Lovely terrace to enjoy some drinks and food in summer. The BBQ chicken and the loaded fries were really good. The staff was friendly and professional. Definitely a nice discovery!

First time here with 3 friends, didn't book but were given a table in the bar area by the only waitress we saw all evening. The place was very busy for just one waitress, and the bar was equally stretched....only 2 staff, one of which disappeared leaving a nice young chap on his own and obviously stressed. Our food was slow arriving, but we thoroughly enjoyed it, even if it wasn't hot (the delicious spices made up for that!). It took an age to get our bill.....the lone waitress was overloaded with orders, serving, bills etc, but the barman sorted it for us. All in all, despite the slow, delayed, and to be honest.....not very friendly service, we will give the restaurant another visit and hope more staff will be in place by then.

Service was poor. There was no organisation in the restaurant at all. We waited half an hour for our drinks. Was given ‘Coke Barr’ when I was told Coke was on tap. Food was alright.

We were the only ones in there and service was still pretty slow considering there were a few of them there. Forgot my cocktail at one point so had to wait another 10 mins for it. Food was nice.

Excellent, absolutely wonderful Jerk Chicken. My partner had never tried it apart from a taste of mine before but loved it. Staff were friendly and attentive and all in all, good value for money.

SO DELICIOUS! I had the goat curry with dumplings and a side of plantain. When I first saw the price I thought it was a bit much but when I tasted the meal...I knew that the price was absolutely justified! The goat was out of this world, completely fell off the bone, so tasty and the perfect temperature. And the dumplings were such a beautiful compliment. They were not too doughy and not too greasy, just perfect. Initially, I thought the portion looked small when it came out but I was wrong, it's very filling indeed. The whole meal was just delightful. My husband and I can't wait to go again!

me and my husband visited on a saturday was around lunchtime, first thing i would suggest is to train the young guy to pour a pint as it was absolutely shocking, he tried to tell us it was the beer until we asked for a replacement and understood it was in fact not the beer but his lack of pouring skills. we ordered curry goat, jerk chicken, plantain and dumpling. jerk has very mediocre id give it a 4/10. the rice was very very very dry i would perhaps look into how you guys reheat rice cause i can guarantee what i got was not fresh rice. plantain was also very dry. goat meat was perfect and tender i’d eat that again for sure and dumpling was good too. also portion sizes are abit disappointing for the amount it costs.

I ordered take out , Brown stew Chicken..however it had no sauce or gravy with it and was dry...Food arrived Luke warm but it was a cold day . I wasn't impressed with the flavour to be honest sorry..the steamed vegetables were bland... disappointing...This was ordered for my sons 16th birthday my daughter also said her curry goat had no sauce or gravy so meals were dry.

I love the atmosphere. Waiters was lovely. The food is unique and well made. However the flavour needs work. My spicy oxtail beef was extremely mild and had little flavour. Otherwise a lovely place.

Updated: i changed my review as it was justeats fault not the resturant. Looking forward to trying again. Ordered on justeat. Waited about 30 mins then they just canceled with no reason. Leaving it too late to order elsewhere. Looking forward to it so extremley dissapointed.

Been twice to bottomless brunch...absolutely no issues with my pineapple allergy..the drinks don't give you that heartburn that the syrup drinks do...and the food is actually authentic Caribbean food....go you won't regret it!!

I order DutchPot from Uber Eats and their food is always full of flavour and never disappoints me. I really do recommend if you fancy some really good Caribbean food!

Would give zero stars if possible. burger tasted rotten and still made to pay full price for it. absolutely disgusting food don't waste your time eating here. **I too was waiting for your comment. I had read the other 1 star reviews and based off your condescending replies I expected this to be your response. so unprofessional. First of all I did not complain about the portion size. I chose only the burger because that is all I wanted and was happy to pay full price for just a burger, had it not been inedible. The waiter asked me if everything was OK when he dropped off the food. at this point I had not tasted it yet, how on earth am I supposed to already know it is going to taste disgusting? also he did not come back to check on how I was enjoying the meal, I had to go to the bar myself and explain that the burger was inedible. If you really know how to make a good burger, you should not need sauces to make it taste good. it tasted like the meat was past its sell by date/ wasn't fresh. and the fact that it was made from frozen is no excuse. mcdonalds makes burgers from frozen and they taste a lot better. but I must thank you because you taught me a very valuable lesson. Next time I'm in a new city, it's straight to mcdonalds/ burger king/ five guys for me, at least I will actually be able to eat what I pay for.

The location of Caribbean DutchPot was pretty central. Decent service. The waiter was friendly and attentive, but had accidentally added an additional item to the starters that we hadn't asked for. On realising what had happened, the chef agreed we could have the item anyway. On checking the receipt later, we were astonished to realise we had been charged for the additional item. The starters were nice, but pricey for what they were. The mains were also pricey, with each of our dishes costing approx. £15. Although one of us is White and the other one of us is Caribbean, we both agreed that the mains were not flavoursome.

