The smell of food brought us in. We had an unexpected evening of good food, a few drinks and entertainment. Elvis had a good wiggle😁😁

Nice welcome from the Landlady as we arrived. Lovely clean pub, nice aromas from the kitchen and a great little beer garden and car park to the rear. Dog friendly 👍 They have a Pub Quiz each Wednesday evening that we'll try this week.

When it's this hot and pubs are so busy it's really difficult to find somewhere that you can eat quickly, and the service here was surprisingly fast, and incredibly tasty too. Easy to get to, parking, shade from the sun and affordable menu, highly recommended

We went to a reggae DJ evening.The staff were fiendly and welcoming and the sound system was excellent.Its a pleasant place to spend the evening.

Frustrating. We had booked a table for 1pm today, which was accepted. Due to open at 12, but when I arrived the pub was in darkness. No communication that it was closed.

Went there the last week of 2023 with the family. The venue was rather empty. We had the lasagne, lamb kebab, pork sausages, crab cake, and the Transylvanian sausages. The food was sadly not satisfactory. The meat-containing dishes was not fresh and had an off-taste. The lasagne and crab cakes were obviously reheated. The portion sizes not appropriate for the high prices charged. While the staff was friendly enough, I would not recommend anybody to eat there.

I Went there with some friends to watch football. We bought drinks. Before we had finished our drinks the employers, came to us saying we need to keep ordering otherwise they'll kick us out. We said no and they kept insisting and complaining about why we don't order more drinks. Eventually we did buy more because they were getting rude and aggressive in their words. Terrible Pub, AVOID. There's one not far away go to that one. The regulars said that this happens all the time at the pub because they are doing terribly business wise. I can see why they are.

Went there with some friends so they could watch football. W got some soft drinks and sat there, the employers, two of them came to us after about half an hour asking if we want alcohol. Absolutely the best place I eat in a long time. Everything is fresh and done in what I will call "as home made". We will definitely go back and bring friends with us. If you love traditional romanian food or just good food in general this is the place to go. Wish there were more stars to rate ...

Don’t eat here - very disappointing We had lunch on Friday 25th Sept. The food was poor. Nice enough pub and staff member was a friendly fella; but there are better motorway services and roadside vans for food.

6 of us had a day out in Cambridge and wanted to have a meal before heading home. All restaurants in Cambridge were busy and a pit pricey so we decided to stop on the way out of Cambridge. We came across The Duches, and as reports on Trip Advisor were positive we decided to give it a try. Very warm welcome from the man behind the bar and the menu looked good with plenty of choice. Our meals came out without any delays and all were well cooked and served hot and fresh. A nice touch was the barman coming to ask if everything was OK with our meals...not something that happens very often when eating at a pub.

I went here for lunch with my parents on Friday. We all had food and a drink and sat out in the spacious beer garden. I had the the special beef burger - it was lovely . My Dad had the gammon and really enjoyed it, my Mum liked the lamb Shank too. Food was brought out to us and we could enjoy the sun. A lovely pub, great food and friendly staff. Definitely come back

A lovely pub that was perfect for a Mother's Day meal with the whole family. The staff were helpful and friendly and there was a nice ambience, nice tables covers and decorated. The food was lovely, especially the roast beef. Definetly will come back again.

Had the starter as a prawn cocktail which was okay, Then had main which was mushroom strogonoff, Which was very little mushroom strogonoff and the garlic bread was just a baguette with loads of garlic, Which made it too much garlic, I would never come back, Waste of money

Food was OK but nothing special, small portions for the price. The garlic bread was a frozen baguette which you can buy from any supermarket. Drinks expensive and service charge added. Also it was cold in there!

Saaie tent, misschien omdat er weinig mensen waren. Dat kan zo zijn omdat het een donderdag in december is, maar ik denk omdat het niet zo gezellig is. Ze gingen ook een uur eerder dicht dan de website aangeeft. Als kers op de taart nog koud ook binnen. Voor mij geen 2e bezoek.

The bartender/waitress (who I think is named Katy) was wonderful. She talked us through everything and really took care of everything once she figured out we were complete newbies. Absolutely recommend.

