We have stayed and eaten at The Cavendish before and been impressed. They have had a refurbishment since which we liked. We had the tasting menu one night then had 4 friends join us for dinner the other night and the food was excellent. Unfortunately the whole experience was let down by the service which had previously been very good. Some staff were good but most were inattentive, lacking in knowledge and not really interested. I asked the restaurant manager to advise me what white wines were medium dry as one of our guests didn’t like dry wine and he looked at the wine list then said “maybe try a Chablis”. That’s about the worst advice he could have given as that is one of the driest wines. He should have said he didn’t know rather than bluff. At breakfast a waitress cleared my crockery from the first course but left my wife’s. 2 other members of staff came to the table but neither cleared her crockery. It wasn’t busy but they were not looking to see what needed doing. On the second night when we had guests there was a wedding on in the other room and we felt very neglected. After the first round of drinks, which took ages to come, nobody came to ask if we wanted any more. Once we had finished coffee, which we had to ask for, nobody came back to ask if we wanted anything else and there was nobody around to ask for the bill. Luckily I wanted it all charged to my room as I was treating my guests but if we had wanted to split the bill we would have struggled to find someone to do that for us. Finally, while most of the refurbishment was an improvement the chairs in the gallery restaurant were incredibly uncomfortable while the old ones were very comfortable. Maz, who was very helpful and friendly, did get us some comfortable chairs from the private dining room though.

Today is our wedding anniversary we decided to have lunch at Cavendish Hotel. We were seated at our table 35 minutes before our food arrived. Despite giving advance notice that my husband is dairy /gluten free a lot was made of this when we ordered. The Cavendish advertisers that they cater for gluten free diets, his Yorkshire pudding was substituted with half a head of cauliflower minus the cheese sauce. Our anniversary was never mentioned and our desserts (crumble) were cold and the large chunks of apple were almost fully uncooked. In all it was disappointing and had we not laughed about it would have ruined our day. A gluten free diet is not catered for by just omitting food but by substituting the gluten.

Visited specifically for the seafoood and champagne terrace and the seafood platter. Staff were very friendly but service was very slow. Lovely setting but underwhelmed by the platter £90 for a small cold platter for 2 and 2 glasses champagne but disappointed overall in comparison to seafood restaurant. Good children’s menu. Had a cheese board again just ‘ok’ some cheeses didn’t seem fresh. Hope this feedback is taken with an opportunity to improve as it’s a lovely hotel, location and staff but just didn’t really live up to expectations

The linguine with crab and chilli was inedible. Unfortunately three of our party ordered this dish and did not find crab or chilli or flavour in our entree. While the restaurant was generous enough to bring us delicious sourdough to sate our appetites and did not charge us, we felt disappointed in this restaurant where we have had delicious meals prior to the new redecorating. The Cavendish should concentrate on providing food of the quality which matches the decor on which so much money and attention has been taken.

During an afternoon's walking we stopped here for a drink on the terrace. We sat down at a table where a couple was leaving. They explained they were leaving because they had been waiting 20 minutes and their order had still not been taken. We decided to see if we could get better service. After about 10 minutes a waiter took our order. My husband's cold drink arrived fairly quickly, but my tea did not. The waiter said he was going to go and see what had happened to it and returned about 15 minutes later with a pot of tea. I immediately poured a cup, and it was stewed to the point that it was undrinkable. My husband went to the bar to pay and explained that the tea was undrinkable. The response was simply " that will be 13 pounds" . Meanwhile the waiter returned to the table with the bill. I explained that my husband was paying inside and that I had not been able to drink the tea because it was stewed. he said " i just made it" and walked away. Needless to say, we were charged for it despite the cup remaining untouched. I was shocked at the slow service and the atrocious customer service. 13 pounds for one glass of orange juice and lemonade and an undrinkable cup of tea. Don't go here - there are better places to spend your money.

We visited on a very warm and sunny June day for the champagne afternoon tea… On arrival we were shown to a lovely table by the window with a stunning view out over the open countryside, but we asked to move as it was just too warm in the sunshine. It was no problem at all and we simply moved to the other side of the room. The tea was lovely…. Dietary requirements were accommodated without fuss (and we were asked before ordering rather than having to point it out, which was very thoughtful). The food was delicious with really good quality ingredients, nice sandwiches and savouries, fresh warm scones, a selection of pastries and a great choice of teas or coffee…. We were offered extra drinks if needed, and the portions were generous. We both agreed for the quality, service and surroundings it was also good value. The staff were really friendly, professional and accommodating. Only minor downsides were that the dining room is not air-conditioned, (although I’m sure this is not normally an issue) and also we were the only diners there, which meant there was little in the way of ambience. Overall a lovely spot for a nice afternoon tea…. Highly recommended!

