Ones of the nicest pubs around Marylebone love the environment and the staff are great!

Worst Sunday roast I have had in a long time: Two measly sliced of meat, tough and full of gristle, accompanied by one little carrot and roasted potatoes that were hard as cardboard as a result of being reheated one time too many.

Great vibe and atmosphere. Thought it was a regular pub so went to the bar for a beer and staff flocked to me to take my order. Received the beer and got charged service charge. Was confused why draft beer was almost £9 would be good to make that a bit clearer in future. Lovely place though

We only had drinks outside so can't comment on the food. Nice staff good toilets but the ladies knickers on the floor was a tad off putting!

Went for Sunday lunch roast. We ordered the "12 hour slow cooked lamb leg" which turned out to be a raw pile of inedible gristle. It was truly disgusting and we immediately sent it back. We then ordered a plate of cheese and ham which had to suffice for our Sunday roast. Would not go there again. The service was barely adequate but the bottle of wine was good. All in all not a good experience and would definitely not recommend.

Nice bright airy place quieter early morning. Good quality coffee nice carrot cake, reasonable prices. Staff efficient friendly.would go again.

Nice place for a drink, outside tables particularly in the sun are limited but an easy place to watch the world go by for a couple of hours.

Brilliant atmosphere, I love the music and vibes here! Anna was my server, absolutely brilliant, amazing and gave me great recommendations on what food to get! Furney and James were spectacular, made a banging Hugo Spritz (my go-to drink) they also suggested to try the Aloe Vera Spritz, from sip to finish it was unmatched!! 5 stars is not enough to explain how fantastic my visit was!! Definitely gonna return again!!

One of the best food experiences, not just for us but also for our dog. He loved all the attention and the dedicated dog menu. Totally recommend.

Terrible service. Took forever to get our orders taken. Took forever to get the check. The place wasn’t even at 50% capacity. The people working here don’t make you feel welcomed. The table near us walked out after 10 minutes because no one tended to them, and the winner behind the bar ran her mouth as if the people were being unjust or something. I had one pint but would have had at least three had the waitress just checked in on us occasionally.

It's a nice pub, went with a couple of friends and the beer and the service are good. But, if you're hungry don't order the charcuterie boards they're 32 pounds a piece so naturally we thought they'd be much more generous and even ordered 2. Disappointed with what came out 2 tiny pieces of focacia, a really bland mozzarella, and a few slices of cured meats and a small cup of olives. We were all still hungry and ended up going to honest burger after a few more beers

Good with a British pub atmosphere. We each drank a pint of IPA and ordered a plate of chips, and the bill was 23 pounds (4,600 yen) including tip. Of course you can use your credit card.

Popped by for a drink and snack without a reservation - we were warmly welcomed. The sashimi taco was curious and really delicious! Wine was good and service from Furney was super professional and kind. Thanks! Will be back.

These guys are so much fun. We came in for drinks with the girls. They're cocktails are beautiful and very tasty. Their shots, or baby shots so just factoring two shots per person if that's what you're doing.

Great place to sit outside on a sunny day

Bank holiday Monday and some badly trained staff. Wine ordered at £45 then saw it was a different bottle which had been substituted without letting us know. Burger overcooked , starters delayed. Acting manger tried to put things right but too many issues and clearly no trading for staff

Said we would like to sit outside so told to grab a table and someone would be out to get our order. Waited for nearly 10 minutes and nobody showed up. This despite bar being near empty. Left without even having been given a menu.

Had an exceptional yet exciting experience at the cavendish. Furney’s inciteful knowledge of aperol based cocktails really opened my eyes to the possibilities in which this spirit can achieve. Service was fun yet concise, Alessia our server really showed a mixture of humour and professionalism to make our evening memorable.

I've had the pleasure of being served by James at The Cavendish on several occasions, and each time has been nothing short of exceptional. His professionalism and friendly demeanor truly enhance the atmosphere of the pub. From his attentiveness to his knowledge of the menu, he had made an out-of-towner feel right at home. Great vibe. I wish I had taken pics of the food and cocktails! They were superb.

