Food remains great, lovely local pub, friendly staff, regularly updated menu. And at last a burger that doesn't have a brioche bun, but a sourdough one.

Excellent food ,although a little too much for us OAPs, not a complaint,just an observation.we had fish and chips and chicken curry .Service was good and pleasant,polite and helpful staff. It is many years since I was last here. It will not be very long before I come back again. Very reasonable prices too. Enjoyable lunchtime.

Went for Sunday lunch today and it was absolutely stunning, best roast potatoes I have EVER had. Loved it

Lovely food! And they did fit us in, last minuite! If I had to offer any feedback I'd say the food service could of been a smidge quicker. As we were waiting over an hour between ordering and getting our meals, but still like I said the didn't fit us in last min on a Friday night!

Popped in as we were passing through. We got seated very easily without a booking as it was quite quiet. Service was polite and efficient, the quality of the food was okay but below where I think they 'pitch' themselves as a gastro pub. For example the chicken supreme was not 'stuffed' as described but merely slices of chicken. My good lady plumped for the belly pork - her comments were that the mash lacked seasoning, the belly pork was quite dry at the bottom and they over did it with the mustard sauce. Not so bad as I wouldn't go again but I rush there either tbh.

Friendly staff great service fantastic food

We've eaten here many times and have never been disappointed with the food we've had. On the current weekday menu; early 2024, they have feather blade of beef which is our current favourite and far better than we've had in other local eateries.

The food is always better than the menu might suggest! A great place to meet friends.

Food was superb but didn't know belly pork was to be fried. Starters spot on pate & goats cheese The service a bit slow we did receive an apology with main booked 6.30pm left 8.20pm 2 courses. . Will be back again.thank you

Food was fantastic especially for the price. They even made an apple crumble dessert for me without cinnamon as I don't like cinnamon. Fantastic cannot recommend more highly

I used to work at RAF Sealand and this was one of my favourite haunts on the way home at times can become quite busy

We've been coming here for years & the standards & food have always been amazing! We always get a lovely smile with a warm welcome when we arrive. The food is so lovely & fresh, it's always a delight. We've never had a bad experience.

Another amazing experience here. The staff are lovely & always have a smile when greeting us. The food is beautiful, We've never been disappointed. We each had the 3 course Sunday roast with drinks, it was great value.

Once again, a lovely welcome, warm & friendly service and a beautiful, tasty freshly cooked meal . . A Big thank you to everyone who helped make our visit so brilliant . . I wholehearrtedly recommend the Yeoman❤

Very friendly staff nice food deffo go back

Service was a bit lack lustre, had to wait while they searched for condiments. Gammon was very fatty and a bit dissapointing.

Fish over cooked , gammon to salty and too tough could not cot it left the waitress took it away no apology never saw her again sorry but we will not be returning nor will I reqecamed

Food was excellent, Service was great and really friendly. Atmosphere was just right for what we wanted for Sunday lunch/dinner. Never been there before so can’t comment on the atmosphere but it was just what we needed for our needs on the day. Best Roast beef I have had on a long time though. 10/10 for the meal. Plates where empty.😁

Quite simply, truly wonderful Sunday lunch. Quality food with the home cooked taste and perhaps even better. Service with a smile. Constantly quality food over the last few years. Only point if the owners read these, is please update the website with current menus. Other than that, it's the only place I now go locally for quality food.

We went for a Sunday roast and had to leave as soon as our food arrived because of a moody toddler. We asked if our food could be packed up, expecting a slightly soggy meal when we got home. The quality of food was amazing, nothing was soggy, everything was absolutely delicious - would highly recommend a roast. The team were so accommodating, thank you so much!

Why did I not take photos of our meals? I don’t know! Our food was fabulous especially the pate starter and pulled lamb on flat bread with a delicious salad, which is a is a main meal. The fish and chips are delicious, the fish having the most wonderful batter! Service was excellent. We have just not been going out since lock down and decided to go to our (before lock down) favourite local. We will be back soon! Thanks to all the staff! Just brilliant in every way😍

The best food around. Friendly staff, good selection of drinks and dog friendly - you couldn't ask for a better local pub.

My car was being MOTd at Brookdale Motors so I went next door to The Cheshire Yeoman for a coffee. I took 1 look at the menu & ordered lunch. The food was gorgeous: belly pork + veg, then cheesecake, + a Pinot Grigio & soda. Absolutely delicious. And, it didn't cost the earth. My car passed its MOT😊

Have visited a few times and always had great service and food. Visited Friday 17th March with some friends staying with us and tried the new menu. All four of us were happy with our food and there are certainly other things we want to try on the menu; so we will visit again soon.

Visited today 18/3/23 with my brother for lunch. Lovely welcoming staff and a great and varied menu. Settled on a burger, which turned out to be a spectacularly good burger. Choice of chips, which you don't get elsewhere. chunky or skinny. I've only been home two hours, but if I had room, I'd go and eat it all over again. Highly recommend this place. Definately be returning, probably next week. Full marks. Deserve the 5 stars.

My favourite place for years, staff, environment, & drink first class 👍. I would normally say that about the food, but not today for Sunday lunch, my wife had the beef on the Sunday menu, I had the lamb + chicken. Her beef was as tough as old shoe leather, & my lamb wasn't much better, and why oh why do you cover everything in a layer of salt, even the vegetables, that's why salt selers are on the table, it's a matter of personal choice. My big mistake was not sending both meals back, that's what I should have done & will do next time, come on Yeoman you can do better than that, hopefully it's a one off, would only give the meal maybe 2 stars. Sorry.

The food is always good here. We try and visit at least once a week. The Sunday lunch is just divine,and not to expensive for what you get.

