Well, bought a small cup of espresso for£2.8 Definitely not worth the price because the size of the cup is really small. The shop owner is friendly, but the price is kind of a scam. If you want to buy it, asking the size of the cup at the first place it’s really recommended.

My iced Mocha was genuinely the best coffee I’ve ever had. Martha who served me was so so chatty, genuinely wanted to hear about my day and wanted to help with my order to give me the best coffee suited to me possible. She was extremely knowledgeable about every product and was so kind. Even with all that the service managed to be super fast and she was multitasking with a huge queue while she was all alone and still managed to provide amazing customer service and a massive gorgeous smile while she was at it. I will definitely be back - this girl needs a pay rise!!

After conducting zoom interview I was invited in for a trial shift for a minimum wage position here. Because I arrived at 7:10 instead of 7:00 the manager, neville, refused to shake my hand and to coduct the trial shift. I've never experienced something so ridiculous in my whole time in hospitality. What an absolute joke and a waste of time. I truly feel sorry for anyone who works there.

Horrific service! I've been a few times and had average service, average coffee, I stopped going for a while after I got food poisioning from their vegan sausage roll. Decided to give it another go, just ordering a coffee and was YELLED at in front of a crowd of people for not having cash, in a train station, in 2023?!!! The (irish?) older man on the till yelled at me several times because I was paying by card. One of the buttons on their card machine was jammed so I couldn't enter my pin and instead of allowing me to use their second card reader or go to the cash machine he caused a scene and I left without my coffee.

Lots of undeserved negative reviews here! I often stop at FCB when travelling or even just passing through the station. The team are always so cheery and friendly at all times of day. They're also pretty quick considering how busy it gets - be specific when you order (ie. dairy milk, oat milk, sugar) and you'll be on your way. It's a godsend for being open so early and later than many coffee shops nearby. Great variety of pastries on offer throughout the day (Real Patisserie if I'm not mistaken), if not a little pricey when you're on the go, but where isn't these days? Coffee quality varies sometimes in terms of temperature, but it's the best quality coffee I've ever had from a railway concession.

Always had good experiences here but just been served at the Kiosk by the rudest girl. I asked for a cappuccino but not too much froth. Some shops call that a “wet cappuccino” Received a lecture that this was called a latte. It’s not otherwise I’d ask for a latte? Doesn’t it occur to her that what she makes may not be exactly the same as another person or place and her customer may just have drunk a thousand of them before? I’m guessing knocking out coffees all day long can’t be fun but giving the customer what they ask for and smiling while you do so might just be the one piece of job satisfaction to be had.

The best flat white I've had in a while. In my experience sometimes circumstances affect (effect or affect, always get it wrong) your appreciation of food and/or drink. A few examples if you may...It's a hot sunny day and you enjoy a cold larger in the garden. You burn a lot of energy climbing a mountain and then enjoy a big dinner after. I feel like today was one of those days. I finished working through the night and boarded my train from Croydon to Lewes setting my alarm so I don't miss my stop. I woke up before my alarm to an announcement that the next stop was in fact Barnham, the destination of the train having changed whilst I was fast asleep. I travel all the way to Barnham to get a train all the way back towards Brighton, literally a complete waste of life. However, the flat white from FCB lifted my spirits. The temperature was quite perfect, the consistency almost creamy. Thank you FCB.

The second time they got my order correct but when I finished my coffee I removed the lid to see an empty plastic straw wrapper inside. The third time, I had a soy latte. There were strange lumps in the bottom of the coffee. Consistently awful. I will not go here again, especially as there are plenty of other businesses near by, serving much better coffee.

Ignorant "Computer says no" moment by staff! I understand why a medium americano is 50p more expensive than a double espresso. It's the same volume of coffee but the cup is likely more costly to buy and Co.es with a plastic lid. But if I bring my own cup, and want a double espresso with a dash of hot water I don't think I should have to pay 50p extra! 50p for what? 50cl of hot water? It's about 50p to heat a letre of water so that's about 1000% mark up! Where's the insensitive to bring a cup and reduce waste? Where's the logic or customer care? It's OK though, thay have two serving hatches so I got my water from the other one.

Grabbed a cappuccino & tea before boarding train to London and whilst the coffee was nice, the woman serving it clearly didn't want to be there! My partner ordered a tea and when enquiring about size she just pointed at the cups stacked against the window and sarcastically said small, medium or large. When I asked for a cappuccino with no chocolate on top she looked at me like cappuccinos never come with chocolate! She then chose not to pass this info on to the maker of my drink so my partner had to shout across to tell him! She asked how many sugars for my cappuccino, (which I actually liked as we had our hands full with bags at the time), however when she attempted to use the sugar bottle couldn't, she then sighed and threw half the sugar in the bin and decided to use a spoon instead - the old fashioned way! Why she felt the need to throw half of the sugar away I don't know! She then put my drink on the counter - without a thank you or a smile - just rude! Next time I will use 1 of the other vendors as there are plenty about!
