"Want to go somehwere a bit weirder?" (we are middle of the road professional types lol). It was fun and a bit quirky. Had a few pints and shots, friendly, lively crowd. Sad we couldn't stay late as the atmosphere was building nicely. Fun spot!

A regular haunt for my band, we play here whenever we can. Love the vibe and the staff are awesome. The décor is lively and semi Day of the Dead vibe. Love it here. For any bands thinking of playing here, do so, load in is easy, I can always park outside to load and find a spot on the seafront to park at a reasonable rate. Easy in, easy out. There are lots of steps so have a stretch first 🥇

Brilliantly quirky Brighton late bar

The chap with long hair behind the bar is possibly in the wrong job. His people skills are non-existent. He is extremely rude, and his non-verbal communication would give Hannibal Lecter a run for his money. Hospitality isn't his forte. The Paris House is just a little way away where you'll be guaranteed a warm welcome.

Great little hideout. Superb range of beer. Very quirky. Make sure to explore the different rooms, and go again on different days - it's entertaining.

Very nice place, super original decoration very punk and bizarre. Sometimes they have jazz bands. They have Japanese beers and private places at the end also downstairs is like a club and toilets.

Great atmosphere. The drinks quite suck, there's no food available (apart from crisps) but it doesn't matter, you'll soon understand why this is the best pub in Brighton & Hove and possibly of all the UK.

Always been a fabulous little alternative bar. You can easily forget you're on Western Rd. Most excellent choices of beers and ales. Friendly attentive bar staff, the background music was absolutely fabulous. Decor is just bonkers. I love it.

Great little quirky boozer with bands in the basement.

This is such a quirky, interesting pub with many nooks and crannies. It has a great open mic on Wednesday nights, always well attended with many local talents sharing their skills. Drinks are priced as standard for a Brighton/Hove bar so not the cheapest but still... this bar is well worth a visit!

Horrible manager, really rude and unwelcoming

Think the manager with the long hair (Jack) needs to learn how to communicate with people. Kindness goes a long way and to say he works in hospitality, he doesn’t know how to be kind or welcoming to members of the public. To say Brighton is a friendly place they have managed to staff one of the few nasty people that live in the area. Perhaps a people management course is needed, or any kind of training?

A great local alternative bar which is legendary. It has a few tables outside and is quite cavernous inside with various intimate areas on a few levels. The beer selection changes a fair bit and can be quite interesting. A good place to be on any night of the week as always has a good feel to the place. A very good bar and one to visit whenever in the area.

One of my favourite spots for a drink. I love the ambience in here, they have a downstairs area that seems hidden at times that’s a nice place that feels like a bit of an escape. A good selection of drinks, and live music sometimes also. I always enjoy a Fruli strawberry beer here, washed down with a cocktail or two.

The place to go on Monday night to be part of a happy crowd of young and old enjoying a drink, some good music and an excellent vibe. It's busy, quite loud, and helpful/friendly. Please get a ramp!

A dingy labyrinth of dark velvet, Steve Buscemi toilets, fruity beer and altogether oddness. If you want a night out in Twin Peaks go nowhere else...be warned it's the only cashless bar in town...

Cluttered but in a cool designed way, bathrooms are interesting as you can see and hear into the men's urinals which I don't think is rly comfortable for them, and the others you have to contort yourself to not hit your head on the sink but the vibe was lovely.

amazing wonderful place, great drinks, average-good prices, love the art, the vibe and the smell (they always burn incense). its a great place for any sort of vibe, the staff are so friendly and definitely bring the place together! its such a hidden gem :) defo recommend

I used to come here all the time when I lived here, so popped back in for old times sake. The new staff is exceptionally rude and I don't say this lightly, racist. Avoid at all costs. Disgusting treatment

Small snug and very creepy decor (Which I love). Different to your average pub in Brighton but also very enjoyable. Staff were really friendly and took their time to let us try different beers in order to make the right choice.

Quirky bar with saxophone taps! Great selection of beers including bottled Belgians and Delirium on tap. Local and macro also here. Open mic on Wednesday. Some great varied local talent. Staff at the Evening Star recommended and I headed over despite the trip. Worth it. Friendly staff too. Despite being busy very patient while I made a choice.