This lovely old Derbyshire hotel on the Chatsworth estate has recently reopened after refurbishment. It overlooks the fields in a beautiful location in Baslow, a picture perfect Peak District village and was ideal for our three night spring break. Our room in the Coach House was delightful with a view over open countryside. There is an easy walk across fields to Chatsworth House and the deer park. The elegant hotel restaurant serves delicious food and the staff throughout could not have been more helpful.

I brought a friend for lunch for her 80 th birthday after having a delightful Sunday lunch last year The experience this time was very different We were directed to the lounge for drinks but no one came to take our order Our pork and sirloin were excellent but I couldn’t eat my broccoli because of an unpleasant aftertaste We found the menu very limited and to finish our meal we had one of our coffees cold with no mint or biscotti The extra potatoes were pleasant but very overpriced Altogether disappointing Margaret Ibbotson

The beef rib was lukewarm, plates cold. The dish, on the menu as gravlax, was disappointingly just sliced smoked salmon. Additionally, the halibut was overcooked, leading to a compromised texture, and the accompanying sauce was underwhelming, and lacking depth of flavour. There was also a lack of communication regarding the salmon's removal from our bill.

WE HAVE BEEN TO THE CAVENDISH MANY TIMES FOR COFFEE AND MEALS IN THE GARDEN ROOM WHICH HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY GOOD. MY HUSBAND BOOKED THE GALLERY RESTAURANT FOR SUNDAY LUNCH WITH OUR SON AND HIS WIFE AS IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY. IT WAS A DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE . WE WERE SHOWN INTO AN EMPTY DINING ROOM AND THEN WE WERE KEPT WAITING FOR OUR STARTERS FOR ABOUT 15 mins. WE HAD ORDERED WINE WHICH ARRIVED IN AN ICE BUCKET WITH NO OFFER OF TASTING OR POURING . IT FELL WAY BELOW OUR EXPECTATIONS . THE LUNCH WAS JUST OK .

A friend had treated me to lunch in the new Garden Room at the Cavendish. It is a very pleasant, prettily decorated space with windows to three sides and views over the countryside. My friend, a regular customer, had asked for a window table but we were seated by the door with no apologies. On the menu I was first attracted by the lamb until I realised it was belly and I didn't fancy such a high fat dish. Other options were steaks and whole bream which seemed a bit much for lunch. At the other end of the scale, £17 for 'garden' carrots! However well they were prepared and cooked I could have my own home grown veg for a few pence. We both ordered the fish and chips but I have had much better on the seafront at Morecombe Bay. The proportion of fish to batter was low, with the batter being a little hard. A tiny bowlful of pea puree was thin and watery, but at least the chips were good and chunky. Desserts were an improvement, especially the creme brulee , and a welcome tray of tea was taken in the comfortable lounge to escape the pestering wasps.

We have been to The Cavendish before and the food was absolutely amazing. And I mean Michelin start perfection. Because of this my husband booked us a table for my birthday for Sunday lunch. We were so disappointed. We were shown to our table 20 minutes after our booking time and that’s because we had to ask what was happening. It then took 40 minutes for our starters to come out, which were ok. But the Sunday dinner itself for the price and knowing how good the food has been was so disappointing. It was just a Sunday dinner. Boiled broccoli and boiled cabbage. Boiled carrots and roast potatoes. The “jus” was just gravy. No real flavour at all. To be honest we’ve had better and more flavour in a pub down the road. Such a shame as it was meant to be something special

