The Chocolate Works Skipton in Craven

Visiting Skipton for the day, I couldn’t pass this café without going in! I treated myself to a hot chocolate and four from the loose chocolate counter: expensive, but delectable.

Fantastic cocktails 2 for 1 on Thursday evenings. Awesome atmosphere and staff very attentive and welcoming. It’s a must! Definitely going to be a regular event

Fabulous hot chocolate and coffees .... so good we called in twice during our weekend stay in Skipton. They offer different blends of hot chocolate to suit all tastes, including vegan. Drinks were hot (not always the case for take aways these days). Friendly and helpful service. Top notch. 🌟

Wow !! Went just for a coffee on a miserable day and it turned out to be a hot chocoltae!. Large and full of flavour. Served by the 2 most delightful people - all smiles so just what was needed on this day. Had a type of Tea Cake (name I cant remember)with butter. Oh yummy. Then the best bit - the delightful guy said there are a couple of chocolates for you both. Well they lasted 1 minute and so then had to go and buy some - what a great advert - he knew I was a chocoholic obviously. They are quite fantastic and can honestly say some of the best ever tasted. When in Skipton I know where I am oing.

A lovely little cafe in Skipton, we had just been to the castle and fancied a hot chocolate and found this little gem, I had a house blend with cream and marshmallows and partner had a white chocolate one, they are made with real melted chocolate too so are absolutely delicious, we shared a slice of tiffin which was gorgeous and decided to buy a cinnamon bun and croissant to share for our breakfast the next day and he did them very very cheap for us as it was after a certain time and then when we were leaving he gave us a chocolate each, he was the general manager and was working with another young lad and they were both lovely and chatty! Definitely recommend if you want to indulge in chocolate. Will return :)

We drink a lot of hot chocolate & this has to be up there with the best! Excellent quality, great value for money, lovely atmosphere. We'll be back! ☕

Me and my partner treat ourselves to a vegan hot chocolate every now and again and this place caters for us, it’s the only place I have found near where we live that does vegan hot chocolate. It is absolutely delicious as well, Anisa was the young lady who served me on my last visit and she was a lovely pleasant girl, lovely friendly staff on this visit

What a lovely hot chocolate! I came here with my sister and dad after a wander around the castle (review for that coming soon). Lovely vibe going about the place as we walked in and we were served by Ben, who is a lovely, friendly person with a smile from ear to ear. The hot chocolates I would give an 11/10 to, they were amazing!

I turned up after a stressful morning at 9am and Ben was super welcoming and friendly. The coffee was great and it was a good space to hide away upstairs to dial into a few meetings.

Excellent service food drink and atmosphere. Gluten Free food available. Our server Gabriel was attentive and pleasant. A welcome break after a days walking.

This is an absolutely lovely cafe to have a hot drink. The staff are soo lovely, and soo welcoming. I highly recommend this place xxxx

My experience here was poor. It started when I walked in, looking for a coffee and cake to spend some time I had free. I asked at the desk what coffees they did, as there was no menu visible behind the counter. The staff member actually LAUGHED at me, and pointed with disdain at a laminated list resting on the counter. Her attitude was dismissive, and I instantly felt unwelcome. I should, in retrospect, have picked her up on her rudeness, but that sort of thing doesn't come naturally to me. Against my better judgement, I stayed. The decor is corporate and uninspiring. The lad who brought my coffee and cake over was actually quite pleasant, which I could not say about his work colleague. Overall, the service was poor, and more akin to the 1980s than the 2020s. The coffee was really unappetising, weak and watery, and it had a large amount of chocolate on it, which I hadn't been consulted about. The pecan slice was oversweet and unpleasant. As I sat reading the paper, a couple came in and sat down and ordered drinks. They were still waiting about 15 mins later when I left, having left my coffee and cake unfinished. Whilst in the cafe, I was also offered by a waitress two coffees which I hadn't ordered, when a couple sat near me were clearly the ones waiting. I'm surprised that they seem to be doing OK, considering the large amount of competition in the town, and the many great outlets on the same street. They need to up their game, and, sadly in some instances, get more customer service training (young lad excepted, who was good). I really don't like to be negative, but I was so irked by this cafe that I had to review it.

Excellent experience. Attentive service from two young lads, Simon even brought my two little girls a free chocolate each, which went down very well, thank you! Yummy cake and iced latte. Clean and tidy toilets, lots of delicious treats on the menu - will definitely return and recommend.

I have been coming to the works for quiet a long time and always found the coffee, chocolates delicious. The staff a very helpful and greet with a smile.
