Picked this spot to meet some friends when we were traveling from Canada. Happy with our choice. The food was sooo delicious and we couldn’t believe the prices. If we lived in the area we would definitely be regulars. Highly recommend!

Yet another great meal served by very friendly polite staff, Chef will go above and beyond to cater for our needs, all staff will check and recheck that we are enjoying our meals and they are upto their usual standards. Have not had a bad meal ever, Chef/Landlord will offer different options for a very difficult dietary needs diner(myself) without any qualms going the extra mile. Would recommend to all Keynsham residents to try the pub out. Great atmosphere, have yet to try out 1 of their live music nights. We will see you again soon.

Rude passive aggressive bar maid, won't come back - totally uncalled for, shame as our local and like to meet with friends.

Walked in about 12pm, only one other table of 2. Picked a table and decided what we wanted to eat. My husband and I both fancied a burger. Our little girl had fish fingers. My husband went to the bar to order drinks and food. The girl behind the bar appeared to wish she was anywhere else. Not rude, but not a warm welcome. Asked for the burgers only to be told they hadn't received a delivery for 5 days and they had no burgers. Right OK, so I picked a pizza and my husband the half roasted chicken and sauce. When the food arrived, we wished it hadn't. My pizza was still frozen in places, the cheese hadn't even melted. I sent it back (very politely) and it reappeared a few minutes later on a plate which was boiling hot, They has obviously just shoved the whole thing, plate and all back into the oven. This made the bottom of the pizza wet due to condensation forming on the plate. The chicken my husband had was very dry and had no sauce on it, or possibly it did but it had long disappeared since it made its way to us. My daughters fish fingers were lovely! When the girl came to collect our half full plate she asked if everything was OK. So we politely explained the issues and how the food was almost inedible. She didn't offer an apology, just a shrug and I'll tell the kitchen. It was only a little while afterwards we discovered the girl who had been serving us was actually the landlady. We thought she was just a Saturday girl who didn't care much about her role. Shocking that in fact it was this lady's business, she clearly doesn't care about her business hence the poor customer service and even worse food. Shame as it's the most local pub to us and we wanted to love it, but never again.

We were visiting family in the area and stumbled on The Charlton looking for a quick bite to eat, and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re here! The young woman behind the bar (I think her name was Freya) was extremely welcoming and helpful, she was very patient with my inability to decide what to drink and helped me try to pick something (Ended up with a rhubarb and ginger gin, which was delicious!) My partner had their 8oz steak, which was cooked to perfection and roasting hot when it came out. Nothing was left on the plate when he finished, despite the portion size being pretty big! I originally wanted to have gammon, but was told they’d sold out earlier in the day so didn’t have any left. I ended up having the mac and cheese, which was absolutely delicious! Extremely creamy and again, was such a big portion size! The garlic bread it came with was a ciabatta, which was a nice change from the garlic bread you’d normally get from a restaurant. I got to speak to the landlady while we were eating, she came over to check that everything was okay with our food. I was surprised to see someone so young! She was extremely polite, funny and very attentive to us and the other tables who were there. A very big thank you to the staff there, we enjoyed every minute and will definitely be back next time we’re around! I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt I had to sing the praises of this establishment!

Had 2 burgers for a late lunch . One was cooked lovely the other was clearly a different type of burger..tasted almost of liver! and was quite horrible and under cooked . Condiment bottles dirty . Pub is dirty..filthy window sills ..looks like someone has picked of the plaster or has there been a leak. What ever it has been left Gents toilets smelt and would question when they were last cleaned Bar person..un interested and no where to be seen which seems to be a common theme here.. Won't be back which is such a shame . It needs managers who care about hygiene and respect the property and customers . Drinks are not exactly cheap here either ..

I've been to this pub quite often since it opened after refurbishment two years ago. The food was delicious, the service very nice and friendly. There has been a new management now for a few months now and the pub has definitely changed for the worse. Most of the staff behave as if they had to work as punishment. It's hard to count on a friendly and nice reception at the entrance. Service is indifferent at best. When I came for the first time a few weeks ago, only three tables were occupied and yet the tables were dirty, not prepared to receive new guests, dirty carpet and no one from the staff did anything about it. No one even bothered to ask if the food was okay. The second (and probably the last time) I was with friends yesterday. The pub looked even worse - tables rearranged after previous guests were flooded with drinks, litter on the floor, dirty toilets. I spent an hour and a half there and it wasn't until the end that one of the waitresses (I think) wiped four tables. She left the rest dirty. Plus, the young cook cleared the table instead of the waiters!

Do not bother eating here. Food is the worse we ever had. Couldn’t even make a cheese sandwich correctly and it was even left under the heat lamp and it was disgusting. The chicken was as dry and the bloke said it’s the ingredients sent and how it was done in the microwave. I tried to make a joke of how absolutely awful it was by saying sorry lovey your meals today was sh1t as that was being polite tbh. I seriously didn’t expect the rude and unprofessional response. Definitely avoid. Ppl who know me know I would never normally complain but seriously it was shocking. By the way I was with my mum and cousin who will also tell you how rude and shocking the bloke was. Didn’t care about the disgusting food they tried to palm off only bc I used the word sh1t.

Four of us had lunch today. There are rumours circulating that this pub is closing. This is far from correct as we Spoke to the staff and licensee. Really enjoyed our meal and staff very attentive. Pub lovely and clean. Will certainly visit again.

Fantastic Festive Sunday Turkey Lunch at the Charlton. We came as 1 household and were able to watch the rugby and the pub was well set up for Tier 2 and good social distancing policies. Newly refurbished we were really happy. Staff were excellent and really accommodating. Great food and the chocolate and Orange desert was delicious. Great team and great vibe in the pub. Good pub grub and drinks. Nice staff and nice outside area for kids and drinks in the sun. It’s been recently refurbished and the landlord can tell you a good story about his football career. Well worth a visit.

Early morning caffeine was needed and this was very close to my hotel. Ordered a latte and a muffin. Latte was beautiful and tasted good. Muffin was just okay.

I'm a frequent visitor to bristol airport, as my partner travels for work, so I'm often there to wait for his flights to come in. Unfortunately, there are very few options for anywhere to sit while waiting, other than cafe ritazza. Because of this, the cafe area is always busy, and all the regular/normal seating is always taken, so I have to try get my 50+yo arthritic, short arse up one one of their many Eiffel tower height stools, and if that's not hard enough, the darn things also swivel! No wonder all the other seating is always taken, and all these 'make yourself look like an ungainly idiot' seats are always free in huge numbers. Please please please cafe ritazza, rethink your seating options. Not everyone is an 8ft tall gymnasts.

I’m a travelling Australian and got excited about some home-style food but this was so bad. The rice clumped together like it was days old, the kale was discoloured and the serving size was pitiful. Could have made something much better myself for far less than the £15 I paid for this and a mediocre chai. Service wasn’t even friendly. I’m only giving it 2 stars because I had a juice there a few days ago and it was pretty decent - otherwise it would have been a one. And - on the plus side it didn’t taste terrible but the rice was a bit suss.