Attention to detail makes all the difference and sadly The Cavendish food frequently finds itself lacking. We ate in the Garden Room which is lovely. We ordered two main courses: Superfood Salad with nuts and seeds (only there were no nuts nor seeds on the dish) and the Fish of the Day which was a lemon sole with new potatoes and a watercress 'salad'. The fish was very nice (on the bone as I like it) but the watercress was at best a garnish ie very very little of it and it was the micro watercress, which was fine had there been enough of it to constitute a 'salad'! Add to that that it was yellow. I sent it back and an even smaller garnish appeared after some time. They had clearly picked out a few greenish leaves from the residue and the waitress confirmed that they had thrown the rest of the micro-watercress away in the kitchen because it was past its sell-by. But it should never have been served in the first instance and it certainly should be renamed as a 'garnish'. The dish was totally unbalanced: it was protein (fish) and carbs (potatoes) , no green veg and certainly not a 'salad'. When we pointed out that the Superfood salad was missing two key ingredients, the waitress returned with a half ramekin of a mush of seeds. It was difficult to see if there were any nuts in there but if there were, they had been whizzed to a grain. The worst thing was, it was sweet!!!! It was as if it had been prepped to go alongside the muesli at breakfast! We love the place but the food generally lets it down. What a shame.

Being local we have driven past The Cavendish Hotel a thousand times and never been in. We were lucky to be given vouchers by the hotel for Champagne Afternoon Tea for two. What a treat. It was super duper. The setting is fantastic but what stands out is the service. This is second to none without being remotely stiff or invasive. Very casual and yet very efficient. Every member of staff excelled. The tea itself was grand. There was more than enough for us both, we even took some home, and I am not a shy eater ! We will certainly return for Sunday lunch one day, this looked to be excellent as it was served to those around us

We arrived early for Sunday lunch in the Cavendish Hotel’s Gallery restaurant and first enjoyed a drink in the sunshine on the re-vamped terrace, outside the new Garden Room conservatory. There cannot be many better country views than sitting on that terrace, looking out toward Chatsworth House. Much thought and no doubt money, has gone into creating this beautiful new addition to the hotel’s many facilities. There was a limited (but excellent) choice of starters, main courses and puddings in the Gallery restaurant. You can order lunch as either two or three courses. We enjoyed the lamb and roast beef as our ‘mains’ - both were cooked as requested and came with sufficient fresh garden vegetables. There is a wide choice of wines, with several available by the glass and at many different price points. The dishes available in the new Garden Room restaurant obviously come from the same kitchen but are available as individual courses and not part of a ‘set menu’. It was clearly a popular dining venue. Both restaurants, as well as the outside terrace and lovely grounds add greatly to the attraction of the Hotel.

It's probably one of the better restaurants in the area, but it was good but not amazing. My chief complaint is that often the staff could be inattentive because they were always setting up for the next meal. If you were at breakfast, as soon as someone got up the table was cleared and set up immediately - while diners still eating were neglected. Same happened at dinner where they are setting up for breakfast while you're still on your main course! I get wanting to be efficient, but it seemed like the set up took precedence.

We booked to stay at the Cavendish Hotel as we were visiting the Christmas Market at nearby Chatsworth. What can I say? Our stay was superb. The staff were very welcoming even though we looked like drowned rats having been caught in heavy rain earlier at the market. Check-in time was technically 4pm but we arrived at 2.30 with the intention of sitting in the lounge having tea. However, the room was ready so we checked-in early. We were staying in the coach-house, separate to the main house and our room was lovely. The only criticism I would have is that the wardrobe unit was not in keeping with the rest of the antique furniture. Having stayed at a Devonshire owned hotel previously we know that the Duchess is keen to furnish the rooms in a luxurious antique style and the wardrobe just didn't sit well, and in a pale blue colour! The Brougham room is on the ground floor and is clearly set up for disabled visitors. There is even a peephole in the door at wheelchair height together with the necessary handrails in the bathroom. The shower was of the walk-in wet room style. In the evening we ate in the Gallery Restaurant in the main hotel. The food is absolutely 5* and the quality superb. We could not fault it in any way and the service from the waiting staff was exceptional. Breakfast in the morning, again in the Gallery Restaurant, could not be faulted and the Cavendish 'full english' lived up to all expectations. Given the early time the staff were on form and lovely to chat to. We thoroughly recommend a stay at the Cavendish and hope to return soon!

