I cannot recommend Carlton Fish Bar highly enough. Without doubt, it’s the best fish and chip shop in the area. The quality of the food is outstanding - freshly cooked, not greasy and tastes delicious. If you’ve never tried this place before, you don’t know what you’re missing!

Dave & Donna own and run the best chippy around. They are friendly, welcoming and always up for a chat and a laugh. The fish and chips are amazing and our little dog loves his sausage treat that he knows he’ll be getting whenever we drop in for our Friday night dinner. We would highly recommend Carlton Fish Bar....give it a call try you won’t be sorry!!!

My wife and I have for the last couple of years made it a thing where each week we try a different fish and chip shop or fish and chips restaurant. Out of all the one’s we have been to the Carlton Fish Bar is one of the best. The fish is always fresh and the batter is really good. Well worth a visit!!!!

No sólo es este el mejor "fish and chips" en la región, probablemente que la mejor en el país. Bien no he probado todos ellos sin embargo, es una verdadera tienda de patatas chip tradicional. Ataques aéreos y desconchado en locales no comprado a granel en grandes bolsas de plástico impregnado en lejía fry blanco para detenerlos ir de negro. Lo que significa que puede haber verdadera ya que se fichas de color marrón. Todos los extras habituales vienen también, quieres que has conseguimos o te. Son amantes de los perros que no puede estar mal. Un amante de los perros, la confianza adyacente. Gracias Donna y Dave para hacer este el mejor "fish and chips"

We as a family regularly call at this chippy. Especially on Saturday lunchtimes after our three daughters horse riding and dancing lessons. Always great friendly service and superb food. Been coming here for 30+ years. Always consistent! Well done to the latest team and the original team.

a friend told me the fish was the size of whales, i didn't believe him, but unfortunately he was right "again" the portion size was massive, fish chips peas gravy (cos us norvern boys love our gravy", the staff are lovely, so friendly, someone told me that its a wife and husband that works there, i must have gone on hubby's night off cos their was a lovely blond serving in her late 30's and an old guys doing the frying in his late 60's. This place is defo the best chippy in the area, double cooked chips, crispy batter a round the fish, chunky flaky fish that melts in the mouth.

Tasty fish n chips and also do a great fish slice (layers of potato and fish) popular with the locals and probably one on the very few left owned by British folk Enjoy

You'll not find a better chippy anywhere. If your looking for the good old fashioned fish and chips then this is the place to go. Great staff who serve you the best fish and chips money can buy.

Fish and chips like they should be and all done to order. You wont get anaemic looking chips here but proper chipped potatoes cooked to golden brown and fish in a lovely light crispy batter. Best fish and chips in the area, bar none!!

The whole family work in this establishment and you can tell. The service is excellent food wonderful. My husband and I were late one night and Dave put in 2 fish meals for us even though it was closed! Highly recommend this family run business x

Simply the best traditional chippy. The chips are real, not the FRY-WHITE bleached prepacked chips most chop shops use', these are real rumbled and chipped potatoes all done on premises. They are twice fried making them golden brown outer with soft white fluffy inner chips. The owners are happy and cheerful and always greet you with a hello and smile very welcoming indeed. Great selection In the menu good pricing. If you like your chips you have to try these, Donna and Dave will welcome you and serve you the best.

This is a tradition chippie, twice cooked chips which are Brown, not the pale anemic excuse for chips that MOST chippies think people want. The fish is always fresh and usually just out off the fryer, mainly because it sells out so quickly. The only draw back is it's only open at dinner times and Friday evenings. But it's worth it. The owners are both welcoming and jolly, there's always a warm greeting They are 5 star rated by the council for hygiene and you can tell it's very very clean. They have a varied menu and meet most people's tastes if you want the best fish and chips in the area give this one a try, you'll be hooked and going back week after week
