I'm sad to say this was the worst dining experience I've ever had. The camebert was not cooked well. It was lumpy. The pork belly was mainly stringy inedible fat. The rosti was so disappointing. I left it all and just ate the uninspiring veg. The stroganoff was average. If I didn't have a groupon I wouldn't have paid for the main. We had enough left over for a dessert but didn't want it. Rose pinot was nice. Best bit, along with the crackling!

Absolutely amazing meal. The belly pork main course was the best roast I ever had. Loved the garlic King prawns and baked camembert too. Was faultless. Everyone should come here and eat

Went armed with a groupon offer. Excellent value food plentiful. Pleasant surroundings congrats to waitress who was on her own dealing with a fairly full restaurant. She was attentive and helpful

Used a Groupon voucher and had some lovely food. There was only us and one other couple on the mid week evening we visited. Such a shame as the food is great and the service professional. You can not mistake you are in a hotel and this may put people off as there is a slight lack of atmosphere although for a catch up with friends or a family gathering ( when allowed) this is a good venue. I wish this venue well as the food deserves more custom and even without a groupon the prices are fair as the portions are generous. The house red was good.

As others have, I used a Groupon voucher to eat here with a good friend. It was extremely good value for money. The quality of the food was top notch, and, unlike other Groupon deals experienced, you are not stinted on quantity. If anything, there was a bit too much for me, but then, I don't have an enormous appetite any more. The langoustine arrancini was really nice, two sweet potato cakes that came with it were too much, one was more than sufficient. Ditto the two boiled eggs that came with the monkfish hot nicoise salad, I didn't need those. My friend had a baked camembert for starters then fish & chips for mains, and also received generous portions. She happily worked her way through these. We were served by two delightful girls who looked after us very well. As this is an hotel restaurant, it was a little minimalist in design, but the atmosphere was good, especially considering it was a cold, wet weekday evening.

I do not often write a review but feel the quality of food deserves the highest rating. Whoever is out back preparing these dishes is a top notch chef. It would appear that it is made from scratch, which is always nicer. My wife said hers was the best she had, and it beat the QM2 that we were on recently hands down. The restaurant is in a nice position, atmosphere and the staff are friendly. Car parking is free on first come basis but be careful the entrance is quite tight. I highly recommend this place.It is one of Hove's little gems.

Got a Groupon voucher as a Christmas present. We had stayed at the hotel before but not eaten there. Didn't really fancy it when there are so many other interesting places in Brighton but... It was excellent, an interesting menu with everything perfectly cooked, delightful waitress and a nice atmosphere. Would definitely go again even without the voucher. Shame I don't live in the area.

Used a Groupon here on Wednesday evening. Husband had steak, chips etc and declared it "the best steak meal he'd ever had"! I had the lamb shank which was lovely. Generous portions. The desserts were delicious. Service good. Altogether I would highly recommend this restaurant

I had a superb meal here with a friend. Fantastic service, the food is excellent, probably the best fish and chips in Brighton and Hove. I am so pleased to have found this place and will definitely be returning soon.

Ate here last night celebrating a birthday having read other reviews . Food was some of the best we had in a long while Lamb shank and belly pork amazing , puddings were superb and huge , waitress very pleasant . Would benefit from tablecloths as restaurant lacks ambience .

We visited as an adult family group of 4 on a Groupon deal for 2 courses which was incredible value for money and we were able to choose from the full menu with no restrictions. We opted for main & dessert. Our meals, including one vegetarian, were plentiful, interesting, beautifully cooked and presented. It was an effort to find space for dessert but, after a short break, we managed! Our waitress was excellent and our meals were swiftly cooked & delivered. The restaurant was very quiet, which was a shame from their point of view but meant that we could chat happily and not feel rushed. Although we ate as part of a deal, the prices on the menu were extremely reasonable making it a very affordable place to visit. In fact, I ate in a popular chain restaurant the other day, and some of the choices here were similarly priced but incomparable in any other way! We will certainly return, hopefully very soon.

We ate here with friends.Thus restaurant is part of a hotel. It was very quiet for a Saturday evening. I ordered cauliflower soup with crayfish. I'm not a fan of black pepper and unfortunately the soup was full of it. I explained this to the waitress when she cleared our starters. My fish was great but the sauce, croquettes and even the vegetables were covered in black pepper! My husband had steak which came with a ramekin full of what looked like capers but in fact were green peppercorns. I didn't risk ordering a dessert. A real shame as I think the food would have tasted as good as it looked.

Went here for a meal out with a groupon and wasn’t expecting much. We had the burger and it was the best burger I have ever had! Would definitely recommend this restaurant and would definitely visit again.

Nice inviting seated restuarant with sea opposite the hotel! Erika the waitress was coping well by herself and always had a smile on her! Had three course and as you will see in my photos the 3 courses were very nice and plenty of it! The Italian chef is a happy character and asked customers if everything was all good and we all gave thumbs up!! Will definetly be returning in near future and would highly recommend for value and food.

My wife and I got a Groupon deal to visit this restaurant. The phone booking was very easy and we were able to pick the time we wanted. We were welcomed warmly into the restaurant. We got the same menu as everyone coming to the restaurant directly (a massive bonus, as it meant we could pick expensive meals like rib eye steak. Many other restaurants cheat by offering a cut-down Groupon menu.)Everything starting from the warm service to the food was simply outstanding. The food was very sophisticated and tasty at a fraction of a price compared to a restaurant in central London, yet without bring pretentious. The restaurant wasn't busy as I'm guessing they are fairly new. There were no hidden extras or compulsory service, but we felt like leaving a good tip. Highly recommend visiting this gem before it gets overcrowded.

We visited as part of a current Groupon deal - 2 courses, for 2 people, absolute bargain - the food (Mains: Fish & chips, Pesto Salmon with sauteed vegetables, then desserts - Tiramisu, & Pina Colada cheesecake) - was sublime, & the staff were lovely.Cannot recommend this venue highly enough, a 'hidden' gem that deserves to be packed to the rafters.Go visit, you won't be disappointed!! 5 stars.

We ate dinner here a few times, on a recent visit to Hove. Great location that offers a nice view of the sea across the street. Staff are lovely and very helpful.I was surprised how good the food was and it’s great value for money considering the quality of dishes.Regular menu plus specials board offers a good variety of choices. All dishes were well executed and presented including lamb chops,salmon, sole, fish and chips. Deserts were good too. Pear and ginger desert was delicious and tiramisu was a generous size without being too heavy. Don’t eat the coffee bean garish though unless you like bitter coffee taste . Good option without blowing the budget.

Visited this restaurant on a Groupon deal. The menu was extensive and we thoroughly enjoyed our choices. Will definitely make a return visit