Quirky bar with laid back atmosphere

Right now, because of the weather the entrance is completely open plan, so you can sail right on through to the quirky bar and be met by friendly bar staff. Depending on why your there? I went to the cellar space to watch my friends play their punk and the David Lynch touch of red velvet wallpaper does not go unnoticed and is very much appreciated. All in all friendly punters, staff, security could come down a peg or two( where not in a war zone) but all in all with everyone engaging respectly, the night goes well, swimmingly well. Highly recommend ✨

Great beer selection but poor for cider or wine. Good vibes and surprisingly good live jazz on the Monday evening we visited. A little expensive, even for Brighton, but I'd definitely go back.

Bees mouth has been decent every time I've visited there. Good priced drinks, good location for me, good atmosphere! Visit this place to see the Steve Buschemi toilet if anything!

Funky, cosy atmospheric pub.....The music is good but not so loud you can't talk. Nice for a meeting with friends or a first date

Cracking bar. Alternative, but all the better for it. Designwise it's uncategorisable, an explosion of art, random stuff, clutter etc but has a definite New Orleans vibe to it. Prices are very decent.

If you're looking for a pub that is like a lover you meet when drunk this is it. Lovely times are always had but if you go in the day don't look in the basement no matter how much honey Keith coaxes you with, he's a naughty little man and should not be... Anyway would recommend, one of the best late night watering holes in Hove and Brighton. 5* from me.

The Bees mouth is a dark, grungy, dank amalgamation of all your favourite dive pubs. It's great, weird, often has live music and always a good time

One of the best bars in Brighton, The team is really relaxed and friendly. The events are sick and the atmosphere and other patrons are really easy going and social. Great place if your new in town

Good rugs. Nice lighting. Friendly staff. Minimal space. Copious trumpets. 9/10 only place where I have sat on the floor to watch music and yet am still keen to go back.

A real find for the anyone visiting Brighton/Hove, down the Church Road. Such a lovely atmosphere, really cool decor, mixing a dive bar with kitsch vibes. Staff and punters alike were friendly and fun-loving. Be ready for copious random pictures of Steve Buscemi adorning the place!

A nice pub with nooks and crannies and a cinema downstairs! Street seating and WiFi. Would have been 5 stars for me but Diet Coke is only available on tap.

The Bee's Mouth is one of the cosiest pubs in Brighton with more character than most. Serving a decent range of beers with the odd addition like Banana Mongozo and often a rotation of other imports too. It's a bit on the small and narrow side but don't count that against it. A bigger group can still find plenty of space in the back room.

Staff got too much attitude. my gin and tonic was flat so i went to the bar and told them about it. One of the guy drank the tonic and said its ok and What the barmaid told me is she just opened the new bottle of tonic water and confirmed that its sure not flat. makes me feel uncomfortable to told them that my drink is not right. So i asked for another one with fevertree tonic and she came taking the full payment and of course my fiance wasnt happy that he has to pay the full amouth of the drink again which is £10+ She insist that the tonic is ok and even showed us a bottle and said that do we want to test it? It makes us very uncomfortable. The way she reacted with the situation was so wrong. i didnt mind pay for another drink but at least showing us some respect and sincerely apologise would be so much better than just told us that she is the supervisor here and knows how to do her job and her tonic is not flat as i said is just not on. We left and said thank you to them but they just completely blanked us. no apologise or sorry or even thank you for paying for drinks from any of the staff whatsoever. Poor service. Very much disappointed. *bring your old team back*

One of my favourite places in brighton. Great selection of bottled beers (especially belgian ones). Very cosy and unique interior with great atmosphere. Cinema room downstairs that you can sometimes just drink in is a nice touch.

Velvet-lit, seductive coven, nice place to get slowly poisoned and set the fairy lights, mannequins and grotesque babies afloat. The basement cavern hosts live eccentrics and experimenters. Water in the desert. But don’t go there - it’s mine now.

ideal for a secret date or an open mic night. Done both here and it has always had that feel for me. Music and romance!

Offbeat and unique addition to the Brighton bar scene. Somewhat cavernous interior with eccentric furnishings and a bar that sells a good variety of drinks. Famous for its toilet with which houses some sort of shrine to Steve Buscemi - go figure.

This pub is unique, great atmosphere, there was good music and a nice layout.
