you go. They have great bands ( usually rock but not always) on a Friday and Saturday nights. Andrew and all the staff are lovely and go above and beyond every time, as they are not currently doing food, you can order in and will provide plates and cutlery for you. You will always get a friendly welcome as once they know your face, you will always be remembered. Definitely worth a visit 😊
