Excellent fish suppers, very tasty and freshly made, well priced too. The chicken suppers and pizza were also good, staff were pleasant and helpful.

Just a brilliant, traditional chippy. The best fritters, amazing lentil soup and all the usual suppers etc. Tea is great, and sit-in option is fab!

I used to come here as a child and eat with family. Visited at the weekend and was so pleased to see it hadn’t changed in all these years. Same family business and same great food. They even have all the jars of sweeties lined against the wall and window that I remember. Will definitely be back.

It's a fish and chip shop, but I found the fish and chips to actually be quite bad. The fish seemed a bit undercooked (although not to distasteful, and surprisingly I didn't have any disturbed stomach the next day) and the chips just really tasted bad. Could have been something wrong with the fryer or something though, but I'm not eager to go back. The rest of the place seemed like any other small chip shop with some sit down area. Not glorious, but not the worst. However, they have a huge variety and selection of candy and loads of deals for meals that all seem really really reasonable.

You feel like you have taken a step back in time when you come in here. It's not the most popular place in the town and that may explain why the batter on stuff is a bit on the chewy side. Also they close early and open late???? Why....

Lovely family business with great staff been using it faithfully since the 1970s. Sometimes the fish and chips aren’t spot on but what the heck I still go back and now they deliver it’s even easier. The Mac n cheese supper is 👍

My family visited here twice while on holiday, as a treat. Its an amazing little place and although its slightly more expensive than some fish shops, the taste and flavour is well worth it! The guy who works there is very friendly. We will definitely return one day. Can recommend the fish supper...after I was informed that this is what the Scots call it lol....in my ignorance, I just asked for a large fish and chips, oops! The batter is amazing

The Chip Barn is a traditional fish and chip shop with a sit in area for about 15 people. Its style harks back to the 1960's but the food is what you expect though recently the range has been improved a bit. If your looking for a traditional fish tea with bread and a hot mug of tea this is your place.

All the reviews that say its bad, its not. I live quite close so I could walk down. Great food, prompt service, place looks quite nice (after years of it being there!) Very cheap so hats even better!

Not the best Chippy in the world but certainly not the worst that I've visited. the food was probably above average but the staff were quite disinterested the couple of times that I went in so I used an alternative after that.

Whenever our family come through from Glasgow we go to The Chip Barn and have Luigi cook the dinner for them all. ;-) Great food and very reasonably priced. Friendly staff, especially Luigi who always makes me laugh!

Popped in whilst travelling home, was starving, so anything would do. My first impression was it was a grubby wee place ( why did I not listen to myself) Ordered a fish supper, which was suspiciously cheap, staff were to say the least, odd. Got my order, took it home, tried one chip, it was awful, tasted stale, and burned. Fish I did not even attempt, it smelled totally off, threw the lot out. Will not be back, and environmental health have been contacted

Atmosphere and staff were amazing. The £38 fillet steak. Medium rare when it came out it was tuff and cut in half. Well over cooked. The bassa fish. The plate was swimming in green puree.🥲 we got complementary puddings. The apple crumble was microwaved. We got a small pot of custard when it was ice cream I asked for. The small pot of custard wasn't enough to cover the crumble. Waist of money👎

All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, in this spacious pub. Haggis bon bons? Don't mind if I do! That burger too, tasted exactly how it's meant to, like real beef...

Everything you want from a Main Street pub in Scotland! The beer selection was fantastic, the service was lovely, there were plenty of places to sit inside and outside, and there were lovely people to chat to at the bar. There was a man with a beautiful dog named Dave who was the highlight of my day! I love that the bar has so much history and has been standing for hundreds of years! Highly recommend a visit to Biggar to check it out!
