It would help the service if you were given a numbered spoon or table marker so that the server could find where to deliver the food.

The cafe is based in a really nice surroundings, and the staff is lovely. But out of 3 dishes we ordered, only one had some sort of taste, and none of these dishes were cheap. Not really worth the money. If we visit next time, we will most likely stick to the coffee and some of tbeir bakery products only.

Food was tasty however very over priced. Small amount of beans and one piece of toast which aren’t exactly expensive to add more of. The potato rosti was more like a door wedge, not a very nice flavour and extremely dense. £29 for two breakfasts with out drinks, a further £9 for two coffees.

Very annoying that the Quiet Room closes 90mins before closing time. Cannot think of a valid reason for this apart from being convenient for staff rather than customers. The rest of the cafe is so noisy with families, children and dogs making the quiet room a benefit for others preferring a calmer experience. Not sure I’ll come again when it’s closed, the rest of the place is too manic.

I found a staff at Vet's café very rude and set in their ways. I had gone in to get something sugary to help someone having a hypoglycaemic incident, when I attempted to get to the front of the Q, the person behind the till wouldn't listen to me and when I finally got something they refused outright to take physical cash but insisted on a card payment. They seem on flexible and very rude

Disappointing breakfast, avocado tasted woody and lacked seasoning, the plate was cold, which made the potato’s and egg luke warm at best. This cost I think just over or under £13…with hindsight outrageous At £4.10 for a gingerbread latte this experience left me feeling out of pocket and still hungry.

This place used to have a great menu and a good service. But lately their options are limited, expensive and painfully slow in preparation. But worst of all is that the staff seems to focus mostly on when to close down. So if you arrive 30 minutes before closing, forget about sitting in the pet-friendly area, because the staff has closed it down for cleaning. So if you are there with a pet (as many of us are at the Aquadrome) you have to use the absolutely dreadful outside seats - winter or summer!

£4.50 for this ice cream ! Thats an absolute rip off. I remembered that they are not cheap here, therefore, I didn't ask for a flake or any other toppings as with these the price would have been probably £6,00 or more ! “The prices at these cafes are typically high—just under £20 for four ice creams that weren’t even gelato or Mr Whippy, just basic vanilla ice cream! Come on, guys, step up your game and offer real ice cream! Another issue is that they only accept card payments and don’t take cash. This might be contributing to the high prices since they have to cover transaction fees for each card payment.” Will be buying ice cream next door in Tesco’s as a fraction of the price and get the ice creams people want.

I've been a regular visitor to this place for a while now. I really enjoy the area, and since I live nearby, it's convenient for me. The service is consistently friendly and professional, and the food is good. However, the prices are quite steep for a cafe located in a park. Moreover, I find it perplexing that there's no air conditioning inside, particularly when it's 30 degrees outside. It's hard to fathom how the staff manages to work in such conditions while the cafe operates as usual. As a customer, I believe this should be addressed. I found it uncomfortable to sit inside, and it's concerning to think about the employees having to work in such high temperatures.

Arranged to have Saturday lunch here as the location was convenient for a group of friends. After queuing for 15 minutes we each ordered a burger, one meat, one chicken, one vegetarian. The brioche buns on each burger were very dry and crumbly, and none of us ate them. The chicken and the beef burgers were well cooked and flavoursome, but my friend’s herby falafel burger was too herby and overpowered the flavour of the falafel. Rosemary chips were delicious however. After a walk around the lakes we returned for coffee and cake and again waited about 15 minutes to order (this was at 3.45 when they were preparing to close). Our cakes were all amazing - lemon meringue cruffin, bronut and chocolate brownie. I think if we came back to this Cafe we would just come for coffee and cake or to try the breakfasts which looked amazing.

Went for my daughter's 18th birthday. They knew it was her birthday - the person on the reception desk asked, as I had put it on the booking form, but no treat appeared. When the bill arrived I mentioned it was her birthday and the waiter did nothing. On the way out I mentioned it to the lady on reception and she asked if I wanted to take it home. That wasn't the point. So, I spent over £300 and went away feeling bitterly disappointed. It tainted what should gave been a lovely celebration. I would not go to The Grove for a meal again.

We had a family birthday Afternoon Tea celebration here. After a 5 min wait? We were shown to our central table. All we had to decide which menu (Vegan and Vegetarian also available) and tea or coffee. I opted for Tandoori Chai - Big mistake as it was weak and tasteless. The savories were canapes not miniatures. Cold sandwiches were OK. The wraps were cold and a big disappointment. The hot Bombay sandwich was very good and we asked for seconds. The cakes were all nice but nothing special. The scones arrived after a delay but were hot and hit the mark. The service was attentive and the hostesses were greatOverall a good gift experience that was let down by being aimed at European palates rather than UK Indians.
