Pleasant and cosy atmosphere. Good place for a drink or a quick meal.

Couple of restaurants turned us away because of my Sister's Dog but not The Cambridge Tap. They joyfully accepted Winston our dear English Cocker Spaniel. They even gave him water and treats. Besides the fact that they are very pleasant. The food in this pub is really good. The wings are great. However the beer is EXCEPTIONAL! I fell in love with Cambridge and this place are one of the components why.

Always a nice time but would be nice if the staff were a bit more engaging or would provide table service. It's a bit of a fusion between a nice bar and a standard pub.

Very disappointing food, fish was extremely overcooked. Unfortunately we were in a hurry so didn't have time to complain or send it back.

We had a great time at first here, the staff were really friendly and it was a wonderful vibe, until that is the music gradually got turned up, a few times. When I looked around it was clear that there is no dance floor, or anyone dancing, but instead everyone was standing around and talking I couldn't understand why the music was up so loud.

I've frequented this bar several times and consistently enjoyed their expertly crafted cocktails, priced at a reasonable 2 4 £14 until 8 pm on Fridays. The addition of fresh fruit, even in the water, adds a delightful touch. The spacious seating, both downstairs and upstairs, has made finding a table a breeze. However, my dining experience left something to be desired. We opted for two types of chicken wings and buttermilk chicken strips, priced at £8.25 each for four wings per dish. While the wings were sizable, they were mostly bone, and the chicken strips were overdone to the point of being burnt. Spending £24 on these dishes and still feeling hungry was disappointing, making it less favourable in terms of value for money. Despite this, I'd recommend considering their all-you-can-eat wing special on Wednesdays if you're a wing enthusiast. Overall, the bar's ambience and cocktails are noteworthy, but improvements to the food quality would enhance the overall experience.

Staff were really rude. Cocktails were not great!! Had to change a Mai Tai for a glass of Prosecco as undrinkable so didn't want the chance of another cocktail. Wasn't offered the difference in price back which was wrong. Girl who served me was very rude and abrupt. Didn't even apologise!!

First time in the Cambridge tap. We arrived around 6pm on Saturday The whole place was extremely loud for so early in the evening by the time we left they added Lou's music to the small space, personally found it all over whelming. Mad worse by sitting by a table who were all vaping in the bar. I didn't eat so didn't mark the food although the menu looks great

Called in on Saturday afternoon for a bite to eat. Burgers were great. However the music was far too loud, we couldn't chat at all. Very distracting.

The Cambridge Tap exceeded all expectations! Exceptional food, delightful staff, and an impressive drink selection make it a standout in Cambridge. A solid 5-star experience!

Can’t even make a simple cocktail, the taste of bleach is over powering and the staff were extremely rude would not recommend going there!

Revisiting Cambridge for the day & a friend recommended to stop at the Cambridge Tap, glad we did as it has a great atmosphere, friendly staff with quick service and tasty food. Will definitely come back next time we visit!

NOT RECOMMENDED!!! We came on a 1 day trip to Cambridge, only had 8 hours and had to weight 2 hours for Simple Nachos, and 2 wraps!! I think that shows complete unprofessionalism and the staff was gossiping among themselves rather than getting the order made quicker. Would NOT Recommend it, come only if you’ve all the world’s time to waste!!!!!

Extremely rude members of staff. They wouldn’t serve me, a 23 years old adult, a mocktail because I didn’t have my ID. According to them, they can’t serve mocktails to anyone without an ID as there may be alcoholic cross contamination? She also told me that it’s misleading as it looks like a real cocktail, and if I don’t have my ID, I can’t have it? She’s currently looking over at my friend and I, giving us dirty looks. Very unprofessional, I would like to speak to the manager.

Mulled wine is just terrible. No tasty and expensive for this price. Seems mixed with some water or a very very chip wine. No recommended!!!!

Good place to chill in with good beer!!

Had lunch here, reasonably priced menu. Good friendly service. Surprisingly, there were free tables at 12.30pm on Saturday but towards 1.30pm it got quite full. Would eat here again.

Didn't feel like a classical pub, more like restaurant. Large choice of burgers of really good quality. Choice of beer and ale was rather standard, would be great to see more local ale.

Used to be good, drink prices went up, food quality got worse. I’ve ordered the same sandwich 3 times and gotten 3 different menu items. Why do you need to turn the music up every 3 minutes… this isn’t a club. The service is still good but it’s not worth the time. Revolution is right next door… just go there instead.

Arrived around 6pm, sat for less than 10 minutes and left due to the music being extremely loud. A couple next to me also left the place pretty quickly due to the music volume, judging by some of the other reviews you've had regarding the music volume you seem to be reluctant to fix this so I'll just avoid the the place in the evenings. Another thing I noticed was pretty much every single table was covered in empty glasses and nobody was around to collect them either.

These burgers are best in town!

It's nice enough but the music is loud, even early evening so it isn't a great place to catch up over a drink. Probably is a good place to go later in the night

A great place for drinks with a nice atmosphere but we were disappointed with the food. We had chilli nachos which seemed to have been frozen and microwed and not even stirred properly before being put onto the nachos. The waffles were good but were just waffles and ice cream, not sure where the Oreos were!

Went with my family for the first time. My son said they were the best curly fries he has ever had. We loved the food, and our waitress Emily was quick and friendly.

