Went to the caraway today for my friends babyshower and I couldn't fault the place! I had the lasagne which was beautiful. Our server josie was absolutely amazing , so helpful and thoughtful ❤ highly recommend, great atmosphere and friendly staff. X

Service good atmosphere good with kids discos , food side needs improving. Chips with black bits on looks like oil needs changing. Other than that all good

Instant polite attention on arrival. Immediate notification of items not available - very useful to know at this stage. Food served quickly and well cooked.

The staff were spot on, we have children with special needs, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was delicious and we will definitely be going there again and for the first time ever our kids have asked when can we go back

Clean and friendly and the food was well cooked. It’s a pub grub menu but we weren’t expecting anything else. The menu was as you would see elsewhere and they did have smaller portions for lunch which was ideal for us.

Food was brilliant! Massive portions and really tasty! Only negative was that our drinks took a while to come and arrived not long before food did.

Best mixed grill I had in years!! The chicken was so moist, steak wasn't fatty and the mushrooms were juicy. Normally you expect lots of grease but nothing. My mum had the sirloin which was cooked to perfection and her words "beautiful" Bar man was great and very welcoming. Would definitely return next time I am in the area.

Omg wide week dinners are fantastic but the Sunday dinner is banging out shines Tobys but a mile can't wait foe next Sunday kids meal is big enough for an adult as well omg highly recommend staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble please visit

Walked in with family,hadn't pre-booked,but there was no problem getting a table or ordering food.The food was served fairly quickly. The food tasted very nice,but only a few chips each. Puddings were average.

Visited today 29/12 very disappointed. Staff lacked any people skills and we're rude not a smile or any politeness off any of them! Steak was meant to be medium rare came well done. My burger was burnt and fries cold. Such a shame as we used to enjoy eating here,the place has changed and not for the better unfortunately.

awful experience. Went as a family on 27-12 for our twins 4th birthday. Staff were outside smoking and were rude when they had to come in to serve. Such an attitude. The other staff member was vaping inside infront of us! not even trying to hide it. Food was absolutely terrible, almost all of it was left. Expensive for such terrible service and food. Dont waste your money or time, the salad was old leaves. The chicken dry, chips awful frozen ones. Will Never go back.

Absolutely terrible. dont waste your money. Staff rude and clearly didnt want to be there, member of staff vaping whilst in the resteraunt and could easily be seen by us (a family with 3 children)! The food was awful, just a waste of money especially when the meal out was for our twins 4th birthday. Definitely wont be returning after tonight. (27-12)

Aweful 1st experience!! Staff very unattentive, dirty tea towels on the floor which were used to carry your food and the food was cold and very poor quality!

We have been coming to the caraway for the festive menu every year and every year it gets better and better. The staff are amazing and so pleasant. Our experience was fantastic. Thankyou x

Took my mum and aunty here for food after Xmas shopping, the food was fantastic all hot and well cooked, very good value for money and all the staff were pleasant and helpful will DEFINITLEY be coming back, thank you all

I arrived with quite a few people for a Christmas meal. The starter was good. The main was cold,and the staff seemed like we were simply an inconvenience. One of my friends went up and explained the food was cold and it was responded that it's our fault as we kept asking where the main was due to it taking a while. Surely if the main was rushed it would be hot or at least warm right? We did have puddings down to have but we ended up leaving before having anything. They did cut the price of our visit but I don't think it was fair the way staff were when we questioned our meal. Disappointed. Probably won't be going again.

Forced out of the house due to local large scale power-cuts after storms, The staff were very friendly allowing us to charge the phones as well as accommodate us at short notice, very welcoming to our 6yr old as well nothing was to much effort. This is what its all about local community pulling together when in need.

Went into the Caraway last Friday with a group of friends and was really impressed, the service was good and my Sirloin was absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked how I like, medium rare. Everyone enjoyed their meals definitely somewhere I would go again and would highly recommend.

Slow service, would not accept the blue light card when valid, dirty tables and poor attitude.

It has been a while since we came here to eat but wow what a difference, food was amazing, staff were welcoming and very friendly checking we were happy with our meals, the place looks great too, we will definitely come back soon and recommend anyone thinking about visiting to do it, you will not be disappointed!

Went for lunch on Sunday and it was absolutely lovely! Had a mixed grill and Sunday dinner for the Mrs, steak was cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend !

Booked for 33 people including 5 children under 5 years to eat Sunday afternoon to celebrate a birthday,excellent,fast service, pre- booked our meals. Very friendly staff. Would definately visit again.

Very dissapointed with this place. Tables were cleared but had not been wiped down after the previous customers. Food was OK and would have had better burgers and chips from McDonald's, and that says something. Salad in with burger was that old it had dried up 🫣 Was a long wait for food but was informed of this when ordering. Staff hanging around as if they weren't aware of their job start with helping with the long queue the one member of staff had at the till or even giving the tables a wipe down. Sadly we wont be returnuing and we do hope management will sort the issues.

Took the family for a meal, and from the moment we arrived the service was amazing, made to feel so welcome, food was lovly couldnt fault the chef at all. Thank you to the chef and the chap behind the bar.