Satisfying, authentic and incredibly delicious Caribbean cuisine. This is one of those places I keep going back to because the food is amazing every single time. Polite and professional service, positive vibes with the reggae/ dancehall music and the cocktails are delicious.

I had a great meal here. I had the Jerk Chicken (half chicken) with fries. The jerk flavour was very good and the chicken was very well cooked, nice and juicy also the chicken had a lot of meat on it not the skin and bones you often get when ordering a half chicken at restaurants. Fries were good too. Would highly recommend. I will be going back to try some of the other foods on the menu.

Came in with my husband and son on a whim. It wasn't very busy and I'd love to come back when there is some kind of event, sit, drink, eat some food, it feels like a good space. I enjoyed my food, although my vegan meal was served with non vegan coleslaw on the side - this happens a lot in other places, and it is something restaurants should be more aware of. In fairness they did offer to change it, but I just slid it on to my husbands plate :) The people who work there are friendly and helpful. So yeah, we'll be back!

Celebrated my sons 18th birthday party and we all had an amazing time. Yvett and the stuff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Such a lovely team. We had a buffet and the food was enjoyed by all. Especially recommend the cauliflower bites and stamp’n’go. Cocktails was also good. I highly recommend coming here whether you just wanna chill with your friends or celebrate an event, absolutely great place in Northampton x

We ate here on a quiet Sunday afternoon, and had a great meal. Loads of vegan options, all very fresh, tasty, and well-cooked. Prices are very reasonable, and the staff friendly and efficient. Thank you - we'll be back!

What a great place. Evette the owner served us and she was brilliant. Very polite, welcoming and friendly. Great selection of drinks and the food was amazing.

My partner, I and a friend went to northampton pride which was very poor. On our way back to the car we came across Carabean duch pot. Me, being a fussy eater, my partner said I would not like it as it is spicy food. We agreed to try it and see what it was like. There was no one else in there so seating was not an issue and service was quick. My partner and our friend had the chicken curry and I had brown stew chicken. The food was amazing and flavourful. Cocktail list is of plenty and good selection of drinks on tap. We finished off with desert of trio icecream which also hit the spot. Now my partner and I are planing to go at least once amoth due to distance. I will highly recommed this place, the food and drink. Toilets are really clean which for myself is a good indicator to the kitchen.

I don't often complain about unsatisfactory meals, however I felt compelled to WARN anyone that might be considering spending their money in this place...DON'T!. Tonight, I went into this empty establishment with my partner. Together we ordered a Vegan 'Chicken' style Curry (rice and peas), Oxtail (white rice) and Fried Plantain with drinks. To my utter dismay, I was presented with a small portion of white rice which looked like a block of congealed rice pudding and oxtail that was nothing more than seasoned bones....overly spicy ones. I politely brought this to the server's attention and she took it up with the chef. On her her return she said that the message from the CHEF, which I use in loose terms, was 'that's how oxtail comes'. At that point we asked to see the chef or manager/owner. 10 minutes later the owner came out and reiterated that oxtail is bony and that there was nothing that she could do. I was horrified with her flippant response, considering that the dish cost £14.99 and we were the only customers in the place. We should have gone with our gut feeling and not supported the business but as fellow Jamaicans, we thought 'why not?'. What a mistake.... I should have looked at the reviews beforehand...... Still Hungry as I left the food, collected without even a 'sorry that you feel that way'. Shocking!!!

From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and a vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant's ambiance was lively and inviting, with colourful décor and soothing revival reggae music. The menu offered a good array of Caribbean dishes that left my taste buds wanting more. The flavour’s were simply exquisite, bursting with the authentic taste of the islands.

Came here for a meal with my partner and we had a lovely time. There was a 30th birthday party going on at the time which was nice, while we was eating our dinner there was a DJ playing good tunes so that was great and it made the atmosphere really good inside the venue . Food was really tasty and nicely presented thank you 👍🏼

Brilliant authentic Carribbean food. Good sized portions and plenty of choice ... Service was a little slow but it was fairly busy and this is completely forgiveable knowing the food is top notch. Loved every bite ... A special mention has to be given to the suga dumplings...hot delicious and not too rich...these tick every box ..I will be back!

I was very disappointed with the food I received Saturday as I have dined there in the past and the food was amazing! I ordered the Saltfish fritter which were supposed to come with a mango and salsa salad, none arrived and all we had was so dried fish that was bland as it had no sauce! We ordered the macaroni which was supposed to come with the bread, but there was no bread! We also ordered the burger with sweet fries, which tasted ok but was cold, so we had to heat it up which defeats the object of having a takeaway! We paid £40 for a meal that was extremely insipid and disappointing and not as advertised which is unfair and illegal. I don't think I will be re-ordering from them again. They don't even respond to the complaint. As as a family business I expected more from them! They don't even offer compensation or a free starter or something to try and coax you back, instead they take your money and it isn't cheap and you never hear from them again! They have lost their mojo as they used to be really good!!! Trading standards will be informed as on Just Eat there are numerous complaints about missing items and it never seems to get addressed!!! False advertising and theft!!!

