Delicious food, excellent service. Our first time here and we will definitely return. A good menu, excellent food. We all really enjoyed it.

I have been to the caribbean dutchpot a few times. The first time I went the food and service was satisfactory. Really enjoy the curry goat and jerk mac cheese pie. However the last couple of times I have been the service has been painfully slow. Most recently the table next to us didn't get their drinks (which were only bottled beers) until they had been seated about 30 mins. The waitress apologised saying they had an event later so all of their focus was on that. I found this really unorofessional when we are all paying customers and not receiving adequate sevice. If you are really too busy preparing for an event, don't accept dinner bookings. My partner chose to go to the bar to order our food and drinks as our waitress was awol most of the time. There were only 2 other tables in the whole place and 4 front of house staff who appeared to be standing around most of the time doing everything they can to avoid eye, contact with you. We waited 20 minutes for our bill before I had to go and ask at the bar for them to find our waitress so we could pay. Thankfully, knowing how slow the service can be here we turned up 2.5 hours before the show we were going to see, so we weren't late but so easily could have been if we has assumed 2 hours is plenty. The only redeeming parts of our visit which is why I gave it 2 stars is that the food was good and the young guy working behind the bar was very attentive on our many journeys up to it. I hate not tipping in restaurants, but honestly I have had better service in Nandos. I really hope this place gets its act together as so much of this is a staff/service issue.

Pre ordered through just eat the night before it was approve at 12 the next day. It was due to arrive at 6 we set the table waited and it never arrived. Couldn’t get through on the number given. Made us late for concert we were attending for my mother’s birthday as we had to grab dinner on the way. Absolutely terrible not even one star!

The food was very dry over cooked ( burnt) and tasteless . The service was supper slow. The staff friendly that was only good thing I could say.

This place is absolutely amazing!! and the staff are even more amazing... Caribbean Dutch Pot catered for me and did a live cooking station in my back garden. Their food is amazing and it shows that even is tough circumstances their quality isn't compromised. Unfortunately their was a family bereavement just before my event, but even with all the hardship Yvette was able to provide me with the best team to ensure my event still went ahead. I would like to shout out to Chris, Anne-Marie and Nigel for all their hard work and for helping me clear up. It did not feel like i had caters in my house, it felt like my family. Caribbean Dutch Pot's food, hospitality and professionalism is out of the this world and i think other restaurants can really learn from them. Don't worry, it won't be long until i'm back from some more Jerk :)

Good food, we had cauliflower and wings to start, cauliflower was perfect could have had an extra wing, for mains curry goat was supine (could have been hotter to taste) salmon was goooood. wonderful authenticity, good service. All in all a great date night and we will be back!

I don't often complain about unsatisfactory meals, howwever I felt compelled to WARN anyone that might be considering spending their money in this place...DON'T!. Tonight, I went into this empty establishment with my partner. Together we ordered a Vegan 'Chicken' style Curry (rice and peas), Oxtail (white rice) and Fried Plantain with drinks. To my utter dismay, I was presented with a small portion of white rice which looked like a block of congealed rice pudding and oxtail that was nothing more than seasoned bones....overly spicy ones. I politely brought this to the server's attention and she took it up with the chef. On her her return she said that the message from the CHEF, which I use in loose terms, was 'that's how oxtail comes'. At that point we asked to see the chef or manager/owner. 10 minutes later the owner came out and reiterated that oxtail is bony and that there was nothing that she could do. I was horrified with her flippant response, considering that the dish cost £14.99 and we were the only customers in the place. We should have gone with our gut feeling and not supported the business but as fellow Jamaicans, we thought 'why not?'. What a mistake.... I should have looked at the reviews beforehand...... Still Hungry as I left the food, collected without even a 'sorry that you feel that way'. Shocking!!!

Food was excellent, especially the Dumplins with jerk chicken. I recommend the Acki and saltfish. The music and service was great too. A must visit.

Pleasantly surprised Cocktails good and food great Two for one on cocktails take advantage as they are good an in pint glasses Food Jerk chicken was a bit too much jerk seasoning But the oxtail made me wish I did a takeaway was really food Curr goat was nice Buthave to order fried dumpling with special sauce Not sure what it was but good I said thank the chef, “you should thank me I taught him he’s my son” we both laughed Service was warm, why wouldn’t it be …. I would avoid this place if you are hungry ! Went here after a recommendation of how nice the food is. Wish I could comment on this but unfortunately we didn't get to try the mains ! Arrived at 730 , not busy at all. Was showed to our table give the food menu , told our waitress would come to take order by a grumpy member of staff . Waited 15 mins no drinks menu given , had to ask . Waited a further 10 minutes before our drinks order along with our food order was taken and a further 15 for the drinks to arrive , cocktails awful not worth the wait . Starter came out after another 15- 20 mins . Salt fish fritter were actually very nice , stuffed dumplings under cooked and not exactly stuffed . Carried on waiting for mains they didn't arrive ! The place has three doors all of which were open and it was absolutely freezing . Three bar staff behind the bar , place not busy not sure why it took so long for drinks . Long and short of it we decided to leave , asked for the bill still had to wait for this , paid £37 for 2 cocktails a vodka and two starters no discount for the s show we had endured . The waitress informed us our mains were 'nearly ' ready by this point we had been sat there for an hour and a half ! No thank you , god knows how they cope in busy times , most defiantly will not be returning .