Ordered pint Birra Moretti - got significantly less of a pint. Thought it might be a one off, second pint the tide had gone out on too. Postmix was out of order so had a bottle of coke, had to ask barman for a glass - really? Ordered Hudson burger £14.50 and Chicken Salad £11 (no description of salad, it was very underwhelming). Neither of them worth the money. We accidently knocked over a drink over ourselves, barman gave us a couple of serviettes but very little help, so could do nothing but leave a puddle. Maybe others have a different experience but I'll be voting with my feet and not coming back.

What a lovely friendly pub and great wholesome food. My friend and I stayed in Trumpington for a few nights and came across this pub. We were made very welcome from the minute we got there. The guy who served us couldn’t of been more helpful. The food was great, we both had homemade lasagne with chips, salad and garlic bread. Large portions and it was clear it was homemade. We would highly recommended this pub for some great food.

I booked a table online for this pub. We arrived at the allotted time only to be told that no meals were being cooked! I was told the manager tried to contact me - I had given my email and phone number at the time of booking but received no contact from him! Absolutely shocking! How do businesses survive with this attitude! Do not book with this pub!

Very expensive for what you get , lasagna lukewarm and mixed grill , no egg , onion rings , or coleslaw, steak overdone. £13 for a plain chicken burger and chips !!!! Don’t waste your money

My first visit and won't be my last! The lady who looked after us was so lovely, the menu choices good, and a specials board gave several unusual other options (I had pulled lamb medallions - which were delicious!). It was a bit chilly in the bar, but to be fair, it was a very cold day! They had a real open fire, and obviously we understand there is a need for good ventilation! A good size carpark at the rear of the pub. Many thanks for a great meal.

We were welcomed christmas day by friendly staff. Had a table for 5 in a screen off area. The staff done all they could to be helpfull and give good service. They were fairly busy. A very relaxed atmosphere. There was a wait befoe our starters came but that gave us time to have our drink and chat. Very pleased with the food. Very nicely presented, hot and tasty. My daughter is gluten free and they catered for her and as they placed her plate they told her gluten free gravy, nutroast. Nice they took care to be sure she was caterd for. One of the best christmas pudding ive had. A very enjoyable christmas lunch. Thankyou . Shall definatly have a meal there again.

Wow! I've just had the nicest ribeye steak that I think I could have cut with a spoon. Everything has been so tasty and the service so good I'm writing this review before I've even had dessert, which I never do!

Decided to go to the Hudson as it is within walking distance from the house, so we could have a cheeky glass of wine without having to drive.I love the decor of this venue, and we chose to sit in a booth so we could have a good natter in private. Chose the lasagne and was resigned to have the slightly slimy one you quite often get at restaurants. The lasagne was home cooked and absolutely delicious!! Would definitely go back and eat there again. Good value, good food, good service. Really enjoyable lunch all round. 😊

Came for Sunday lunch at 1pm. The beef was beautiful, cooked really well. Potatoes veg all good. We asked for a few more roast pots and they promptly arrived. Yorkshire pudding would be the only thing I could fault as not home made. Chocolate fondant pudding delightful. Definitely worth a visit. Large seati g outside and big carpark.

Today/sunday we had a very good roast. I had beef and my wife really liked the stuffed aubergine and mackerel starter. We Recommend giving them a try.

Shocking food. Steak was disgusting. No real chef would of let that leave there kitchen. A few chips peas and rank steak chucked on a plate Meal probably cost them less than a pound to serve. We have been twice recently, taking advantage of the government scheme, and plan a fortnightly meal out in future. Service was great. On the first occasion we both had fish and chips - good size portions, crispy batter, fish beautifully cooked. Second time I had the chicken kebab, loved it, and my friends had the Thai prawn curry and the lasagne. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Tables etc are cleaned. There is sanitiser and signs up about social distancing. I felt safe and comfortable eating there.

I would not recommend this place, it’s very dark and depressing. I briefly went in while I was waiting for a friend, took one look around and immediately thought no way. Even worse was the fact that one of the employees chased after me once I left, asking if I use the toilet while I was there??? I said of course not I was in there for 30 seconds. I feel that was very demeaning from one of their employees.
