The Chakra Lounge in Sheffield

Omg! Saw this when walking back to my hotel. A brilliant fusion between Indian street food and British classics. The food, the taste and the presentation is amazing. I only wish it was closer to me. Anytime I come to Sheffield I will definitely be coming here. And customer service from the staff is great too!

March 2025 – 💫 It’d been a while since I last visited Chakra Lounge in Sheffield, where I had previously enjoyed one of their evening events. More recently, my foodie friend Sophie (@chef_in_sheff) and I visited their Sheffield branch for a weekend breakfast. Why I’d never been for breakfast here before, is beyond me, as it was incredible. With a vast menu of delectable Desi-style breakfast/brunch dishes with an English touch, you’re sure to find something to set off your taste buds with the ancient flavour of India! From a wide range of adventurously flavoured hot and cold drinks to a fully vegetarian & vegan food menu, we were overcome with so many amazing options. We enjoyed; ⭐I went for the Breakfast Waffles with vegan sausages, avo & pea smash, halloumi, fried onion, fennel-nut mix, drizzles with maple syrup. I added a fried egg on top (of course) and the hash browns (🐷). Wow, this was stacked high! It was incredible. I really didn’t need that much food, but I loved it! ⭐Sophie went with the Desi English Breakfast which is completely vegan as a standard with vegan sausages, hash browns, masala chickpeas and smashed avocado & added halloumi and scrambled eggs – this was a massive plateful! A bit too much for one, but it looked fantastic️! ⭐Chakra Masala chai, a hazelnut mocha and the famous iced matcha and rose latte which was subtle but beautiful! ⭐We may have taken some bakes home too for the boys (or us really haha)️ Wow, what a delightful morning. This café is gorgeously decorated to enjoy a tranquil time whilst trying out some of the most delicious Indian-inspired, authentic food and drinks. También he estado en Buxton bastantes veces, pero esta fue mi primera visita al salón de chakras Sheffield. Los menús son muy creativos bien pensados y la comida siempre está muy bien y recién preparada. Mi hijo eligió una comida que desafortunadamente era un poco demasiado picante para su paleta muy tierna. El personal no podría haber sido más servicial y atento y trajo yogur y mango chutney y salsa de tamarindo para tratar de ayudarle a través del calor! Una experiencia encantadora y sin duda volvería a visitar cuando vuelva en Sheffield

Hoy celebramos la comida de Eid con nuestros colegas del equipo de empleo de shaw trust tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa la comida se sirvió con sonrisa 😃 platos increíbles proporcionados para el chef 👩‍🍳 absolutamente encantado 🥰 comida fantástica 🥘 gracias hijo n equipo 😍🥰🙂

Un lugar increíble! Fuimos a Sheffield por un fin de semana con mi novia, y terminamos yendo al Chakra Lounge TRES VECES, dos para el desayuno, una para el almuerzo, no pudimos tener suficiente de ello. Ideal para vegetarianos, y hay una buena selección de platos absolutamente deliciosos, así como bebidas increíbles. No podría recomendarlo más.

Popped in for a cup of tea and a bit to eat. Tea was okay but the Vegan Sausage Roll was absolutely excellent. Definitely worth going back for another in the future (and I'm not even a vegan!) Staff were welcoming and friendly and it has a warm and relaxed atmosphere. What I saw of other people's lunches looked really appealing; will need to plan another visit.

We visited the Chakra Lounge in Sheffield after our tremendous experience at Bakewell. We enjoyed chatting to the proprietor who made us all exceptionally welcome. The Chakra food and service were, once again, outstanding. 5 Stars. From India with love! Wonderful fusion food. Very happy to recommend to others seeking something a little different. Extended thanks to Sunny for his gift of spices. The secret masala recipe is safe with me and adds to my deep rooted love of Indian food.

Fantastic food, a broad range of options on the menu all with fantastic flavour combinations. Drinks are excellent also - smoothies and coffees especially. Hidden gem here, only a few minutes walk from Ponds Forge!

Nice coffee, amazing coffee and friendly staff. We loved their take on breakfast and we will definitely be back again!!

Went for Christmas work meal. Absolutely excellent. Food 10/10, everyone’s tastes accommodated, service fantastic, premises gorgeous. Prices very reasonable. This is my new favourite. Will definitely be visiting again

Absolutamente deliciosa comida y café excepcionalmente bien hecho. Tenía el chai sucio - muy recomendable. También compré un poco de torte de almendra y pistacho para llevar ya que se veía tan delicioso!

El samosa chaat es una explosión de sabores — crujiente, picante y abrasivo. ¡Una delicia salada perfecta! Y el pollo makhani es cremoso, rico y perfectamente condimentado - reconfortante y sabroso en cada bocado!