I was fooled by the name. Every tap place I’ve seen was a free house. Euston, Harrogate, Aldgate Tap you name it all free houses. Not this one. It’s a McMullen pub. I’m not a fan of their beers or the fact they’ve subverted this name. There were no guest beers other than later. The guy serving was first rate, but the food was Mum’s gone to Iceland. The cod goujons were fused into one amorphous mass. Five star service. 2 star food and drink.

Lively, "trendy" place. Spent the evening upstairs. Decent music, spent the evening on some half decent craft lager. Recommended

We decided to give it a go here after not finding a place to have dinner. The place looked decent and tidy. We were greeted at the entrance by a very friendly staff who helped us regarding my girlfriends intolerances. Once seated we enjoyed the atmosphere while waiting for the food. I got a hamburger with maple syrup and bacon and my girlfriend had fish and chips. We received frickles as a substitute for the mushy peas and we loved it! Wow, that was something new for us. Loved those battered fried gherkins! The prices are fair and the services great! Would recommend anyone to try it and convince yourselves. Definitely you won't regret it. With the next occasion we won't hesitate to re-pay them a visit. Many thanks to the staff for making our stay so enjoyable!

Having celiac disease means eating out is generally a nightmare but went in here today and have not been this happy in months. I was given a large varied gluten free menu and ordered the burger with dirty fries (which warrented a little happy dance). OMG it was beautiful and not feeling like I was treated differently from the others in the party was the best feeling ever. I Will definitely return here and would 100% recommend this place to anyone that needs gluten free meal. Staff were amazing and the whole place had a lovely friendly atmosphere

Spontaneous lunch here while shopping with some friends. Had the bacon chicken wings with sweet potato fries. Was delicious and I don't usually like wings.

Fantastic pub with great food, seating and atmosphere. Excellent range of vegan and vegetarian as well as all the pub staples. Drinks menu is extensive, fun range of cocktails at a reasonable price. Toilets upstairs but excellent. Highly recommend plus air conditioning for hot days!! What more could you want. Enjoy

Super fun bar. Great interior to set the vibe and explore. There’s tons of activities like happy hour and trivia night. The HH mojito was really good, but my friends drink was a little bitter for her taste. The bartender was super nice and helped her get it right. Would definitely recommend stopping in for a great HH experience. The bar had a ton of great veg/vegan options but we weren’t eating.

Only had one pint at this place. It feels more like a place to eat than just drink with friends. Not the biggest selection of ales. The food looked very good and there are enough vegetarian options. Place was clean and very pleasant.

Visited this establishment today. Ordered drinks, dirty fries and prawns. Waited half an hour still no food even though the pub wasn't that busy. Enquired if the food was coming soon and was told a couple of minutes. The food arrived shortly prawns were hot fries were cold/warm at best. Returned the food to the bar and asked if the kitchen could warm the fries up. Bar staff were apologetic but when returned the fries were still cool/warm at best. Decided to give up. Visited the bathroom before we left, toilet seat broken and sink blocked. Would not return.

Very poor service. Cocktails wernt made correctly as per menus and food was dry. This was our second time here and it was poor compared to the first.

My friends and I went to The Cambridge Tap while visiting from Norwich. We found the staff so friendly and very efficient. I left my scarf there by accident and I rang them when I got Home. All staff I spoke to were so helpful and not only did they find my scarf they sent it back to my address in Norwich. Thank you to the staff for your kindness, we will definitely be back. Dissapointed with the lack of beer options - Cambridge tap would indicate lots of different beer but sadly there wasn't. The bar itself was really nice though - even ended up trying a cocktail 🍸😊

Brilliant cocktails and amazing interior design. I love that every table is unique. They have 2 for £12 cocktails instead of 2 for 1 which is slightly annoying as you don't save as much money but it's still a pretty decent deal. The other reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because they don't bring the drinks to the table, so if you are two people having passionfruit martinis that come with shots of prosecco you have to take two journeys. I don't like that this increases the risk of spiking.

The food and drinks were good, though they were out of stock of fish and chips, and they don't do mobile orders / table service.

We just stopped for a drink but were fooled by the name of the place, not many beers on tap to choose from. Place was ok, not too loud but it was still early in the evening

Had a fantastic evening here. Went in for drinks and food. Service was fantastic. Could not decide what to eat so went for a selection of small plates and sharers. Food was amazing. Hot and tasty. The shooters were also fantastic and great value at 4 for £12. Overall I would highly recommend.

A verry Nice bar.whit a classic look.during the day you van enjoy good food and drinks.and ofcourse the famous games in the corner. And in the weekend u can enjoy the good music. A bit pricey but deff worth it

Severely Understaffed, appeared to me a new trainee on the bar, can't say i blame him for being slow as we were all once a trainee but the fact there's nobody else to cover for his mistakes is a bit poor. We waited 15 minutes for 2 ciders and a long island iced tea, the poor music choice made sitting in near unbearable, the music was too loud to be able to talk to people next to me. No manager in sight and it's clear to see that the staff suffered because of this. I scanned the app but it did not work. Very disappointed, will not be coming back

Went to the tap with a few friends on Friday, was a very unique venue with friendly staff offering some good food and great cocktails. Aaron in particular was really helpful recommending good to try drinks. Will definitely come back!