Went here on the off chance. It said kids eat free but when the bill came it wasn't what was expected as we were charged full price for all of the kids meals. It specified on the menu and website that kids at free. They said that only certain ideals were free. They didn't say at any point when we ordered the food. When we asked for a refund we were told they could only partially refund us. Had they refunded us we would have happily spent our money there again. They didn't show much willing to offer much. The food was ok, the only downside was the jetk chicken was a bit dry and the Saltfish fritters were on a bed of barbecue sauce which I don't like as I don't like the sauce. Defintely won't be going again.

I had the most Awesome evening. Went to celebrate 50th Birthday 🎂 🥳. The food was excellent. The portion was so much, had to take home some. The vide was just right. I definitely will be coming back.. Awsome 💯💯💯💯💯

This was the best experience I had in Northampton Recently...Kudos to the whole team. 1-Food.👍The best in Northampton for Caribbean taste..also u can have the Caribbean taste without flying to Carribbean. 2- The best among the others 3-Atmospheare-I have no words to tell about the atmosphere, It's magical wibes with the Caribbean Songs and smell of the Caribbean foods and the behavior of the staffs...u might be wonder is that I am in Carribea....Everyone should visit once in your time to more about this place...I would give 9.9/10..

Amazing food! Good portion sizes. Freshly cooked to order. You could tell the chef was experienced and knew what he was doin with the flavours. Very Friendly staff. We were made to feel welcome when we arrived and had our table booked for 8pm on a Friday night. I had the Jamaican dumplings with jerk mayo followed by a decently sized half Jerk chicken with sweet potato fries. All flavours were spot on! A kick with the spice was good too. There was little a jug of jerk gravy to spice things up even more if you wanted to add it. Also some lovely cooling coleslaw on the side made it a Perfect meal. Then Followed it up with a trio of icecream: rum & raisin, coconut and vanilla to finish with. Perfect sizes. 😁 Copies of Menus on tables could do with being laminated perhaps and there was a little bit of confusion from staff as to what was actually available on the menu (just a tiny point that would have given it a 5 star in my opinion) But otherwise an extremely lovely experience. Will defo be coming back to taste some more of your delicious Jamaican food Thankyou very much

Fantastic restaurant, friendly staff, great food - what's not to like. Started off with a lamb patty. It arrived hot, crispy, delicately spiced, really tasty. For main I ordered the curried goat. The amount of bones in the curry showed it was authentic, but the meat was tender and tasty. It was accompanied by a bowl of spice, which really complemented the curry. Together with salad, rice and beans It was very tasty. Shame there weren't more people there on a Friday night, but now you've read this review you'll fix that. Go! Your stomach will thank you!

Ordered Jerk Chicken to celebrate Black History Month for a cooperate event. To be honest, was not sure if my work colleagues would be able to handle the spicies, surprisingly everyone loved it and had to re-order for another work event. Thank you so much...

Where do I start, the slowest customer service regardless of if your getting food or just drinks 20-40 minute wait. As a Jamaican wanted to find a Jamaican take out. The box of bones (“oxtail”) and white rice was terrible, the meat was very white and not a dark colour I am used to. Chicken wings were edible once you scraped the sesame seeds someone through on like confetti. Owner is very nice which led to me even wanting to try, all in all very disappointed will not be back.

I attended a conference last Saturday near the venue and pre-ordered my lunch to collect at 1.30pm. Unfortunately the queue for collection was so long and slow, I wasn't able to collect my lunch!! I spent the lunch break queuing and didn't get my food. I tried to contact the venue after the event 3 times requesting a refund and no one has responded to me. Such a shame

The food was fairly spicy, dry, and partially cold. Long waiting time, approx. 30 minutes. The peas are called red beans. The meat dish was mostly bone-in-oil with a little meat. And my vegan dish turned out to be vegetarian. The juice was supposed to be fresh, it was made of cardboard - and I asked specifically before. There was no cider on the menu, it was different from the menu. Drinks well and some two out of one. Vege burner was very disappointing. And the cauliflower pieces are very spicy. We spent about £ 55 and left hungry. I strongly advise against. The garden was ok.

Visited this establishment a couple of days ago with 4 other members of my family for the first time. I have to say it is one of the most welcoming and friendly restaurants I've been to in a long time. We were greeted warmly and made to feel welcome immediately. The waiter & owner was friendly and accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. The food was well presented, well cooked & tasty. The overall vibe of the place was fantastic with chilled reggae playing in the background. If you love West Indian cooking and a chilled atmosphere this is the place for you. The only slight disappointment for my step father was no snapper or bream.... But he did find plenty of other tasty morsels to fill the void. We will definitely be back. The food is excellent. We have been twice in the last few weeks and are going again this weekend for a birthday dinner. The folks who run the place are relaxed and friendly. The menu is not extensive, so while there is plenty of choice, you don't need to spend ages pondering. The jerk and the curries are top drawer, with everything cooked perfectly.

Working at Silverstone and staying nearby, We visit the Caribbean dutchpot Evey night arfter work and pretty much tried everything on the menu. Every single meal was cooked to perfection and tasted out of this world 😋. Very friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