He estado viniendo aquí por unos años pero hoy fue mi primera vez en un tiempo. El chat de samosa es lo más delicioso de la historia. No demasiado grande, pero lo suficientemente grande para el almuerzo satisfactorio y absolutamente lleno de sabores, colores y texturas. Despierta tus papilas gustativas y pone un rebote en tu paso por el resto del día. Todos los platos son excelentes y preparados con cuidado y estilo. El menú es principalmente vegetariano y platos veganos, pero que siempre son algunos excelentes platos de cordero y pollo también. Me encanta el batido de agua de rosas y cardamomo, pero hoy no lo tenía. El personal es siempre muy amable y hay un montón de espacio abajo cuando el piso de arriba está lleno - es más grande de lo que parece. Chakra Lounge es una de las principales cosas que extraño de trabajar en el centro de la ciudad y definitivamente vale la pena un desvío especial a la Plaza Fitzalan.

Gran servicio al cliente, uno de los mejores sabores indios en Sheffield. El mejor naan de queso con chile que tuve. Chai era muy bueno.

Pedimos el matcha y rose latte, y un chai sucio helado. ambos se hicieron rápidamente y eran hermosos. el latte en concreto, tenía un atractivo visual impecable ya que llegó con pétalos de rosa tanto en la parte superior como alrededor de la taza. Luego pasamos a la comida, que consistía en el Amritsari Masala Maggie y Full Desi Breakfast. El ramen era exquisito, aunque ligeramente soso en partes. Cuando se mezcla con el huevo (del que hay que pagar extra) , cura un sabor delicioso. El caldo tiene un sabor ligeramente a curry - esc, que debe esperarse con el nombre de "masala". Aunque no hacía demasiado calor. Perfecto para alguien a quien no le gusta la especia, pero le encanta el ramen. La única caída de este plato fue la sorpresa de los guisantes, ya que no especifican qué verduras están dentro de él. No soy el mayor fan de ellos, sin embargo, cuando se elige, este plato es realmente agradable. El desayuno desi, que fue pedido por mi pareja, era “muy agradable”. El aguacate fue una agradable sorpresa, para alguien que nunca lo había probado anteriormente. La salchicha vegetariana proporcionada podría compararse con un palito de verduras, que es delicioso para aquellos que disfrutan de las verduras. En general, el servicio y la comida eran excelentes. El personal es muy amable, especialmente el recién llegado al equipo, cuyo nombre es Annabelle. Ella nos recibió con una sonrisa y (cuando estaba desesperado por el baño) sugirió a mi pareja sentarse y esperar para que pudiéramos ordenar juntos. La mayoría de los otros lugares en los que hemos estado en la zona no permiten esto, ya que generalmente tienes que comprar algo antes de que te permitan acceder. Los baños están muy limpios y parecen estar bien mantenidos, con carteles en las paredes para aquellos que olvidan sus teléfonos. Estas son búsqueda de palabras y revueltas de palabras. También hay productos femeninos detrás del inodoro para los necesitados, algo que encontré muy útil en mi visita.

I would highly recommend this amazing please as has delicious food and very nice atmosphere. Awesome staff and good vibe.

I had high hopes of a restaurant that was billed as 'vegetarian friendly' and ordered the chick pea curry with rice, salad and papadums. Rice and curry were great - tasty, nicely spiced. My concerns were with the salad and papadoms. The salad was dry, dry, dry....you can't just open the prepack rocket salad and plonk it on the plate. A couple of slices of orange added some moisture and colour but it could have been better. However, nothing prepared me for the 'popadoms' - little 'toffee-penny' -sized discs, straight out of the crisp packet! Come on! You can do better!

Me and my friends love coming to Chakra Lounge - whether it be for leisure or to do some uni work - the vibe is immaculate. The food is fresh and tasty - the flavours are so vibrant and authentic. Indian flatbreads with chickpea curry and masala chips are my favourite! The selection of drinks are original and varied. The pricing is very fair too, especially compared to other city centre eateries - can't go wrong if you are a student like me! A special thanks to Harvey who is so approachable and accommodating - his kind hospitality is the cherry on top :)

Absolutely amazing. Came here for brunch and had the Breakfast Waffles which are so rich with flavour and just absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. The staff were really friendly too and provided a great service!

Delicious and varied menu, there’s always something new to try. We love that there are so many vegetarian options, and ways to customise your meal.

Been here a few times, food is amazing and so well presented for such a reasonable price. Great selection of drinks too with some really lovely unusual ones! Vibe is so nice and chilled and the staff are all so friendly. Will keep coming back to the chakra lounge! Great spot for breakfast & lunch in the town centre.

My son took me to The Chakra Lounge for an early lunch (brunch?) before my train back to London on Sunday. The food is visually stunning, well seasoned and tastes wonderful. The staff are lovely and friendly. The menu caters to both meat eaters and non meat eaters alike. I'll be dragging my husband here when we next visit in September as I plan to work my way through their delectable menu. An absolute gem.

This place is beautiful, the vegan options are amazing and the dude serving was so so kind and helpful. The rose and cardamom milkshake was delightful.
