The Chalet Cafe in Brighton and Hove

La comida estaba bien, el servicio no era demasiado lento teniendo en cuenta, pagado £ 26. 50 por dos sándwiches, papas fritas y 3 bebidas que puedo aceptar en medio de un parque concurrido, pero cuando mi hijo pidió un poco de salsa de tomate a un lado de su sándwich dijeron que cobran extra por la salsa, lo que me hace pensar que son malos para la cantidad que costaría y cuánto cobran!

Este es el servicio más lento en Brighton la chica que sirve NO dirá gracias a nadie y muy antipático. sobreprecio nunca más obtener nada de ellos. ¡Aléjate de este lugar horrible!

Despacio, despacio. Oficialmente el servicio más lento de la ciudad. Masivamente caro también. Una experiencia terrible. No pierdas el tiempo, cruza el parque hasta la rotonda.

El servicio era muy lento - solo una persona en el mostrador tomando los pedidos y una larga espera para comida simple como un sándwich de atún. Tres de nosotros empezamos a hacer cola alrededor de las 1250 , mi recibo muestra que mi pedido fue tomado a las 1300 y me dieron mi bocadillo de atún a las 1315 . Todavía sentado esperando a que mi colega que estaba a mi lado traiga su sándwich y ahora es 1324. Demasiado lento para lo básico - necesitan mirar lo que están haciendo. Nos hizo llegar tarde para volver al trabajo

Pedí un blanco plano y un chocolate caliente. Ambos llegaron tibios y el blanco plano en particular era atroz. Cuando me quejé, la mujer que servía me dijo que fue hecha por alguien que estaba siendo entrenado. Sea como fuere, es vergonzoso que pensaran que estaba bien servirlo en primer lugar.

Qué linda joyita escondida, justo en medio del parque. Maravillosos propietarios que realmente se preocupan por su comida, clientes y personal.

Este lugar es ridículamente caro! Casi £ 4 por un brownie y £ 3. 10 para un croissant seco. Sé que el costo de vida ha subido, pero creo que realmente están tomando la galleta si perdonas el juego de palabras. Ah y me quejé de que apenas podía probar la avellana en mi café con leche y me dijeron que tendrían que cobrarme otros 50 peniques por una inyección! Traeré mi frasco de café la próxima vez cuando mis hijos estén jugando footie. Realmente decepcionante

The queues here are always so long. Despite having a large indoor space, they have kept it closed since Covid, and the customer experience is pretty bad. Everyone in the queue always complaining about how long it takes to get served. They could make so much more of the space but they don’t, and never have enough staff. Very puzzling.

Disappointed at lack of gluten free options for lunch. They had gluten free cakes which was nice to see but lunch options need to be made available. A simple gluten free roll will provide a load of more options 😊

£17 for 2 small takeaway teas and 2 takeaway toasted cheese sandwiches, no salad. Plenty of customers all through lockdown so why the huge prices for locals?

Extremely slow service, waited 20 minutes for a coffee. Also given wrong item than what was ordered. No apologies when finally given. Best to use the other cafe in the park!!

In the current funny old world we live in at the moment (as well as a world overwhelmed with big-chain coffee shops), local community spots like these are really something sacred. The yummiest homebaked treats served by the absolute loveliest people, I couldn't recommend highly enough.

The cakes are to die for, such a lovely choice. All handmade and taste delicious. Lovely friendly staff and the resident dog is a joy to see, well behaved and friendly. Will visit again as they are very well organised with covid regs in place.

What better way to complement a walk in Preston Park than to treat yourself to a drink and homemade cake at the Chalet cafe. Lovely friendly staff, yummy cakes and nothing too much trouble. When I lost my door keys recently I enquired at the cafe (as a last resort) and the staff had taken them in and produced them from behind the counter!! Then I knocked over my tea on a nearby bench and the owner replaced it at no extra charge The cafe is a valuable part of the community.