We went here for dinner and absolutely loved it. Food was amazing, staff (including Karolina) were wonderful and the cocktails were so tasty (try the Lemon Drizzle). We'll be back!

Unplanned visit walking around London. Friendly service and dog friendly - they have a special dog menu. However I don't know how they could call this dessert a white chocolate mousse. It didn't have any resemblance to a mousse and was quite weird in both texture and taste. Not what I was expecting (looks more like a kids dessert) and for £8 felt incredibly ripped off.

Fantastic place! The pints are cold and the croquettes are to die for! 100% coming back again, and again, and again jus for Karolina!!!

This place is incredible! I came in when it was busy but Anna still managed to find me a table and all of my drinks came so fast, she was really attentive and welcoming! Will definitely be back.

Very friendly team, so 5 stars for the friendly team working here. However I found drinks of an average quality yet too overpriced! In average we paid about £12 per drink (beers and red wine) which is almost double the average price in other pubs in the area.

I had such a great time here. Service was great and there were no disappointments. Mya in particular, was absolutely amazing! Such a lovely girly and really made my experience. Will definitely be coming back.

Had a great time at The Cavendish, came round on a Sunday so got the opportunity to try the Sunday roast which was delicious. This paired with the amazing service I received from Mya and Kacper made for a delightful lunch. Will definitely be back.

Had such a good Sunday roast here! With all the extra luxury bits included like bread sauce, yorkshire puddings and celeriac parsley puree. Served by San and Karolina who were so great, thanks!

Popped in for Sunday Lunch. Great venue - great staff - great selection of drinks. The Sunday roast was great BUT the beef was so fatty and stringy we just couldn’t eat it. Shame as the potatoes/veg/yorkshire etc were top quality. Shame they never checked the meat before leaving the kitchen. Worth a visit but don’t have the beef.

Lovely venue and bar staff but there was an incredibly rude server/manager that tried to charge my friend twice and raised his voice at me when I was trying to help explain which person took the first payment. Really shocking

Nice place ,we wanted to eat here and dropped in on the off chance on a visit to Marleybone at Christmas we couldn’t get a table so opted for a drink which we took outside which is heated and was comfortable, just take lots of money you will need it here .

Absolutely shocking staff - so rude and sarcastic! We essentially paid service charge to be made to feel like we were in their way (we were sat at a table that was placed that way!!!! Rearrange your bar if sitting down there is ‘in the way’). Both the main girl and guy working there had permanent rolled eyes - get a new job if you hate it so much

Came by for some drinks. The beer list is pretty basic. They have some good wine lists as well. No food this night, but service was fine. The staff was somewhat confused with the wine list.

🚇Bond Street 🍺 £8.44 Kirin Lager ❤️ A stylish Marylebone Gastro. The Cavendish is located in the heart of Marylebone, just off Marylebone High Street. The nearest Tube station is Bond Street which takes around a ten minute walk, Baker Street Tube is also close by. Formerly The Duke of York, this pub has existed from the mid 18th century, the current building dates from the late 19th century. The pub closed for a period of time and reopened as The Cavendish in 2014. The decor is stylish and contemporary at this cosy one bar Gastro. The stainless steel topped servery is a good size and is sited by the windows on the left hand side. The walls are a mix of exposed brickwork and cobalt blue panelling which adds a punch of colour.. Adorning the walls are numerous black and white pictures and photos of one of my musical heroes, David Bowie. The seating is a combination of stools around small circular posers plus a few comfy high-backed banquettes. Upstairs is an additional room that has a cocktail bar feel. The beer line up was a bit of a mystery as none of the ten taps are labelled. There were two lagers to choose from, Kirin from Japan or Harbour a Cornish brew, I decided to head east for the Kirin. This was my first try of Kirin and I have to say my pint was excellent, but at £8.44 I was a bit shocked, this is the most I’ve paid for a pint in London. There is an A La Carte menu available which has an additional selection of small plates and burgers. I didn’t eat on my visit here but the reviews I’ve read are complimentary and positive. I arrived mid-afternoon on Bank Holiday Monday back in early May. There were three other groups of punters in attendance and the atmosphere was calm and relaxed. The was a soothing soundtrack of downtempo tunes which complemented the ambiance. The service here was superb, the staff were welcoming and super friendly which made my time here enjoyable. The @35newcavendish will definitely appeal to high end punters seeking out a classy Gastro with great service. We hosted a private party here and everything was excellent. We did it in the private lounge room. The food was great, the service was really good and the ambience and look of the room was so nice with dim lighting and a good soundtrack. Would definitely come again! Also, we had to move the date of this event due to the host having covid and the management were very understanding and accommodating. Really great experience!