Tonight I visited the restaurant with my family as a table of six and couldn’t be more complimentary of the manager who not only welcomed us in to the restaurant but also served us drinks, food and everything else all by himself. It was quite busy for a Tuesday evening and he was alone working other than the chef, serving all of the tables and doing other jobs such as cleaning down etc with such a positive and happy energy. Nothing was too much for him and not once did he give off any negative or stressful vibes. The food was served boiling hot & the service was 5*. Thank you very much!

We call here regularly now. Each time we do the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The menu is extensive and plenty to choose for everyone. The food is always tasty and affordable. This is why we come here. Keep up the good work guys.

Visited here ,coming from Swansea , Informed us gas was off so limited menu But didn’t disappoint,,GAS BACK ON ,so cooking on GAS Great atmosphere Great staff Really helpful and friendly CHILDREN LOVED THE PLAY AREA. VERY SAFE NOT A WASTED CHIP IN SITE CLEAN PLATES ALL ROUND PLUS DESERT ROB and Mikey ,really pleasant hosts We will revisit soon

Another lovely meal this time to introduce friends to the Caraway. They were impressed with the quality of their meals and the price. I will be returning soon for a family birthday and am looking forward to that too.

We have over the years had varying levels of service here but I have to say tonight was absolutely fantastic. We took our recently rescued dog for his first evening out in a restaurant atmosphere and could not fault the service at all! The food came quick and was lovely and hot. We ordered the BBQ wings for a grazer followed by a Cowboy burger (delightful!) and an 8oz sirloin steak. Both were absolutely delicious. We were thrilled to see there was also a dog menu so we ordered Rocco a sausage and burger it came in a non slip dog bowl which was very considerate considering the laminate floor! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience, we hope to be back with you soon! ☺️

Even though we booked a table for my birthday meal, on arrival we were told there was a 50minute wait on food. We ordered drinks and food, again informed about the waiting time, we were kept updated on time of food wait. Food arrival was shorter than expected and was very tasty. Wasn't impressed with dessert, but our overall experience, we were very pleased with our evening at The Caraway Carmarthen, Thank you

Solid. Had to move due to screeching kid, the kind of screeching scream that cuts through bank vaults, parents didn't give a toss obviously but not the establishments fault. Good food. Service ok. Atmosphere ok. It's a Marston's. Prices 10-15% too high imo.

Pre-booked a table for 12, was suggested we preordered our meals to avoid disappointment. We were far from disappointed, food arrived within 10 minutes of sitting. Service was perfect. Will definitely be returning.

Arrived with a minibus of special needs on a bank holiday weekend with no booking. Staff weren't panicked, they stayed cool and were very accommodating. Found us a large table, food arrived fast and everyone enjoyed their meal. Take my hat off to the guy behind the bar, he was brilliant.

Was picking up a keg from next door so booked a table for Sunday lunch. Food came quickly and was hot, beef was very soft and the rest was very good too. Peroni was very good and staff friendly, easy parking. Will come again, got to give credit where credit is due.

Food was good but had to wait a while. The place wasn’t busy but there were a few dirty tables and a few reserved tables was told as we entered by the lady behind the bar don’t sit on reserved tables so we found a little table in the corner with no plates on…Was very disappointed with the service, the female who served us made us feel very unwelcome will definitely not be returning…..

Popped in for a quick bite to eat after shopping. The burgers were lovely unfortunately it was the service that was a huge let down. Was served by a female who was rude and unhelpful when ordering, practically threw plates down on the table when food arrived and couldn't even look at us. We put it down to having a bad day however she appeared very helpful and polite to the table opposite to us. Such a let down because we spent the hour wondering what we had done to offend her. Won't bother visiting again!

Lovely food, efficient and friendly service, and great music. Also a fair bit for little’uns to do with an outside play park and a movie inside with colouring area and toys - though not many of the battery-operated toys actually worked, but that’s pretty standard. Recommend the burgers, veg chili and pizzas.

Staff extremely helpful. Explained they had a large party in and that food waiting times were slightly delayed. We ordered pudding at the same time as the main so we weren’t waiting for a longer than needed time. The food portions were more than adequate. The children, my partner and myself all enjoyed the food. I will definitely be back

The food took a while but it was worth it. The beef madras was delicious and so was the pizza.

Ordered 3 dinners. 3 dinners came out quick, hot and nicely done. Pudding x 3, came out just as nice. Staff helpful and we're always looking to tidy tables quite quickly. Toilets clean.

Caraway Carmarthen. Sirloin was grisly and hunters chicken was dry. Both in edible. We’re given our food not cutlery. Then weren’t asked if we wanted anything sauces butter for the jacket potato. No one came to ask if the food was ok. Then we waited for 25-30mins with the plates in front of us and they didn’t come to clean them away, I had to call them over. Explained about the service (lack of) and the poor quality of the food. The man who served us, said he had been busy, and then said ‘what are you saying I haven’t been busy’ to which I responded with - ‘I am not saying your not busy’. I explained the other person serving did ask everyone she served if they wanted anything and checked they were happy with the food, but you didn’t. I explained this is extremely poor service. To be told, you are just going to disagree with everything I say. I again explained I am explaining the food and service were extremely poor. No offer of any meaningful apology or compensation. If you go to the caraway try not to be served by the man with the grey long beard. He is extremely rude and needs to be trained in customer service.
