Excellent food delivered early.

Amazing food. Only thing I would rate down on is they sent the wrong drinks. Ordered two bottles and a can and got two cans and a bottle.

Fantastic food and the person who delivered the food was so polite and kind definitely use more often

Went for a walk with alfie went to the fish shop the lady in there was very helpful and could not do enough use loved the fish and chips and thankyou Alfie loved the sausage well recommend them thankyou for your service and will be calling again when out with Alfie

Absolutely vile been twice and twice I have been poorly spewing all night long happen twice they must serve very bad meat would miss this place out if I was you there’s far better places in hawrworth

It was my first visit. On entering I asked if they accepted card payments. The lady said yes. My order was £3.70 so she then told me that there was a minimum £5 spend. She could have told me that before so I refused. She then said that she could charge an extra 50p instead. Again I refused and pointed out that it is against the law to add charges for card use. I left the sausage and chips with her as she was still protesting and shouting abuse. Memorable for the wrong reason I’m afraid. I won’t be returning and from the appearance and attitude can only assume that some of the other revues are quite old.

Poor- Below Average. Chips were cool(not quite stone cold). Portions were tiny! I thought the tray was to put my Fish Pattie on seperate.... not try to cram everything onto such a small tray! Fish Pattie had a layer of fish spread so thinly you couldn't taste or see the fish. Prices are steep for what you get in a portion. Captive audience as there's no local competition, so they'll continue to sell this dross.

Fish and chips both good but portions were small. Fish was expensive considering the size.

The fish and chips are amazing from here. So i popped in to tell them shame they aren't our local chippy as were from Nottingham

Special fish and chips with curry £5.50 try size, like you' ed have from a small shellfish stall at the coast, sorry not a place I'll be visiting again.

First visit loved my fish chips and mushy peas 😋 and stayed hot till I got home misson

Lovely fish and chip meal. Portion size is good and not expensive. They also do donner kebabs. The couple are really nice and friendly. Been here loads of times since we moved here 3 years ago.

Good service, good food although portions a little small.

I had really tasty chips, battered sausage and curry sauce. I was too late to try the fish but the batter on the sausage was top notch. Adhered to Covid-19 regulations perfectly. Recommended.

Friendly staff and really great fish and chips. The fish was large, very white and lovely crisp batter served with great chips. Very impressed and will definitely return.

This chippy is in the Yorkshire village where my mum lives. I travel home about once a month. If I am having fish and chips it has to be from the Codfather . Consistently good, great staff . Can’t be beaten .

Been here once before and has good fish and chips, though strange coloured peas? Visited again this evening at 21:00 to find it was closed though google says it should be open... Disappointed hence the low rating. I had to go to KFC which was good.

Eat here from time to time, never disappointed, had to review today as it was outstanding. Fish was absolutely beautiful, chips good and not greasy. The lady is always friendly and smiley, just the way it should be at your local chippy

Delicious. Batter is really good on the fish. They always cook it to order so you know it's fresh. A large chips is plenty for two of us. Can pay by card.

Although I have a fish and chip shop in my village a couple of miles away from The Codfather,I do tend to use this one more. Always freshly cooked and served with a smile,you just can't go wrong.

It is our local chippy and they are lovely. It is a family run chip shop all the staff are friendly and the fish and chips are lovely. I can't fault them

Came here on holiday. Got a meal for two adults and two children, also got 4 decent cans of larger for under £20! Amazing quality and huge potions.