We have been here many times and had a delicious meal each time. The cocktails are great and are 2 for 1 before 7 and after 9. The goat curry is the best I’ve had and the aubergine mains are very moreish. It’s a chilled place, if it’s busy, just have another cocktail and enjoy the wait.

had a delievery order of jerk chicken nd curried goat and omg loved both of them..... service was really good both talking to them and delievery time ..... would deffo tell the whole world about this

Ordered 2 large portions of fish and plantains. Was offered some coleslaw and potato salad to try which was never delivered. The plantains were too brown almost burnt. He tilapia fillets were just a load of nonsense, greasy, slimy. What a waste of £20. Called her to tell all she could say was, “she cooked it herself and it was fine. Next time you order l will give you a discount”. Fish should never be slimy. Chucked it in the bin. Never again will l order from her again.

The food was wonderful, real friendly people. I recommend the boneless goat if you do not like bones in the meal. But I would recommend highly thoroughly enjoyed my meal

Curry goat - bland no spices and disappointing Doh balls thick and gloopy. Was not very impressed and did not eat most of it as it just had no flavour

People are talking about this place and so I was wonder how it is and taste. Tried it and it was amazing and can understand what people are talking about.

Absolutamente terrible. Leer los otros comentarios POR FAVOR antes de ordenar. Tanto los huesos. Poquito de carne pegados firmemente en que era en su mayoría burbujas de grasa. El arroz y guisantes estoy seguro que haría que cualquier persona desde el Caribe avergonzó. Los extras no fueron enviados que estaban incluidos en el precio. Intentamos comer algunos, pero terminó en la papelera. De malgastar el dinero ganado duro! Debería darle vergüenza dando huesos desechos como comida genuina. Habíamos estado con ganas de probar esto por un par de meses y estar en un presupuesto, nos ahorramos compensa. Realmente no es feliz. Sus ingredientes son horribles y vergonzosas.

Absolutely excellent service and delicious food. We will definitely order again. We were unsure what to order so asked the takeaway to recommend something. Their choices were perfect. The food was very tasty and memorable

Fuimos a Northampton para un fin de semana con mi amigo y dejó tastecard para ver que había locales que pudimos conseguir una oferta. A 15 minutos andando del centro de la ciudad de encontrar aquí. El restaurante es limpio y el personal es simpático, sin embargo, que intentan llegar a convertir que técnicamente pasé extra por sólo 1 bolas como había pescado frito y guiso ya que estaban completos de arroz y guisantes. Mi amigo disfrutó su buey y arroz blanco, mientras que mi pescado parecía ser sazonada con pimienta negra y que sólo unas pocas cebollas y cortar cebollas de primavera para hacerlo presentable. En vez de hervir cebollas, pimienta, zanahoria y estilo caribeño vinagre y poner el pescado para darle sabor. No es un lugar que me gustaría volver a pesar de conseguir 2 por 1 con un tastecard.

We ordered from here last night and had goat curry, jerk chicken, festival chicken and fish fritters. I would not recommend it! Good service but the food tasted awful 😷

El hotel de una estrella es para el servicio con una sonrisa. La comida era horrible teníamos pollo Jerk, curry de cabra y rabo, todos eran igualmente repugnante. He comido formulario existen muchas tiendas que sirven los mismos tipos de comida como este lugar y cada una de ellas era la de un mejor estándar. faaaaar No sólo era la carne insípida era difícil hasta el punto de que ni siquiera podían mordeduras del hueso. Incluso el arroz sabía mal y no estoy seguro de cómo es que eso es posible. Nunca jamás regresara de nuevo a este lugar. Horrible!!!

delicious goat curry, bought on groupon voucher, would recommend boneless and pay the extra. the jerk wings were a little small. salt fish fritters were lovely, friendly nice service.

Absolutely Disgaceful the size was awful i got 2 sticky chicken wings smaller than my thumb for 2 pound (usually you get 4-6 wings not 2 ) The Goat is full of bones and small and no meat on it and the medium was no different to large . Im really Dissapointed wont be ordering again , as had this problem a year ago and decided to give them a chance again spent over 25 quid for nothing but No meat just bones from our curried Goat dishes! Also chicken wings smaller than my thumb x2 for 2 pound ( and i have very small hands) Wont ever Order again from here, Dated 28/10/1015 Sort ya portions out Dutchpot!

I recently decided to try a takeaway from here: slight trepidation as I noticed a strong, unpleasant smell of damp in the restaurant whilst picking up my order. There seemed to be only one busy lady both cooking and serving at the counter.I shared a large curry goat and a lark jerk chicken with my wife, up sized to 'large' portions, hoping to have plenty of leftovers. Although plenty of rice, portion size of the main meal seemed fairly mean for large: normal would be far too small.The actual flavour of the food was very disappointing. Curry goat was like a vaguely savoury stew ( despite being cooked on the bone), and the jerk chicken barely had any flavour at all! I'd expected a hot and spicy treat, but got a very bland meal indeed. The fish fritter was too both simultaneously too greasy to eat whilst being tasteless. I'm at a loss to understand how a vibrant, lively, spicy cuisine could have been delivered so badly. I'd suggest that you avoid this place - almost anywhere else will provide you with a better dining experience.
