Salt fish fritters were very tasteless, stodgy and oily. Couldn’t eat it :( Also, lady behind the counter was not inviting at all.

Food was very nice but the curry was a little bitter I think it’s too much turmeric but could be wrong

Me and my family have eaten many times from the Calabash Hut and never had a bad experience! The portion size is very generous and the food is piping hot on delivery. I seriously doubt there is any other place that does Caribbean food as delicious as this… each dish is beautifully flavoured and feels like it feeds your soul! The chefs relatives are blessed. Added bonus… the staff are lovely too and will even give advice on where to get your car rims fixed at a decent price 😊

Excellent food at reasonable prices & delicious

Travelled up from Kent and met this amazing lady (owner)and bought a couple of meals - wow she runs tings when it comes to her curry goat and rice - excellent quality of food - extremely generous portions Very friendly very helpful, I most definitely without question highly recommend this little gem of a find to anyone who loves good authentic Caribbean food Shame I live so far away but I’m definitely going to her when I’m next in Northampton Please support this wonderful lady’s business

Was so disappointed. Food was tasteless. Even down to the dumplings. Curry goat was swimming in oil. We had to chuck a lot of it away. Rice tasted like it had been defrosted and reheated, such a shame. Won’t be revisiting

5 stars all around for Calabash Hut. My favourite Caribbean. I’ve tried other places and the quality don’t compare. I also love their homemade carrot juice (with rum). The owners are very sweet people who make you feel welcome. Great place run by great people. 😊

Food was all micro waved not one bit was fresh goat was microwaved and made to taste funky amd jurk wings micro waved and covered in tomato sauce which was disgusting, fried chicken was cold and seemed too tough to be fresh cooked so therefore microwave used only things to tast fresh was festival’s dumplings was re heated aswell total waste of 38£ will not be ordering again you should of stuck to cooking at home since you’ve opened your shop you have gone down hill , big mikes is by far the best

Asked for a large chips and the chips we received was More like a small chips then anything not happy with that and ordered two portions of plantain and only got one portion but everything els was filing Mac and cheese amazing like normal

Stopped here whilst visiting Northampton from Cambridge and discovered this fantastic place. The rice and peas was DELICIOUS and the curry goat had alot of tender well seasoned meat. The dumplings were fluffy and golden and the festivals are HUGE! The jerk wings had authentic flavours but was a litte bit dry (more sauce next time please 😊) The service has left a lasting impression on me, the owner Lance is such a sweet soul, he's delightful and very hospitable. It really felt like I was visiting family as I ate my food and chatted away with him about Jamaica 🇯🇲 Overall a wonderful experience and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for authentic Jamaican food. 5 Stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Appalling service. We used to order regularly but won’t be anymore. Ordered at 19:17, asked for an update at 20:50 was told it was on the way. At 21:23 (Over 2 hours) late then cancelled with no explanation, no answer when we called. Will not be coming back.

I had the curried goat and oxtail and beans and it’s some of the best I’ve ever had. Portions were massive too. Would definitely recommend, certainly the best carribean food in Northampton.

Way better than Caribbean dutchpot, delicious curry goat and oxtail was so tender. Large portions worth the price will be ordering again. I ordered the oxtail with rice and peas, Mac and cheese and a lamb patty. Enjoyed every bite of it. Note to the delivery man - make sure to take that trip to Ghana, you won’t regret it!

I’m not happy it took two hours to receive my food. Eating as late as I did impacted the experience and my entire evening starting my weekend off on the back foot. I received a notification saying the order was en route but nothing for 45 minutes which resulted in me calling and unfortunately wasn’t filled with confidence after getting off the phone. We did receive a free cake but ultimately the damage was done and I’m only feeding back to hope you see this and reverse engineer the problem that

This place is absolutely amazing when it comes to me ordering each time, the food is always so good, the delivery guy is always so nice and friendly every single time he apologised for being a couple minutes late which I thought was so sweet and he apologised that there was no CDs to give as they had run out which I wasn’t expecting anyway but was very thoughtful of him to say. I love this place so much it’s very flavourful and filling, the price is really decent for what you get as well. Will always recommend to everyone I know.

Honestly 10/10, food came hot and fresh!!!! Live in a difficult area so was hard for delivery to find property but it made no difference you flavours were out of this world to the point you can taste the greatness just from the smell, and customer service was comparable to none!! I had to stop eating my food to write this as it’s definitely needed a review. I was recommended this, first time in trying and believe me, it’s worth it, the chicken is amazing cooked to perfection. The food might be nice but I wouldn’t eat it, the street is rat infested outside the shop, I couldn’t even walk back to my car. Disgusting, I asked for a refund but was refused.

Food was late and cold. Also, not well packaged. Who adds waffles with Mac n cheese, prawns, coleslaw and cold prawns. Also the Mac and cheese was made with penne pasta and not macaroni.

Flavour was amazing, delivery driver friendly. We've eaten from Turtle Bay and Dutchpot, but this place blows them out of the water. Chicken moist and flavourful. Spices perfect. Portion sizes are very soul like. It takes like passion and love down generations went into the food. Would recommend highly to anyone.

Delicious food. BBQ chicken was really enjoyed by my non spice loving wife, even though it wasn't her usual spice-less. Goat Roti was great. Enough for 2 more meals. And the chocolate banana cake is HALF A LOAF! Great value!

Great food and great service! I always order the fried fish as it’s massive! And always cooked perfectly. The macaroni and cheese is always good so I do hugely recommend this place of your hungry also try their desserts it’s really good for the price. Also homemade so you can’t go wrong

-The prices: not sure how fair they are (will definitely come again to try more). The pamphlet is outdated apparently. Ie. My patty was supposed to be £3, it was £3.50. Work on getting those prices updated everywhere. -Chicken patty I bought tasted phenmenal! Never had something like that. Like a spicy, chicken pastry type -Good selection of food. Africans will be happy to try here -Lady at the counter was nice, gave me time to choose and didn't rush. Food came quick.
