Food was hot and tasty no complaints

Cod was the wrong size and goujons used instead. COD was very dry and overcooked. Everything else was fine. Shame because I always use lighthouse for fish and chips but I may not in the future now.

Do not eat in this place you will get food poisoning. There is evidence of rats reheating of food five Turkish men behind the counter No hygiene standard whatsoever All being payed cash pay your taxes like everyone else the food taste worst than cat food fish is not fresh two days out of date and they still cook the fish to serve the donner meat is reheated in the holding trays the next day stay well away from this place

Best chicken shish in Watford! The chips however tasted stale probably worst chip shop chips I’ve ever had.

Food was good, no chilli sauce as requested. It’s important when ordering a kebab. Shouldn’t be a thing to get wrong.

Was recommended this place via word of mouth. Steer clear. Fish batter was way too thick, not cooked for long enough, resembling raw pancake mix. Looked good open opening though.

Avoid at all costs. Order took nearly 1hr and 30mins to arrive. Chip wrapper was soaked and falling apart due to grease. Chips are cold and chewy. The chicken burger came with no sauce no salad. I will be complaining I refuse to pay for this so called food.

Food quality is poor, gone downhill so much over the years

The portion was small. We ordered the large ones and there was no chilli sauce as requested.

Food 15 minutes late. Mushy peas were hot but both fish and chip boxes were cold and food was hard as it was in the cardboard boxes for obviously ages. Couldn’t eat it. Went straight in the bin. Utter waste of money. They used to be good here 🥲

Just got a donner kebab from here , disgusting .Meat as tough as old boots most of it has just gone in the bin ,never again.

Order due between 19.55 and 20.15 , order never turned up even though the app said it was delivered . Phoned the shop they couldn’t get hold of the driver so are now making a fresh order . Won’t be far of my bedtime before it arrives which is totally unacceptable.

Ordered large cod & chips. The cod was ridiculously greasy and the actual fish was as dry as anything. I couldn’t eat it. I couldn’t complain either as they were so incredibly rude to me. Disgusting food and disgusting service and disgusting staff/owners. Wont be ordering ever again. Be warned people!!

The chips tasted like they had been sat and then reheated! They were tasteless! The saveloy was ok but I prefer the skin crispier. But the chicken shish was amazing! So tasty as was the rice it comes with and the Turkish bread.

Ok so I want to start by saying these do the best chicken shish kebabs! However other food isn’t up to scratch we ordered cod and it did not taste right so it got thrown, the chips were stale like they had been sat for ages but the saveloy was lovely.

Very nice Fish and Chips I used to go to Riverside Hemel Hempstead town centre but now I go here. Also they do percentage off your meal on just eat sometimes

Would a million percent recommend food is so tasty freshly cooked and so delicious. A small problem happened and was put right straight away. Will definitely be back lovely staff so kind and helpful

We went in and ate inside. They were all very kind. It did take awhile to get our food because they were slammed with order. So this place does get very busy and i think a lot of people forget about that. So many people were calling asking where their delivery was when there is only 1 driver and the owner who takes runs here and there. People need to cut these guys some slack lol. They were very hardworking and very kind to us. When we got our food it was very good! The lunch menu prices seem like a good deal but we ordered later in the night. Also the fish you get is HUGE. The pictures don’t do it justice.

Burger was completely dry no salad at all. Just a dry bun and a like warm piece of meat in between. The Person who answered the phone call was rude and basically said it’s my fault and I should have specified that I wanted salad when I explained that there was NO OPTION to add salad on the ordering page at all and asked if they could send some salad or rectify their ordering page to One would assume a burger would come with at LEAST a slice of lettuce and some onions UNLESS SPECIFIED otherwise.

What a bunch of morons. Food was 20 minutes late. Food was DISGUSTING. these Neanderthals think that this is a chicken FILLET burger. Not a scrap of salad or sauce. The staff who answered the phone, obviously thinks she is far more important than she actually is. Unhelpful and rude. Will never order here again and I do NOT recommend it to others.

ordered a Chicken fillet burger with cheese for £7.50, wish I had taken a photo. You should be embarrassed to serve that. Burger bun, some cheap pre formed frozen chicken steak thing about 8mm thick and a slice of cheese. Really for 7.50? Actually the worst chicken burger I have ever bought, not eaten as it went in the bin. Tried to call to discuss but you just leave your answer machine on.

Lovely food as always. Even though it took a while to be delivered, it was nice and hot on arrival. Large portions and good quality food.

The driver was unable to find us. Admittedly we live in a country lane but I presume he had Sat Nav and I had put a note on the order where we actually lived. Not sure I would order again to be honest.

We saw that the Lihjthousd stocked and sold Skate our favour fish .I called them , ordered, and it was delivered inside the hour . The food was hot well cooked delicious and satisfying. The chips were super . The delivery guy was polite friendly anc helpful . Well done Lighthouse keep up the great work!

Great food the cod was perfect and chips were lovely.

The food was hot, lovely and fresh. I love the soft bread and the option of rice, which made a massive change for the better! The new management team are efficient and there were good sized portions. I would highly recommend putting The Lighthouse at the top of your list for your next takeaway.

Always order the same burger (Half Pounder with Cheese) never had to specify no salad before and today you cram it with the stuff and ruined the burger. If I’d have wanted salad I would’ve asked for it!

Had fish and chips, piping hot so much I had to leave it for a few minutes. The fish was huge as long as the box and beautiful fresh flavour. Chips were soft and fluffy like the ones you get at the seaside. Amazing food, this is my go to fish and chips restaurant from now on. 👏 Well done Lighthouse, outstanding food from a very satisfied customer. :)

Ordered online and it was delivered in half an hour, verygood prices, wow it was all so good all was superb quality, they are back as they once were, the best, I would certainly recommend them.

The kebabs from here are amazing, I have the lamb shish and it melts in your mouth. The only downfall that has been with a few of our orders now, is that the chips are undercooked, if they were done a bit more and were crispy it would be 5 stars!!
