Morrisons Supermarket Cafe in Carmarthenshire

Unbelievable from ordering to the food. Didn't have any black pudding at 1130 am in the morning. Couldn't offer any alternative for this. But still expect you to pay full price! Even though they couldn't supply what they offer as a complete meal. Should be discounted or offer an alternative if its them who can't supply the food. Food took 35 minutes to arrive. Food was overcooked and undercooked. To say it was disappointment after such a long wait is putting it nicely. No wonder they offer free refills on coffee. It's something for you to do in the long wait for terrible food. Will not be returning for this poor experience.

Very average meal, not great quality, refillable coffee is a bonus.

sadly,short staffed,manager would say staff of sick,they cant keep staff,staff treated very badly,one staff member doing three peoples work,this cafe should be reported to health and safety,and secretly checked,machines not working for months,you cannot run a establishment with incompitant managers,MORRISONS GET YOUR MANAGEMENT SORTED OUT your losing lots of customers and money,,i feel sad for the remaining staff,,

om..g went for lunch with friends nobody at the counter hardly anyone in the cafe was told there will be half hour wait famous words at this store it was half one ordered fish chips no fish ordered chicken chips no chicken was offered a gressy breakfast which I declined my friends ordered I went without one had breakfast at lunch time it was disgusting dried up bacon sausage absolutely stone cold the other had pie mash the mash looked like it was a scooped out jacket potato lumpy pie was morrisons own was fine but this meal was also stone cold there were no less than 4 ppl behind the servery waited over half hour they definitely need a staff shake up pre covid this was a good cafe food if you can get any is disgusting shame

Never known anything like it, every time you go no matter how busy there is at least a 30-40 minute wait for any food! Fine dining Michelin star restaurants are knocking out some of the best food in the world to hundreds of customers and these clampets take longer to throw a few rashers of bacon on some bread! My mate Steve Aoki also said he found a pubic hair in his omelette!

One of the worst lunches I have had in a long time, there were 3 of us and food for two of us came about 20minutes apart the 3rd lunch never arrived. The hot drinks machines were not working. Staff were not very helpful. The floor was not clean and the cutlery needed to be washed properly. On the whole not an experience I will be repeating.

Waiting 40 minutes now for a breakfast and still no sign of it, absolutely ridiculous time to wait. Finally arrived after 45 and was very disappointed. Won't be back again.

Many times I have been to the cafe in Morrisons Carmarthen. Sadly it has always been chilly barely heated barely any staff, untidy and hot food taken off the menu on one occasion not even 2 o'clock! However my most recent experience in July I actually ate a hot lunch as food was still being prepared thankfully. Fish and chips were delicious sadly it needed more tlc in cafe area had a leakage from hot water dispenser of hot drinks no one had yet cleaned up and barriered it off so I told an older lady customer to mind the spill by the cutlery counter. The tables were mostly left untidy with used plates. A regular staff member to clean up tables and replenish cutlery is definitely needed. All in all it needs more care attention and staffing.

never come back again. staff kept us waiting while they were busy in the kitchen. first till operator didn’t have a clue how to work the till had to call someone else. food meal deal totally misleading. cups teapot and spoons all stained and outdated. food took ages. only beans on toast !!! never again

Called to buy a few items from Morrisons this morning and decided to buy a coffee whilst waiting for the next bus. A member a staff appeared immediately but it was necessary to use the vending machine. I must be totally honest it is probably the worst cup of coffee I have ever tasted. Not sure if there was a problem with the machine. Sorry Morrisons but that was my experience earlier today 👎

Had poached egg on toast which was fine. Waited to be served and wasn’t acknowledged or made priority whilst the member of staff filled out her timesheet and finally came over to serve us and quickly shot away again after. The self service hot drinks area was a mess and then we realised we had no teabags in our pots, waited again for ages before she then said should be in there and gave us new pots with no apology. There were no forks or tea spoons. When my eggs came out I asked for a fork as the tray was empty and he didn’t say anything checked for himself and refilled it without an apology or even walk the fork over to me. I stirred my tea with a dessert spoon. Won’t be back here again, staff look like they can’t be bothered and are rude.

Coffee machines rarely work properly, menu choice not always available. Shortage of staff does not help the situation. Standards have gone down and prices are obviously up. This is not what Morrissons stood for before, if the new owners think this acceptable they are sadly mistaken.