Firstly, reading some of the previous reviews on here I wondered if I was on the correct hotel as they are polar opposites to the experience we had here. Stayed one night and booked very last minute so could only get a standard room. Although classed as expensive (£250 per night) the room was beautiful. Well appointed, plugs where they needed to be, good lighting, quality bed linen, spotless bathroom and quiet, overlooking the beautiful countryside. Nice extras such as a fridge with fresh milk and a pack of delicious biscuits. We had a pre dinner drink in the bar area, the barman was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was elegant and high end. Our orders for dinner were taken by a staff member called Gerry who was charm itself. Professional but friendly, he is a credit to the hotel. We opted for the tasting menu, each course was delicious and the amuse bouchée of cauliflower veloute and crab and chicken liver parfait was a great start to the evening. The waiting staff were attentive without being overly so. Yes, portions were small, but this is high end cuisine. And we were both completely full by the end of the meal. A great nights sleep followed by an equally impressive breakfast and sadly it was time for us to leave and we had to check out. One of the best 24 hours I’ve had in a hotel in the U.K. Cannot wait to return.

If like me you drive the M1 regularly and see Chatsworth from the motorway, make a promise to yourself. Visit the Cavendish Hotel and at least eat there either before or after your visit to Chatsworth. The meal prepared by the remarkably young Head Chef, Adam Harper, at the Cavendish Hotel’s restaurant in Baslow, Derbyshire, was the finest meal I’ve had this year, including several memorable meals in some favourite top venues in France. I was astonished!I’m setting out the individual dishes I sampled each of which was a quiet perfection in itself.• The chef’s snacks were, smoked salmon and horseradish terrine on a truffle cracker, truffle cheese dog, sweetcorn velouté with chorizo oil and basil• The bread was a sour dough made with our home starter served with marmite butter and salted butter • Sea bream with a satay sauce, coconut yogurt, chilli sauce, peppered mango, spiced fennel, coriander cress• Dorset crab which is rolled in a bloody mary jelly, pickled cucumber and cucumber ketchup, lime sorbet, fresh horseradish, sour dough crouton.• Beef fillet main, seared foie goose liver, pesto puree, baby violet artichokes, radicchio, spinach, red wine sauce, served on the side a cheesy mashed potato.• Apple tart tatin with sour apple caramel and a brown butter ice cream.• Chocolate cylinder, filled with chocolate mousse and a beetroot puree middle, blackcurrant sorbet• Salt caramel macaroon.• Champagne was Laurent Perrier brut, red wine, Merlot Bainskloof estate, also, we had a Côtes de Provence rosé. The Head Chef is Adam Harper, only 27years old, who has been at the Cavendish for about a year. I believe he entered the Roux scholarship final last year, but, surprisingly he didn’t win. I’ll be routing for him this year. One subtle touch astounded me, Normally I do not like foie gras, however, the goose liver, was a seared slice that melted in the mouth adding a totally new dimension to a beautifully prepared medium rare, beef fillet. Two courses were £45, a taster menu of several dishes was £60. I wish Michel Roux could have tasted the desserts. I was fortunate enough to live in Bray on Thames exactly half way between Michel Roux’s Waterside and the Fat Duck. Value for money I’d choose the Cavendish restaurant any day of the week and especially at weekends. Gourmet’s should make a detour to try this food.Breakfast was also great, subtle smoked haddock with poached eggs, together with a chive oil dressing, just wonderful. Their sough dough bread was so good I actually preferred it to my own home baked spelt flour and rye, so, I bought some in the Chatsworth farm shop, also well worth a visit. This farm shop is outside the grounds of Chatsworth House, so it can be visited without having to pay, to enter Chatsworth. The Cavendish hotel is comfortable in every sense. The service is always there, unobtrusively, but thoughtful and effective, which is so rare these days. If you travel the M1 regularly and feel like an indulgent stop, do visit the restaurant. I’m sure you will feel it was worth while.Peter Woolsey MBA InseadPositive Concepts OU, Estonia

Visited here for my birthday meal. The grounds and hotel are beautiful and the food was lovely and well presented; however portion sizes were small. I did not want the mashed potato which my meal came with, so I was told I could instead have dauphinois potatoes. When the meal came, I had only one small potato hidden under my meat, which was disappointing.

I don't know if I put into words, how amazing the food is in this Hotel. Visited twice and the second time was as perfect as the first. How someone could create these dishes to taste as good as they do is beyond me. Only one word for every plate I was presented with, both visually and for taste, Heavenly. The service is old school at it's best. The staff are professional, polite and friendly.

