Poor quality over priced extremely slow takeaway. Consistently messing up orders. Waited 25 minutes for my order because the staff forgot to put items in the fryer.. just inept.

Chewy fish, rock hard batter, chips nearly dark brown and obviously reheated. This place used to be really good, seriously gone downhill which is a real shame. Get your act together.

Spent £27 on portions of fish and chips from Takeaway. Binned most of chips from all portions - black bad bits from potatoes. Chips greasy and the salvaged ones under-cooked. Fish - had better frozen ones from supermarket.

As regulars before lockdown we were looking forward to visiting again. Unfortunately the standard is not as high as it was previously. None of the old staff seemed to be there and the service wasn't quite right. My fish and chips were greasy and the wine didn't seem chilled enough. We will definitely give them a couple of more attempts, but things need to improve a fair bit to make us regulars again.

Came for end of school holidays with grand daughter and her mum, plenty hand sanitiser at entrance, you wait to be seated which was quite quickly. Waitress ran us through specials and menus. Young one orederd fish bites, chips and peas, lemonade and ice cream, I was surprised small tub ice cream cost £3 and glass lemonade £2.50 altogether childs meal almost as much as adults 2 courses for £15. Planty on plate for adults, generous portions. Little note on tables asking us not to move around re covid19 so what did a young man on another do, started walking around ! no comment, some people don't seem to care but he was a customer. Staff all had transparent face masks on, chef Jason gave us a welcome when we arrived, nice.

We visited under the Eat Out Help Out scheme. When we arrived we were shown straight to our table. The tables were spaced in accordance with the current guidelines. For starters we had Tempura Prawns and Smoked Salmon. For our main courses we both Haddock and Chips plus curry sauce. The food was excellent and the service was very good.

Lovey staff, always having a laugh which is good to see! Amazing fish and chips definitely worth every penny. Cheeky I know but I’d say sack Friendly Fisheries off (miserable bunch)

Great fish and chips,a good sized chip without all the scrappy bits that end up in the bin.

What a late night save! We were staying in Halifax and I remembered the was a great chip shop in King Cross and we went to see if it was open and it was. The fish butty was wonderful, the chips were perfect and the price was perfect. Thank you!

Shoddiest fish and chips i’ve ever had. Asked for 3 large fishes, only got 3 and got charged for 4. Asked for 2 tubs of mushy peas and only got one. Terrible quality fish on top of it. Bloody awful.