Great place for great drinks in Marylebone area of London. We visited this place twice during our visit and fully enjoyed it; they serve great drinks with friendly staff and excellent service.

The worst customer service ever experienced in a restaurant in Central London! We booked a table weeks in advance. When we arrived ( on time) we found that our table was not available. Indeed our table was still used by a group of people who have been seated prior to our arrival, and were still having drinks. It took 10 minutes for the hostess to even acknowledge us. After 15/20 minutes wait, it was clear that there was no intention for the restaurant staff/management to assign our table to us, despite our reservation. When we confronted the waitress about this, we were told that she would not ask the other punters to leave our table as ‘people want to take their time finishing their drinks’ After a further 15 minute wait, we decided to leave. It is not clear why this establishment takes reservations at all, when they don’t like to ‘reserve’ their tables ,nor take customers’ bookings seriously. There was no apology from the staff , and a total disregard for our time ( and our booking which we made weeks in advance). Shocking customer service too.

Rolled by this pub on a pub crawl with a mate, we tried a few places to eat but had no luck. Great for us! Really nice staff, atmosphere and no sports or too loud music, everything was just right. We both had burgers with truffle fries which we agreed was super nice, the fries were absolutely delicious. And I have had far more expensive burgers than these. Top marks, will be back.

amazing however they had a typing error on the menu.. so had to settle for sweet potato fries in the end.. but service and everything was amazing.. sitting outside isn't bad.. if you have a nice padded coat 😏

We were here last night for dinner. Our server was very friendly, food was delicious (though a tad pricey for what it was), cocktails were good (but also a bit pricey and lacked description in the menu). The only problem was that the music was really loud, almost like club type loud, and it was 6:45pm. It made it tough for us to have the “family dinner” we wanted and hold a conversation between the 6 of us. The man that greeted us at the door was friendly, responsive, and welcoming which was a great first impression. We would return if the music could be adjusted. We did ask for it to be adjusted but were told it was not possible.

We booked The Cavendish for a Sunday evening dinner, based on their website menu and reviews. Sadly they were only offering bar food "because they didn't have a chef". They could not explain why they take bookings if they know that they cannot fulfil them. We left, and had the impression that this was what they'd expected us to do!

We had a lovely evening out, ending in a trip to the Cavendish. I’ve been there often and this is my first time, or I’ve been appalled. The attitude of the female manager, it’s just disgusting. For no reason, she was rude, condescending and unfriendly. To give the rest of the staff their credit. They tried to amend the situation by buying myself and my partner drinks. That helped. But it shouldn’t have come to this. My partner was quite upset. There was no need for this. I will probably come to the Cavendish again But if I see this lady, I will turn round and walk out

Best pub in London! Amazing establishment with great interiors, wonderful cocktail bar upstairs and a great selection of food and drinks. The cheeseburger is amazing and they have Kirin on tap. Karolina and the rest of the team are so accommodating. Never met anyone that pours a better pint than Mike. Anna and Vicki are so attentive and San always makes sure that you never have an empty glass. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

An amazing experience! I'll make this my go-to place in London and gladly recommend it to others. The complimentary upgrade to a connected room was a pleasant surprise. The location is fantastic, with all of London within walking distance, and it's in a very safe neighborhood. The cleanliness is decent, but occasionally, there's an unpleasant smell after the room is serviced. Also, the room appears smaller than in the images.

I wasn't expecting much just looked like a nice pub from the outside to have some food and a few drinks. However the bar staff, I think Serena and Mike, were awesome and made the afternoon way more fun than it would have been without them. Will go back next time I'm in the area for sure.