From the moment we viewed the hotel as a potential place to stay on the evening of our wedding, to checking out the day after our wedding as man and wife, we felt like we were at home. The hotel staff were always so helpful, friendly and even arranged 2 bouquets of flowers at less then 12 hours notice for us.

Last time we had a Sunday Lunch which was fantastic but this time our evening meal was not quite there. As usual the staff were excellent and the service is impeccable. Our starters were fine but we both had the estate lamb and whilst the flavour of the dish was very nice indeed, the lamb was a bit chewy which was disappointing. I did mention it to the waiter but had no feedback thereafter which again was a little disappointing.

Outstanding hotel on the edge of The Chatsworth Estate. Our room had a lovely view out over the fields of the Chatsworth Estate. Chatsworth House itself is only a mike away and it’s possible to walk across the fields from the hotel to the stately home & gardens.

The staff, service, quality and choice of food, ambience and overall experience of dining in the restaurant here is superb. You are always greeted in a friendly manner at reception, offered drinks in the bar and then given menus to choose your food while enjoying a drink. Every dish that we have ordered - starter, main or dessert - has been fantastic. This is fine dining. It is not the place to go for massive portions of food, but you do get exceptional food quality and taste.I am pleased that they have enforced the dress code when required, so that their high standards are consistent.

A poor excuse for afternoon tea, with a high ticket price. Plates brought to the table for us were stuck together with old food, once replaced there were no waiting staff to change them again between the savoury sandwiches and the sweet products - we had to dig out some staff to assist. The initial waiter involved, who was scruffily dressed for such a supposedly high standard restaurant, simply disappeared. The sandwiches were really very good, but the scones were extremely small- four small pieces of sultana or raisin do not turn a plain scone into a fruit scone - and I do not believe the scones should be dusted in icing sugar either. Jam and clotted cream very nice, but the "Sweets" were all about 95% sugar & boringly tasteless. Complaints were of course made at the time, and the bill was reduced by 50%, but I would hate for other customers to be treated to such a dire experience when this should have been extremely pleasurable. Such a shame because the hotel itself is a delight, and the other staff have all been excellent. If you were to consider having this afternoon tea on basis of the excellent looking offering on the hotel web site, you would be very disappointed indeed.

After a particularly successful morning we decided to visit for afternoon tea. We were greeted be the friendly staff on reception( we booked to ensure a table) and were shown to our seats. There are a wide range of teas and coffees on offer, we opted for breakfast tea. It was very good tea too. Our afternoon tea comprised a range of sandwiches, ham, egg, cheese and salmon. All delicious. Scones, jam and cream followed. The scones were perfect! Light with a nice crunchy outside. The homemade jam was delicious! Topped with a generous dollop of cream. Plentiful tea interspersed the courses. The dessert included a wonderful Mille fiuelle with pistachio and raspberry, a salted caramel cake, an orange and chocolate macron and a chocolate ganache on a biscuit. After which we both were very full.! The atmosphere is perfect, relaxed and stylish with friendly attentive staff who made sure everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

We eat lunch at the Gallery restaurant between Christmas and New Year and it has been a long time since we were last there. We were completely knocked out by the quality and innovation of cooking. Wonderful flavours imparted to every element of the starters and main courses which spurred us on to try the desserts which we normally don't have . However the desserts were mildly disappointing but only in comparison to the rest of the food. Charming and attentive highly professional staff, elegant and civilised atmosphere. Superbly comprehensive wine list. Not cheap but some things in life are worth the extra.

Spent Christmas at the Cavendish - this was the second year running - so we're happy returning customers. What struck me before was that Christmas Lunch was glorious - not the often experienced thrown-together offering by stressed-out chefs and staff. But this year - wow! Christmas Eve I was tempted by a highly imaginative vegetarian dish of cauliflower and almonds. Spicing was superb, hot but didn't drown out the herbs - a masterpiece of taste and textures. Christmas lunch tempted this omnivore towards the veggie option once more and was thrilled with the parmesan gnocchi - how can you get so much flavour into a potato dumpling?! Husband was equally pleased with his more traditional Christmas meal which was beautifully presented. Service as usual was fantastic, staff are charming and work well as a team. Adam, the new chef is definitely taking the Gallery Restaurant to new heights.

