Fanastic quiche and salad friendly staff. Brought plate to table. And delicious hot chocolate. So much choice. I had a vegetable quiche. And salad and coleslaw. I definitely go back again

The coffee shop is a lovely, relaxing space with plenty of food and drink options. I was served promptly with a latte and delicious Bertinet pastry. It's easy to lose a lot of time here!

I have been a customer of the Chelsea road deli for many years. I recently visited, I bought a couple of baguettes. I stood at the counter and was ignored for a good couple of minutes by the woman serving as she was busy talking with the people in the kitchen, one of which was the manager. She looked at me several times but still ignored eventually she came to the counter to serve me. But before I had finished placing my order she struck up a conversation with another man who was waiting to be served. I waited for her to finish speaking and asked about some of the food on the counter I wanted to add to my order. She ignored me asking twice, so the third time I said it loud enough for the people in the kitchen to hear me too, so she responded saying just a minute, with no eye contact and a rude tone. When I came to the till to pay she pulled a face as if to say she felt put out by me! When I got back to my car and started eating my baguette I looked to see that it had been made with soggy gone off lettuce, and cucumber that looked like it had been cut 24hrs before! I also forgot an item so asked if I could pay for it and was told we have a charge for card payments under £3- this is fair enough however I’d just spent nearly £20 on my card in their shop only seconds before! The manager took my payment he said I’ll let it go this time! I thought what a cheek! I’m reviewing this coffee shop because I don’t feel that an in shop or over the phone complaint would be taken seriously or listened to with a professional ear! I also bought a couple of full English breakfasts from them a couple of weeks ago and wish I hadn’t bothered, the eggs were slimy on top and inedible. And the sausages tasted like they had been reheated. It was really disappointing. In light of the above and the rudeness from the woman serving with brunette bobbed hair with a fringe and the other women with short curly hair that I was recently served by - I won’t be returning! It’s a shame because the new manager appeared to be turning it around, hence why I’ve returned up until this point!

Great place! G & the gang are the most welcoming team, serving the the best food & coffee. Fab selection available from the Deli, and always come away impressed. Thanks guys!

Lovely deli in Chelsea Rd ran by owner Giuseppe and his super efficient & friendly team. They've catered for us at home for a supper party, the food was superb nothing was too much trouble. Coffees & Italian pastries are delicious & there is also a fully stocked Italian groceries too. Just perfect.

Really cool little place, perfect lunch spot. Would highly recommend and will for sure be back to munch my way through the cake section 👊

The quality of the food served and sold in this deli is outstanding. The staff are lovely people. I use this shop on a frequent basis and would advise anyone in the area to come and visit it.

My wife and I popped into Chelsea Road for something to eat as it was lunchtime and we didn't want to go into central Bath and pay BANES sky-high parking charges. We found this place and were delighted with the food - we even purchased more to take away for our tea!

Popped in after dropping someone off for an appointment at RUH. My second visit in a couple of weeks. Attentive staff meant that my sandwich order was taken from the queue while I waited to order my coffee. Excellent oat latte and my sandwich on arrival was stuffed to the gunnels in the freshest bread. I cannot praise this deli enough

Someone call the bomb squad!.... this place is guilty of causing an outstanding taste explosion in my mouth! I seriously enjoyed every mouth full of food. Every item cooked to perfection. I guess I should explain that I had the full English and a cup of tea. You definitely get what you pay for and this worth every penny. All high quality products and dam those tomatoes were delicious..... and I don't really like tomatoes.... unless they were mashed up and used on a base for a pizza🤣 Would highly recommend x

Very welcoming, it was an extremely hot day and the owner immediately brought out bowl of water for our dog. We sat outside in the shade and were served quickly, the food and drink was very tasty, as well as good value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and we felt a bit like we were on holiday for an hour - thank you!

Such lovely service today and lovely options to eat. We ordered two full English breakfasts, one without an egg (which went on my plate) without tomato which was substituted for beans and extra bacon. Also ordered two english cups of tea. Absolutely delicious and great value for money. It also smelt amazing! Cannot recommend anymore!

My partner and I moved to Newbridge during Lockdown and found Guiseppe's friendly attitude and a good choice of products to be a really warm welcome to the neighborhood. We understood from our friends that the deli had been underwhelming before new management took over but we have had nothing but positive experiences here so far and imagine things will improve even more once Lockdown is over! The produce on offer is either traditional Italian fare (good quality tinned tomatoes are worth picking up), or locally sourced goods such as Bath Soft Cheese Co and Shepton Mallet dairy. We're yet to sit in to dine but I'm sure we will be doing so as soon as we're allowed.

Great spot for coffee and lunch. Great service and delicious choice of freshly prepared food such as baguettes, paninis, pies, salads, jacket potatoes and cakes. Also stocks lots of Italian foods, local ham and cheese counter etc.

Chelsea Rd Deli came under new management in January. It is now run by Giuseppe, with the excellent Kerry still there to assist. The atmosphere, standard of service and range of food available immediately improved. Then came the lockdown, Giuseppe quickly adapted to a takeaway service, and the deli has gone from strength to strength. In this hot weather iced lattes are excellent, but he does a fine cuppa too. Filled baguettes are mouth watering and made to order. There are some lovely Italian delicacies and food to eat in is fresh and well presented. Hygiene rules are well maintained, and service is friendly and welcoming. And all this when Giuseppe is just 19 years old. He is a fine young man who works extremely hard. I hope everyone will continue to support him in the future. Christine Sivyour.