What a terrible experience! Queued for 5 minutes and ordered two coffees and two bowls of soup only to be told soup was off the menu as they only had a limited menu due to only two members of staff working in the cafe, one in the kitchen and one on the till. Told other hot food had a minimum wait of 35 minutes. What a joke!!! Due to my own busy schedule made do with prepacked sandwiches instead. Staff looked fed up and were moaning about the situation which didn't create a good atmosphere to eat your lunch in. Won't be coming back that's for sure, next time I'll just get a meal deal from the supermarket and eat it in the car which is probably cheaper and a lot more relaxing! Morrisons Cafe you really do need to get your act together!😞

Arrived for lunch 12.15 8th Nov was greeted with basically no menu although it did look as though there was a problem in the kitchen . We did ask what was available but the attitude of what staff was there was not very inviting and it was a can't be bothered attitude. Was awful. We've eaten there many times but never again . Not even any explanations. Sorry for this review as I don't normally complain . But she could have been more helpful and polite

Only wanted two bowls of soup and was told there was none due to staff shortages, ridiculous! Just had sandwiches and they were just OK. Recommend to eat elsewhere.

I went to Carmarthen Morrison's, and once again there aren't enough staff on the tills. People were moaning as it was Saturday and only 2 tills open. Then went to self service, made a mistake, and told to wait for a assistant, yes no one came, so went back to queuing up. My partner and I agreed we won't be coming back

Thought I would call into cafe this morning to have breakfast what a mistake,there were only six people in cafe and I was told by lady behind counter it would be 45 minutes before I got my breakfast too add the coffe machine and no hot water.people were asking for a refund the place is a shambles.I asked to speak to the manager who stated that they had staff sickness this morning but looking at reviews on this site this has been going on for a long time the cafe is a joke.

Terrible slow service. Staff looked like they didn't want to be there . Avoid at all costs. TERRIBLE.

Waited 56!!!! minutes to be served a cooked breakfast. There were at least a third of the tables empty. Staff seemed to be wandering backwards and forwards not knowing where they were going! Get rid of the kitchen staff who obviously aren't used to cooking outside a domestic environment!

Popped in for a cooked breakfast. Waited at the counter for over 10 minutes being totally ignored by the one member of staff who was expediting the cooked meals. Back and forth she went, several times, failing to even acknowledge our presense. Ironically, the words "Happy to Help" were on the back of her polo shirt, because she didn't smile once! Maybe they were short staffed? But a "Sorry to keep you waiting, I'll be with you as soon as I can," would probably have secured our custom. As it was, we walked out without ordering.

Lush food every time, do wish they had the self service screen like Llanelli Morrisons cafe but otherwise very good, definitely recommend!

Pretty good for a supermarket cafe. Only problem is they tend to have a limited availability of menu items. We've had a fair few experiences of them running out of a few of the options around 1 or 2pm which is disappointing. Other than that it's nice food and friendly staff.

Went for the breakfast today, really happy to see vegan options available now! But...only one member of staff front of house in a busy cafe on a Saturday morning, taking orders at the till, clearing tables,cleaning and organising seating as well as taking out the food, no wonder our food was cold when she finally had a moment to bring it to us, the poor woman was doing the job of three people!

Food good and tasty spoke to like a 5 year old by a member of staff who barked “ go out the ether way” our last visit here

Popped in here this morning for a couple of bits around 8am. No tills open so I had ro use self scan which I hate as I always need assistance. And guess what? Had to wait 5 minutes for someone to finally attend. Then to rub salt in the wounds the member of staff who finally turned up was beyond rude, no apologies or anything close to one and then when I dared to try and interact with her and make light of the situation I think it was a grunt i received. I wish i had gone to Tesco in reflection, staff are always attentive there and not rude. You really need to up your game Morrisons. Disgusting service.

If you like cold bendy hash browns, reheated overcooked bacon and eggs, cold black pudding then you will be okay.

Can't fault the quality of breakfast at great prices. However it is concerning that the cake counter has no screen and left exposed. This is not good considering the current pandemic situation, let alone countless other possible germs and bacteria. They've put up screens between tables yet the cake counter is fully open, cakes not even wrapped in film. Also the tables were sticky and dirty, clearly not being wiped regularly.

I came to this cafe, and the service was poor, there was no mugs to get coffees, or sugar. When I got a mug the coffee was cold. I ordered a all day breakfast and the chips where cold no condiments where given. And there was a 30 minute wait.

Always friendly and helpful staff. Food arrived in good time and the prices are reasonable.

Sometimes you may have to wait a while but the food is freshly cooked. My only criticism is that very often the drinks dispenser is empty and needs filling up.

We had a lovely meal with our grandchildren the only disappointment was the were out of sponge pudding

very good food freshly prepared and served with a smile. Coffee is fine but the machiones need constant attention and do not always get it at peak times. That said very few if any cafe`s serve such good food at the price. In a radius of 20 miles very few can compete.