We have dined at the Cavendish on many occasions and always had a lovely meal. At our recent visit my husband and I ordered a christmas lunch...the turkey had a strange texture so we had to return it. The replacement was fine but it meant that our other dinner companions had already eaten theirs. It was embarrassing as we were being treated by my sister in law. We had read that there was a new chef so we're looking forward to a treat......

Had lunch on Thursday 29th November. Superb service, great food and wine but not cheap. It may seem a small point but the waiting staff were all attired in very smart check jackets and waistcoats. Unfortunately, every one of them was badly stained and it didn’t seem to sit well with the quality of the restaurant. Time for a change I suggest. Otherwise excellent!

We stayed one night at The Cavendish after visiting Chatsworth House/Christmas Market. As expected, the location was really pretty and the hotel was superb. The reception, bar and restaurant were all very welcoming with roaring open fires. The staff and the standard of service were exceptional and the room went far beyond our expectations. The food was excellent too. We couldn't find fault at all and enjoyed every second of our stay. We will certainly return and hopefully for a longer stay.

............... when its half a tart. Had lunch in the Garden Room - nice surroundings, lovely view, very friendly and efficient staff. First course fine but it went downhill a bit when it came to dessert. Ordered Bakewell tart (£7) - was served half a Bakewell tart. I don't think I've ever been served half a tart before - if it was the last one (two of us ordered it) then that should have been brought to our attention. As we were having a nice time I didn't raise it with the staff not wanting to spoil our day out but next time I will check whether it is actually a Bakewell tart .......... or half a Bakewell tart!!

Both quality and quantity of our afternoon tea were very poor. The so-called ‘ sandwiches ‘ weren’t - they were just rounds of bread with toppings. Many of the desserts were just slices of cake - and the stands held sufficient food for just one person- but they expected you to share one between two!! Most other hotels we have been afternoon tea provide boxes to bring home the uneaten cakes, pastries and sandwiches. No wonder the Cavendish don't - there’s not even enough food to eat there!! As for the tea- well I think it should be one pot for each person- not the one pot between two!! Apart from the food the setting of the Cavendish Gallery Restaurant is stunning. Our views from the window out towards Chatsworth were superb- as were the staff and the service we received. Such a pity the tea provided fell so short of our expectations.

Had a couple of breakfasts and dinners here recently and found everything to be excellent. Atmosphere and service were top notch throughout our stay, and on the comestible front, I thought the highlight was the starter of lobster pannacotta, a fabulous dish, with the breakfast sausages running that a close second. Do visit if you are in the vicinity!

We have just returned from another visit to the cavendish in baslow. The hotel has a wonderful setting, you can walk through the gate and into Chatsworth park, Chatsworth House is an easy strole away, lovely to do to work up an appetite for dinner. We had a delicious dinner in the gallery restaurant last night and a good breakfast this morning. Staff are friendly and welcoming, lots of antiques and paintings add to the country home/hotel vibe. Rooms are comfortable with great views, my only gripe would be the lack of shower cap/cotton wool etc in the bathrooms, seems very mean and stingy for a luxury hotel, only one minute bar of soap and they have gone back to providing large toiletries (shampoo etc) presumably to stop customers taking the small ones! The magazines in our room were very tatty and circa November 2017, apart from these small niggles, we have enjoyed our visit and will definitely return, remembering to take our own bathroom supplies and shower cap!

Charming Cafe it is. The coffee is very good. The photos of table laid with cutlery and napkins and lovely decor enticed us drive out to Monsal Head where we know the views are wonderful to have a light lunch. BUT We sat at a table and although the place was empty ( very rainy outside ) the staff didn’t acknowledge us, say hello even or explain it is counter service only. If you are expecting food, think again. No meals, No sandwiches, No baked potatoes or anything substantial, just a few cakes, savoury pies and sausage rolls Most disappointing. Wasted journey. WILL NOT VISIT AGAIN. Hassop Station nearby saved the day fortunately.

Lovely cafe in Matlock. There was an excellent selection of vegan options, and the food was delicious. Very well priced for the area, we managed to get a seat outside which added to the experience. The service was also amazing, especially the two teenage girls that were on shift. Will definitely be returning when we return to Matlock. Thank you!

We recently stayed locally for two nights and ate at the Miner’s Arms both nights. Nic was so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious on the first night but on bonfire night, we ordered the greedy Greek platter on Nic’s recommendation and it was excellent! Delicious food, really dog friendly and very welcoming. We’ll be back!
