When booking we thought we would have a lovely meal and high quality cocktails.. well what a disappointment. We were told at the start that they needed the table back before 8pm which was fine as we arrived around 6/6:30 which is plenty of time for cocktails and some food however, it took about 20 minutes to get our first round of cocktails which came one by one and by the time our food order was taken it was 7 o’clock. It then took 30 minutes to bring another round of drinks and our starters which were nice. At 7:45 we had empty starter plates on the table and knowing that we needed to be out before 8 it was going to be a push. We asked for another round of drinks and was told ‘no’ because the table was needed! This was BEFORE our mains had even arrived! Eventually the mains and next drinks arrived and the food was okay. The steaks were cooked well but had chewy bits through them which isn’t the chefs fault, the chip bowls contained about 6 fries in each in which we returned and received some more. Lastly, we finally had ordered 2 last drinks and one was a margarita.. well it contained no tequila.. which is a main part (especially when the recipient is a bartender himself 😂). We will not be returning

This is a real find in Ross-on-Wye! Cocktails and Platters! A small intimate venue with a great selection of cocktails available, and freshly prepared mixed platters of food to share and enjoy! Add to that a warm welcome and friendly professional service. What’s not to like? Give it a spin! You will not regret it!

I have been here twice now, on 2 very different days and both times have not disappointed. I first went on a Saturday, they managed to squeeze us in and made us aware of when they needed the table back. The atmosphere was very relaxed, great cocktails and friendly staff. I had some hot wings and chips which tasted great along with the cocktails Even though it was a Saturday, we didn't have to wait long. 2nd time I have been is on a Wednesday. Only table in there for a while but it still felt relaxed and we were left to our own devices (it didn't feel like we were being watched-which was nice). We shared the meat platter this time which was perfect to nibble on with drinks. All food was delicious and had lots of flavour! Good music choices, friendly staff, great atmosphere and I can highly recommend the parmaviolet gin cocktail and the best pina colada I have ever had (it is so creamy!) Keep doing what you are doing guys, I will be back and recommending family and friends come to try your menu!

Was visiting Ross-on-wye on the way back from a morning out, found the Cellar Bar and decided to have lunch. We went for the Sunday Lunch platter and it was very nice, would recommend.

Highly recommend the cellar bar. Lovely meal and atmosphere despite covid 19. Cocktails were fab and food was all perfect could not fault. Will defo return!!

Went out as a meal with friends from work. Food was amazing and cocktails even better! Reasonably priced and great atmosphere. Will definitely be visiting again.

We are in Ross on Wye for a long weekend and have already visited this bar twice, for lunch and dinner on Saturday evening. It was excellent both times. Lovely food and atmosphere. My sister said it was the best vegetarian meal she had eaten in a restaurant in a long time. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We popped in for lunch and were really pleased. The food was delicious and the atmpsphere was relaxed and friendly. The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. We'll definitely be going back. Highly recommended.

The food here was fantastic we had dinner on the Saturday night and lunch on the Sunday omg the food was fabulous the staff were so helpful and cheerful which I think that goes a long way, back to the food we thoroughly enjoyed both sittings this is why we went back for Sunday lunch, best food I have had in a very long time. We would definatley go back. I had a few cocktails omg they were lush. We'll done to the barman and the waitresses we will be back x

Food was amazing! Cooked and seasoned amazingly! Couldn’t fault anything, drinks were really good, all at a good price and in town so easy to access. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be returning, highly recommend!!

I’ve been to the Cellar Bar several times now with friends,my partner and family. The food is amazing and so is the atmosphere! The people who run the Cellar Bar are very welcoming and do a great job of making it a classy, enjoyable experience. Highly recommended

Wonderful service and great food. Looked after us very well. A brilliant addition to Ross High Street. Deserves to do well and can't wait to visit again.

Went for a meal to this lovely resturant. The waiters were very attentive and looked after us. The food was absolutely amazing, beautifully presented and tastes delicious. HIGHLY recommend. Will definitely return.

Food was overpriced for average meals. Long wait for cocktails up to 25 minutes so double up when you order to avoid long waits. The reason for 1 star review was the lack of awareness for Covid precautions. Faffing about at the tables trying to...

Good food, well presented, shame about staff asking “is everything ok “ 5 times in just over an hour! Please only ask once or twice at the most....

Amazing food and drinks!! Family friendly with a great atmosphere, definitely a place I will be revisiting. Great staff and management.