Great place to stop for lunch after walking the dogs, the food was good and good selection of drinks. The desert wasn't up to scratch though.

A beautiful find. We met up with friends and wanted a halfway place and found this pub when searching the area. 100% brilliant from start to finish. Food was fresh and hot. Not too expensive. The young girl on shift was fabulous her service and friendliness was perfect. This will be our halfway meeting place from now on. Thanks guys.

First Time Visiting went for early Birthday Meal the staff are friendly food is lovely plenty to choose from prices are reasonable highly recommend will be going back again

Booked at last minute online and so happy we did food was amazing and plenty of it, we went for the 3 course deal and added the extra meat , from the starters to the mains and desserts everything was spot on lively and hot and tasty , the pate and pea and ham soup was so tasty and fresh the entire mains were beautiful and veg was slightly crunch just how I like it , the red wine gravy was out of this world and desserts were amazing , iv been looking for Rum & Raisin ice cream for ages and finally found it , I asked for an extra 2 scoops as thought it would be a small serving, my mistake it was huge 😀 the only thing they could offer me after all that would have been a couch to lay down on x We have eaten at 3 other places in area since moving but by far this was the best Sunday dinner so far, we won't be going any were else from now on, all the staff were so lovely and helpful even though they were busy. Top marks all round team cheshire yeoman. Hat off to the Chef.

Stopped for some food en route to a weekend in Chester Came highly recommended to us so was really looking forward to our visit here , however felt a little bit of a let down. Arrived and place was empty advised only seat was the 1 we was shown as the rest was apparently booked. No atmosphere no music . Very strange … So quiet …. Drinks list given and menus. Still the place was empty. The window seats all still vacant . The best seats to sit in I think Food arrived and felt like we was being watched as sat immediately in front of the bar/reception/check in host desk. Hence we then ate the Food rather quick . Every word we spoke to each other was heard by the table who was sat within 50cm next to us. (Only other table still with diners on) As we asked for the check then some more guests came in for a table - Very quiet and quite un comfortable experience Won’t be returning Give the 2 stars as the food was actually ok

Hoping to move to Chester in 2021 so we tried this as it would be our local, very nice food definitely would go again. Edit September 2022 Have since moved to the area and stand by this, menu has had a nice update and we have regularly gone for food and drinks over the last year.

Visited yesterday (13/08) Outs8fe table qith a little white (noisy) pooch. we had steak in chiabbata with chips ... bloody lovely. Chips were cooked to perfection. Old moat cider to compliment my food.

Very disappointed in here as food has gone downhill,went in a couple of years ago it was very good then,sorry but won't go back

Absolutely excellent pub! We went here literally 10 years ago when visiting the area and decided to return this weekend whilst we were local again. Nothing has changed (for the worse). The location is fab, the food is well priced and delicious, and the staff are really friendly. We visited as 4 adults but others were in their with their kids and were clearly enjoying their visit too. Highly recommend if local - large and free car park also.

We've just had Sunday lunch at the Cheshire Yeoman. I don't very often leave reviews, but we were so impressed I felt I needed to say thank you. The service was excellent, really friendly, helpful and attentive, even though the restaurant was very busy. The starters of glazed chipolatas were delicious, just the right amount too. We both had roast beef which was cooked to perfection, so too were the vegetables. The roast potatoes were so crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, absolutely delicious. The piece de resistance was the Yorkshire pudding, they were huge! Thank you Cheshire Yeoman, can't wait to revisit and try other dishes, xxx

Very clean modern place, but with some nice old touches like the open fire. Friendly bar staff, they do food which seemed very popular which I have yet to try. On this occasion I only had a drink.

Good value for money, friendly staff, amazing food

Food portions were a little on the pricey side. My double cheeseburger was very tasty but the ones that had steak said that it seemed quite small but apart from that everyone enjoyed their food.

The food was excellent The staff were very friendly and service exceptional. For this reason I left a good tip. Will definitely be visiting here again 😊

My husband and I, met up with friends and had a LOVELY MEAL. The Waitress was very helpful and friendly. We will be going back for more LOVELY meals. If you want a lovely meal and friendly Waitress, I recommend The Cheshire Yeoman.

I've never been in before so I didn't know if it was table service or what but me and the Mrs were well looked after as we looked a little lost. We had the duck pate, braised beef and a steak sandwich which was all just lovely. The place was clean and tidy and tastefully decorated for Christmas.

Plenty of parking space. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, a bit noisy at times particularly when the coffee machine was being used . Three of the four main meals were good, the other meal, "three fish" suffered from it being cover in to much oil, the person who had it enjoyed the fish but could not eat the mash potato because of the oil. Two of our group had the crumble for dessert and were very disappointed. They said the crumble tasted like granola. What cannot be faulted was the table staff, they were excellent.

Nice place, a little noisy in the dining area ( it was full though ) meals were ok but I would advise you get a side of seasonal veg as you don't get many on the meals themselves. Staff polite and friendly, large carpark. Only Downer was walking into a cloud of cigarette smoke leaving for the car. Smoking area seems to be right next to the entrance and exit doors. Other than that, a pleasant night out.

Food was ok not as good as previous visits the service was poor didnt feel looked after table booked for 7pm didnt get main meal till 8.30 PM it was father in laws 90th birthday and had to chase for drinks no one asked if everything ok wouldn't go back

The food is good but the service is on the slow side taking almost 50 minutes for our mains to be served.

Lovely sunny location, quiet when we went on a Saturday lunch. Food was pleasant, albeit the curry was a little mild. Fish and chips fine. Service was slow. Prices a tad high, maybe 20-25% over market comparison. Plenty of parking.