Nous sommes venus comme souvent pour prendre un verre au départ. Nous avons souhaité manger mais avant de pouvoir demander les cartes nous nous sommes faits sortir de la table, prétextant qu'elle était réservée. Simplement nous étions en train de discuter et deux serveuses passaient sans arrêt pour nous inciter à consommer de façon très désagréable . Bref nous ne sommes pas restés manger , elles ont mis un écriteau réservé et les personnes qui sont venus à notre place nous ont confirmé qu'elles étaient à l'intérieur et n'avaient pas réservé dehors mais ont accepté d'y aller afin de fumer. Pratique ridicule que nous sommes allés signaler au patron.

Guys, stop serving the same lot of Creamed Potato day after day, aren't you suppose to make it fresh every day? Grass-fed Beef Tartare is a joke, lowest grade of beef is used, full of inedible gristle. Mains, which are precooked and require heating up, are served hardly warm, which is frustrating as one would expect a hearty meal especially in pre-Christmas season. I like the atmosphere of the Cavendish, interior and the jolly staff. I usually visit this pub to meet up with friends but would prefer to refrain myself from ordering food as it only cause disappointment and financial regret.

What a lovely place and what exceptional staff. We arrived for brunch at 11 and our table was all ready, the food options were great and the manager had checked with the chef what was available or what could be changed/modified for vegetarians or vegans. Could not have been more helpful. We didn't feel rushed, the staff checked on us without being overbearing and they were super friendly and chatty. Look forward to visiting again. We both had pancakes and they we exceptional. Thanks so much.

Been here a few times but it’s definitely moved up a notch, heard there was a new chef, definitely tastes like there is. Seriously good food, wine list and service. Dog friendly too so what’s not to love?

Ayer fui al Cavendish por primera vez en la calle desde que me retiré del trabajo. Ambos pedimos del menú de brunch y nos encantó la comida que nos sirvieron. El pub se adhirió a las restricciones de covid y todavía tenía un buen ambiente. Volveremos de nuevo para probar el menú de la noche.

Nice food but feels like pub doesn’t know what it wants to be. It’s a pub that you’d pop to for post work drinks with an expensive fine dining menu. It has a great gin selection but everything’s served with standard tonic and lime which is a bit basic. Nice food but trying too hard for the venue

Vengo aquí desde hace casi 3 años. He visto tantos cambios, siempre buena gente y profesional. Después del bloqueo, la administración se ha cambiado nuevamente. Una vez más. el nuevo equipo es absolutamente horrible.Han estado mezclando mesas toda la noche. Tuve que pagar otra mesa y luego pedir un reembolso.El menú también ha sido cambiado, el parfait de pollo no tenía sabor. Devuelvelo.

Nos detuvimos porque necesitábamos refrescarnos durante un día abrasador. Muchas mesas, respeto del distanciamiento social, servicio amable y cerveza fresca y crujiente.Mi esposa decidió probar los huevos scotch de morcilla, que eran divinos.Sin duda volveremos en nuestro próximo viaje a Londres.

Great new food offering, scotch eggs were amazing

This was some of the very worst and overpriced food we have ever been served. A mix nut roast was some roast veg with a few roasted nuts sprinkled one top then covered in a white sauce and sprinkled with parmesan. The roast pork was just slices of fat, no gravy as it is extra for beef jus - what about for pork and vegetarian eaters? The cauliflower cheese at five pounds extra was hard cauliflower with a tiny amount of tasteless sauce, sprinkled with parmesan and placed under a grill. The whole meal looked like pre-prepared food from the cash and carry heated through. Never again.

So even though we got there saying we had a lunch reservation the waiter failed to tell us that none of the main plates were being made at the moment because they were understaffed. Why didnt I receive a call ahead telling me that? Why wasnt I told when I got to the restaurant rather than only 30 minutes later when we had all picked our food. Total nonsense - not going back and wont reccommend.

Arrived on time for a 2.45 table booked on opentable to be told the restaurant has closed and no tables available downstairs. Pretty poor. We went elsewhere.
