Went here as a family of four. Plenty of choice on the menu, even my fussy daughter was happy. The food was great, the service was great, the place was very clean and tidy and the staff never stopped. Very impressed, for a pub chain towards the cheaper end of the market, They're punching well above their weight. Will definitely be eating here again.

Had a meal at Cannon. Food was OK but it was so cold in there. Very uncomfortably cold so could not relax. Left as soon as eaten meal. Will not visit again in cold weather.

One of the best steaks I have had in a very long time, cooked to perfection it was simply devine. Staff very friendly and helpful, all in all a 10/10 dining experience, I will be back for more.

Mid week family meal out. Service by kat and Kayleigh was incredible couldn't of asked for better service.

Go for a beer and food with your family, enter your car registration details into the bar-top screen for Euro Carparks, sit down, have a nice pint with your family, order food and enjoy your day / evening right!....... WRONG. £340 later I have two parking tickets for two separate visits to my "local" pub. £340... Thats right ladies and gentlemen. I am now being haunted by a debt collector because I went to my local for a pint, entered the details at the bar BUT STILL GOT 3 Tickets. However, wait for this...... Its gets better. The landlord said "I can cancel one ticket but not the other two out of good will" So you can cancel £70 but can't cancel £340. there goes my food and drinks tokens for the next 3 - 4 months. False economy. So, I thought I would elevate the issue to M and B's HQ (M & B own Sizzling pubs and other brands under the same umbrella) I had another black and white message that come through from head office saying "the pub cancelled one ticket, they can't do the other two" I ENTERED MY DETAILS INTO THE MACHINE ON ALL OCCASIONS! can there not be something like human error or computer error tied into all this somewhere!! ITS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING . My local, the pub where we go for a pint in the garden on a Sunday, Or some food when family visit, or pop in for socialising. my family have already drove passed this pub several times and said, there is no way we will go in there again. If only I could share with you all the receipts for drinks and food I have spent in this LOCAL over the last 6 months. You will see from my other reviews I'm a fair guy, I do like to spend time out with family and social evenings, If I had parked my car and left it there without spending money I would fully understand, but I have all the proof I need on my card receipts to show I was a customer, so why oh why can't you change these parking fines which will ruin me financially for social events for the next few months. M&B, Sizzling Pubs, The Cannon Pub, you should be ashamed of yourselves. If I get a response to this on here, it will probably be "well the parking company will only let us cancel one ticket in good faith" well get a different parking company to manage your spaces... Its an absolute disgrace.

Friendly polite staff nice atmosphere and great meals.

Had a lovely meal, waited 30 minutes because they were very busy but the food was piping hot and very good, the service was exceptional! We will definitely be going again!

Brilliant. Just brilliant. Lovely friendly staff, top quality food, very fair prices, nice building and atmosphere. The absolute only negative thing I could say is I wish the desert menu was bigger but I'm really scraping the barrel there! Fed myself, partner and our infant son for just over £30 including drinks! Thanks team!

Cannon pub Worksop has been closed for refurbishment.So we thought we give it a try because the last time we went in it was not a great meal and the place looked a bit rundown.But wow looks great inside and we had the 2 for £11.75 and it was lovely

Had Ann excellent breakfast, can also take the dog, Zak who served us is great fun and nothing was too much for him

Thought we would try somewhere different for dinner and decided on here. Great choice food and drink excellent. Good price and quality would recommend. When time allows looking to pop back for a breakfast as the menu looks good.

Returned for a second time after good food here last month, well apart from the coffee machine being turned off before 9pm! Good: Clean and food very tasty. Bad: Waited for around 30 minutes to be served as there was only one barmaid and one food server. This was to a full house and two bar areas. Ordered two drinks and two mains, which were very tasty. Then I ordered two mini puddings with coffee. The coffee arrived without the puddings. When we had nearly finished our coffee, I returned to the bar to ask where the puddings were and were told they were dealing with another table. Isn't that the purpose of a restaurant?? I do not blame the two members present last night but they were woefully understaffed. One regular even poured himself a drink from the wrong side of the bar to help out! The table next to us had 10 pint glasses left on it after the customers had left. Another very annoying thing is the horrendous lighting outside the pub, which I expect can be seen from space. Maybe the money spent on lighting up the pub like a lighthouse would be better spent on more staff?! The Ashley down the road will gain from last night's bad service. The Cannon is not a lighthouse but if it carries on like this, it will certainly be on the rocks...

One of the employees (the fatter one) is very unpleasant and rude. It creates an unpleasant atmosphere, which makes people not want to come there. The food is very good but please change this guy

First visit here to The Cannon at Worksop. Lovely atmosphere and food was top notch and great value for money. Ordered on the app which was easy. Waiting time was around half an hour for food but worth it. Would definitely return.

I ordered seasoned chips, I got plain fries. I ordered side salad, I got in it onion that was not even properly peeled, a piece of cucumber and few leaves. I ordered nuggets for little one, they were overcooked and looked like microwaved as well. Waited 1+ hours to deliver this horrible food

Went here for the first time recently on a week night , although it was busy plenty places to sit and was served by friendly staff at the bar , had mozzarella sticks with chilli dips for starter & we had the Greek Burger & chicken burger , food was nice , place was clean , staff nice & helpful , would go back

Well, not happy with this place last time we came but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and try again, stupid me. I hate onions and instead of sizzling onions and onion rings I asked if i could have a few peas. Guess what the answer was no. So two meals and four the next night were rejected all for a few peas. Come on Sizzling what's wrong with you. Still, The Ashley down the road were pleased.

