Stopped enrout for lunch, severed a very basic plastic cheeses on toast with half a tomato.... a cherry tomato!! The three of us got half a cherry tomato each, only place I know that cuts cherry tomatoes in half.... we left wondering what happened to the odd half? Serves on thick sliced white bread all very 1970s

I was there earlier today and bought a sandwich (tuna and sweet corn), lemonade and 3 items of hand made craft. It was the best made sandwich ive ever had! What I bought for a gift is beautiful and cant get any more local - it was made by one of the owners. Really lovely place to stop by.

AS it was in winter the cafe was closed but they served the food via a take away. The soup, toasties, coffee and cheesecake could not have been better.

Op weg naar Balblair zijn we hier gestopt voor een snelle lunch. De broodjes waren ok maar de dames waren met alles anders bezig dan bediening..

Popped in for a wee snack and coffee. Service was very slow, place was very old fashioned decor wise. Lots of cards for sale but not much room for patrons. Food was average- expected to be asked what bread I would like for my toastie, not just given white bread (cringe), and as the prices were rather steep, I would have preferred brown. Coffee was tasty though and was given an individual cafetiere.

Staff are friendly and the food is great. It has a lovely gift shop also. Caters for the lunch time trade and also does take aways.

Lovely little tea room to pop in to with pleasant views over the river and bridge. The cake was good and the staff were very friendly, but not intrusive.

We ordered a salad which arrived promptly and freshly prepared. The atmosphere in the establishment is exceptionally homely, great views of the river. I would recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Bonar bridge.

Driving from Kinlochbervie to Aberdeenshire, we decided to stop here for lunch. It was a good decision.A homely feel and next to (overlooking) the Bonar Bridge. I stretched my legs and took in some of the local sights after giving my meal order. Friendly staff, good food and at a good rate. Craft items for sale in reception. Clean and well maintained toilets. We parked on the main street.

Good quality, no-nonsense food and drink for hungry travellers. Items include tasty soups with freshly home-baked bread, proper sandwiches made with fresh and good quality ingredients, as well as teas, coffees, juices, gifts and cards. Pleasant welcome and pretty views make this an ideal break on NC500.

Really enjoyed a visit here, with very good breakfast and efficient and very friendly service. With it being on a main road on the outside of Inverness and with easy free parking, it makes it all the better.

Visited 3 times in 5 days and probably spent more on coffee than we did on merchandise (and Tiso is an excellent shop by the way). Excellent coffee, lovely cake selection and a truly fantastic full English/Scottish breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. View to the Cairngorms outstanding and our doggy companions most welcome.

It's a pretty scummy dive bar. (In response to owner's comment - Dive bar isn't necessarily a bad thing, but good for folk to know what they're walking in to. Football, football fans and occasional fights. Other dive bars in Inverness have more atmosphere and soul IMO but it is what it is. It's the kind of place you go to get messy, but stay away of you're in any kind of alternative subculture and don't want to get harassed by Inverness's scummy drunks.)
