We came for Sunday lunch on New Year’s Eve and had the beef sirloin and pork. Both dishes were delicious with a fab selection of roast veg and delicious homemade yorkshires. The staff are also fab, definitely worth a visit!

I feel kindness should be acknowledged. I rang this restaurant on Christmas Eve on the off chance they could do a takeaway Christmas Day lunch for my father in law who was unfortunately spending the day on his own but lives nearby, not only did they agree to do a 3 course lunch for him the lovely lady I spoke to Jackie arranged for it to be delivered to him, I know it will be very much appreciated by my father in law, but I felt such a lovey gesture should be recognised, Thank you so much.

Went For Sunday lunch the beef was the toughest I have experienced in the last 12 months. we were given another helping which was no better The vegetables were so undercooked I had difficulty cutting them The most edible were the roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings Definitely will no be going back

Interesting location on the hillside overlooking the valleys and golf courses. We were one of the first tables for a Sunday seating and it took a while to get drinks orders in. Service was a bit slow so however when we ordered, we were NOT advised there was only ONE chef for the entire restaurant. It took about 25 mins for starters to come and another 25-30 for mains so if you're going there for Brunch, don't expect them to be quick. The day we were there their till system crashed so they couldn't print receipts, though the staff did their best showing the screens to customers. We did pay the optional service charge, only because we felt sorry for the waitress as the kitchen whilst pumping out tasty food took far too long.

Lovely venue, shame about the food. The views and decor are excellent and the staff are friendly. There was a long wait for the food and the starters were fine except, I'm a vegetarian and ate a piece of what, I think, was chicken contaminating my garlic mushrooms. This disgusts me on several levels including my concern for those allergic to some foods. This is the first meat I've eaten in 30 years and it had to be chicken of all things. The soup was chicken and not a veggie option. The menu had changed, but not online, so the things I thought were available weren't. Sunday roast - my two friend's beef so tough it was inedible, the 'roast' potatoes were dry, stale and tasted as if they'd been boiled in advance and put in the fat fryer, the veg and Yorkshires were ok. My impression is of a very cheap, stewing cut of beef which they've tried to roast. I've noticed this before at another restaurant. It was overcooked and like shoe leather. Deep frying boiled potatoes is a well known restaurant cheat but seldom successful. The potatoes had no seasoning whatsoever. I asked for mint sauce which was shop bought and just spooned into a jar, with no dilution with vinegar or sugar, so was overwhelmingly strong. There weren't enough staff to cope, although they were all working very hard. It's no good having an online menu which is out of date and they've employed a 'chef' not able to cook well and who doesn't understand how to cook cheap meat. We had the food discounted but that's no consolation when you're looking forward to a meal. It was a poor experience which we won't be repeating.

Beautiful scenic spot, absolutely stunning. Dog friendly. Food was amazing and atmosphere good too. Boat was running as water was too high but didn’t matter to us!

A textbook experience from the moment we entered this charmingly characterful pub restaurant. The staff were attentive from the beginning to the end, polite & friendly. Our meals were well cooked & delicious & we ended with a tea & coffee; my coffee was the best I've experienced in a long time! We shall certainly return quite soon!

Absolutely shocking Saturday lunch experience. Arrived mid lunch time to an empty pub and miserable, unwelcoming, inconvenienced bar maid. All the ale was off. Most of the specials weren’t on so ordered the wild boar hot dog with a salad. It arrived in a stale, cremated smart price bun. The actual hot dog had been oven cooked until it was blackened, it looked like it had been heated up multiple times. Diced, undercooked onions. The meal arrived with a huge portion of oven chips (frozen, undercooked), no salad. Tried mentioning this to the waitress but she’d stormed off. Honestly, the worst paid meal I’ve ever had. Didn’t finish, left and won’t ever be back. Now I understand why the place was empty. The place has so much potential. Hopefully it goes bust and is bought by someone that understands good hospitality.

We were staying on the Malvern View Country and Leisure Park for a weekend stay which we could not fault. However, we dined at The Old Barnhouse on the Saturday evening and unfortunately the food was terrible. We waited for nearly an hour and when the food arrived it was half cold. My mother and father had scampi and chips, no peas and they were out of tartare sauce! My sister and I had the New Yorker chicken which consisted of a huge portion of coleslaw that wasn’t very nice and the chicken was small and if poor quality. My daughter had a kids pizza, chips and beans which was just about acceptable. The five meals and a round of drinks came to over £80 which was appalling for the quality of the food. Avoid The Old Barnhouse for food! Pleasant enough for a drink.