I don’t mind ordering at the bar, but I don’t appreciate being told that I can get my own condiments when my meal is served. What’s next? Will I be asked to wash my own dishes??

First visit whilst staying with friends. Unfriendly bar staff, one of our party was served a very cloudy pint but nobody was willing to sort out the issue which led to our friend waking out!! Not the kind of service I expect from a service industry!!

Only found this as we had a dining out card to use so googled "place's in worksop" where we could use it and this popped up 😁 Will definitely be back next time we go to worksop

Greeted with a smile at the bar on arrival and shown to our table ,think this gentleman was the manager very professional!! The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing the pub was not that busy but if it was there is good space between the tables. The menu is extensive and a drinks menu to ,good value if you have children to with good deals . Also a specials board , orderd at the bar and our order was taken swiftly no hanging around just how I like it . Our meal came in a very acceptable time frame with a lovely greeting from the waitress. Asked if there was anything we needed which was nice and professional. The meals came piping hot and plentiful, well presented and very tasty. I had stake medium rare and it was cooked to perfection!! My partner was very pleased with her meal again well presented and Hot. A few minutes into our meal the waitress came over to ask if everything was OK and to satisaction whi it was ,nice touch . VERDICT would we go again definitely the service to the eating experience cannot fault so I would highly recommend!! Thank you to all the staff you made our visit amazing!!

It’s the best pub in our area. Staff are brilliant. They are welcoming and friendly. The food is consistently good. Never had a bad experience in the pub always a pleasure to go and my friends would agree. The site is clean and organised and the pool table is great. Truly a great pub.

Great afternoon pre Christmas drinks with the family not a fan of the prebooking though takes a bit of spontaneity out of things you can't just pop in for a drink and sit down as the place was full of empty tables that have been reserved for later on in the afternoon

Waited over 45 minutes for food on a quiet Monday afternoon! (Was not made aware of any wait time) I brought this to staff attention and didn’t even get an apology. Then my food arrived cold ! Really really poor

Staff and service are great, really friendly and welcoming. The food is served in good time and always seems fresh and well cooked.

First time in Cannon since redecoration, it was a nice vibe. Good to see plenty in there as it hand dwindled in numbers in the past year or 2. Staff were great. Food was bang on. Not that I'd had a fall out with the landlord before, but he seems a different person in ways... for the good! He was engaging and up beat, had control of his staff in a good efficient way! I hope they carry this on as it could put the pub back on the map!

This was our first visit after the refurbishment and we were so disappointed. We waited for over one hour for our food before asking a waitress if she could check up on our order, another ten minutes she said then whey it came. Later the manager came to the next table and apologised to them for their long wait offering them either a gift card or free puddings. We were just gobsmacked as we had been waiting longer (they came in way after us) and nothing for us.

Newly renovated nice and clean good staff, food nice and excellent service.

We love our local and we are glad you are back open. The refurb in general looks great. Staff friendly as always. A couple of things though - too many tables now crammed in and too close together. Not liking the new rule that you can’t sit anywhere to enjoy your drinks, particularly after you’ve just eaten. Other visitors clearly drunk being too loud and offensive with language. Some of the new paintwork damaged already because you’ve crammed too many tables in. Sauces could do with being back on tables or at least being asked when it’s so busy

Was a good visit, never been before. Ordered the food and drinks via the app. Was waiting a while because some error with coming through to them which was counter productive using the table order service for quicker ordering. Can't fault the food, was well cooked and presentable. Atmosphere was good and was busy.

The pub has been refurbished, beautiful decor. Staff as friendly as ever and the service is still as amazing as always. New addition to the menu t-bone steak, what's not to like!

We visited this whilst in the area, to decide whether we would like Sunday Lunch.We had a cuppa and dessert, young lady who served us very nice.But beware you have to register you vehicle, although I saw the signs outside never saw anywhere to do this and completely forgot never the less I then received parking fine for £80 !!! I appealed but still had £50 to pay, Most expensive snack ever. I do think as it was obvious we wern't local the staff could have mentioned this. Pleased we decided against Sunday lunch .And car park was so untidy, crisp packets empty cans etc.

Good food. Had a nice steak and chips. Not overcooked and was tasty. Nice little beer garden to sit in and have a pint.

Really good meal,our steaks were cooked perfectly,it was lunchtime when we went so it was a bit quiet and some of the starters were not available but a nice meal.

Our meal was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Always welcoming, pool table for teenagers to use, baby friendly, changing facilities, we also have a 6 month old. Didn’t eat on this visit but whenever we do go out for food, cannon is usually our first choice to take family. Good menu, tasty…. Served by great staff and always pleasant!

Shocking service, very rude staff, would not recommend it to anyone. Decided to go down for some food with my partner and children never experienced customer service like it.

Just had a pint of stones bitter.Not many pubs do it.

We ordered food and it still hadn't arrived over an hour later. I think they are very short staffed but we should have been advised about the long wait times before ordering. In the end we had to get our money back. I can't rate the quality of the food as it never arrived but the service wasn't great and the place could do with updating.

Great little pub with good valued food and beer.. also the pool table takes wireless payment which is always a bonus.

Went for a birthday meal with my son in law, Great food and drinks were great to! The staff were friendly and helpful and meals came quickly and piping hot! Ladies room was clean and tidy aswell as the restaurant and bar. Will be going back again.

Lovely place. Staff friendly. Lady in bright yellow/green shift was really helpful and patient. Jerk chicken skewers were lovely, cooked to perfection!