Half term kids eat free special advertised by morrisons in UK. Dont think they told the carmarthen branch as staff didn't have a clue what the offer was even when it's on over 15 posters in the restaurant and a massive A1 sized image by the till area. Glad we complained as the excuse was it's the terms and conditions.... then why are the company promoting it for half term???...in need of staff training, poor management, poor delivery staff can only do what their told :(

We stopped in on the way back from Ireland and had an Excellent breakfast. Great Value, freshly cooked. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Will stop in again next time we're passing!

Not overly busy during our visit, but at least one member of staff short of delivering a half decent service. The food was what you expected quality wise. Upstaged by other local facilities at the moment. Lots of room to improve.

That lasagne was absolutely lush. Very tasty and authentic Italian taste with delicious cheesy top. I definitely be back for more .

Very short staffed,waited ages to be served, they got my order wrong and air-conditioning on full blast so tea and food gets cold straight away.

Saw an advert for two breakfasts for £12 as advertised nationally. It's on every weekend and is good value for what is advertised.Unfortunately we didn't eat a crumb as when we asked the staff first said they didn't have the elements, despite serving it in the background, then said they are doing roast dinners now, it was 11 o'clock and the breakfast deal apparently runs to 11.30! Then they said we can't have it because they had no croissants, but the in store bakery was full of them. Then they said they didn't have enough staff. The cafe was barely half full and no one in the queue.We scratched our heads and left.

The cafe isn't outstanding, the food is reasonable the staff are friendly and helpful but it is handy when shopping and you feel like something to eat

On way back from appointment in Prince Phillip Hospital Llanelli,decided lunch in Morrisons Supermarket in Carmarthen seemed like good idea.Apart from the fact it took nearly half an hour between queuing up,paying for the meal and it arriving,it was all good.Really good value,£5.50 was the price for a nice piece of battered fish,plenty of chips and mushy peas.Can get busy at times,but if you are prepared to be patient it's worth the wait.

Staff are great but never any food you want. Coffee machines are often broken Service was very unprofessional one guy had his bottom crack showing as his pants were half down his trousers. Not one member of management said anything. We were shocked to say the least. Not good if that is the standard they accept

Food was ok. Dont particularly like microwaved bacon, beans and the like. Still it's ok for a quick coffee or snack. Menu needs updating as they no longer do the toasted sandwich. You have to purchase a prepared one and then they toast it for you. Rubbish. Staff also need to keep on top of cleaning the tables. So many tables had plates and cups left on them when customers left. We had a meal opposite a table that had been vacated but left in a mess. 30 minutes later it was still a mess. Despite quite a few staff wandering past the table with empty hands!

Not enough staff for a Sunday. Coffee could be hotter. When our breakfast did arrive it could have been warmer. Definitely not up to the there normal standard.

10.30 for breakfast only 2 overworked staff having to work at the till,serv food and clean up.come on you supervisors can't you see you have a problem.

Standard cafe, you get what you pay for. Tables could do with clearing more often, but has amazing disabled facilities, plenty of room for wheelchairs and staff are always friendly and helpful

Me, my partner and son came to Morrisons cafe, Carmarthen, and I very quickly remembered why I never eat there anymore. The staff were friendly and service was good, but the the tables were dirty and the tray stands were full of dirty trays. We even picked up a very dirty knife which we almost used. The breakfast was greasy, which could be the reason that by the time we got home, my partner became ill with a very bad tummy and terrible wind.Will not be returning unfortunately

One of the better places to have a good hearty breakfast in Carmarthen.Not only is it great value but the quantity and food is good. Sat at a table where I could see the cook doing the food and she was genuinely running around the kitchen trying to get things cooked. Her colleague at the counter was similarly working at a furious pace as the place was very busy being pre Xmas. Felt really sorry for them being so short handed whilst Morriston felt it necessary to have a staff member or in the car park which was far from full directing cars to empty car spots. They needed him in the the kitchen.Despite this the good was served up in a timely manner and hour so well done to the guys running the restaurant great job

I often call in Morrisons cafe for a coffee but I would never order a meal because there's always a long waiting time even when there's food available. There seems to be a high turnover of staff, maybe because they are trying to save money? Poor staff serve, cook, clean tables and deal with complaints. Good be better

My wife and I stopped off at Morrisons both en route to, and returning from a short break near Tenby. On the first occasion, I had their excellent fish chips and peas; the fish was cooked in a crisp, light batter and the whole meal was fresh and piping hot. My wife's Jalapeno veggie burger meal was equally good. On the return trip, we selected their all-day veggie breakfast, which again was hot, freshly cooked and tasty. The staff are very pleasant, helpful and friendly. The seating area is modern, bright and clean. If you want a quick, basic-but-tasty and great value meal (about £5 each), you can't beat it.
