Very rude staff and needed and staff got upste that i asked for sauced and told me they charge 60p 🤣

Everything I have ordered is cooked as I order . The chips are superb, and fish is always cooked as you ask for it. And they do a great selection of kebabs. I have no hesitation in recommending them. Cleanest chip shop I have ever seen, always spotless.

Everything about this Fish and chip shop was brilliant. My friend is fussy about hot 🔥 chips. She and I both agreed that their chips were outstanding and generous in portion size. Well done chap's

Twice now have I bought two lots of their fish and chips lunchtime deal which comes with a can of drink for £7.40 and on both occasions been delighted with the food and deal. The cod is a good size and skinned with a lovely crisp skin. There have been too many chips in both portions, on both occasions for my wife and I to eat. The food was hot and still very warm by the time I arrived home. As a disabled person on a mobility scooter I was impressed when I saw one of the servers behind the bar, run out to get the door for me and did the same again as I left.

Genuinely, the worst kebab I’ve ever had. Dry, overcooked, overpriced. 2 mouthfuls then binned the rest. Not good.

Outrageous attitude, refused to serve my grandchildren and their friends unless they paid cash. No minimum order signs displayed, although the order was substantial anyway.

The food is fresh, good value and tastes great. The staff are really friendly.

Very disappointed on our last visit. The chips were hard and not freshly cooked as on previous visits. We probably won't return sadly. They were reluctant to take a card payment as mentioned in another review.

Excellent large Cod and Chips. Obviously cooked in fresh oil. I would recommend it. The only reason the three star service rating is is because they only accept cash. In this day and age cashless rules!

The guys in here are wonderful. So friendly and often give you a handful of chips whilst you are waiting.

Had a big order from them and it was all very nice and tasty. Salad was fresh for Kebabs and a nice range of sauces for kebabs. Only thing ordered a chicken fillet burger expecting it in a coating but was maybe our mistake of not ordering a chicken burger but was still v nice

I had a few hours to kill while I was in the area so called in for 'regular cod with chips' .. had to wait for them both to be cooked, so glad I did. Both were fantastic. The fish was possibly the best I've ever had!

Down this way on holiday and was looking for some take out. Staff were helpful despite us being a bit awkward with our order and not noticing the big sign in window saying cash only. We ordered cheese burger, chicken burgers and sausage with chips. Chips are some of the best I've had as well no complaints at all with all the other food Will definitely call again if we ever find ourselves down this way again.

Terrible service. The person serving tried to charge me 50p to use my bank. That’s was a 12% charge on top of my order. This was my 3rd time returning to this place in less than 2 weeks and I was never charged to use my card before so I don’t like being ripped off. Great way to treat returning customer. Anyone reading this, try The Village Cafe across the street instead.

used to go here a lot when I worked at the pharmacy opposite. Recently moved into the area and its still top quality food. My order is chicken shish - they have some of the best chili sauce you will ever taste!

A good chicken kebab to be had. I have used this place on and off over a few years now and I don't have any complaints.

Amazingly good fish and chips, crispy batter and delicious chips. Just what we needed when hungry. Getting it delivered was also a great advantage.

WOW my family of 4 / 5 ( our dog ) absolutely love love this place. Their Chicken Fillet burgers are proper fillet ( not fried) like other places and are absolutely so so lovely !! Their chips are proper CHIP SHOP CHIPS and taste exactly like it with delivery too .. The staff here are so so lovely too . I’m so glad they deliver now too as this is definitely our no 1 chip shop in Abbots for certain.. We give them a 10/10

We visit about monthly, being slaves to our bodies and all... Proper good grub, always good food. Hygiene standards are higher than an operating theatre and the lads in there are great. Top chips shop. Fully recommend.

Occasionally go to dolphin for sausage and chips for my daughter as she does not eat curry. The people working there could not look more bored or less interested if they tried. The food! The chips are nearly always dry and very poor, I personally would rather go without than eat them. And very small portions. A last resort!!!

Popped in here for a bag of chips to eat walking along and they were the best chips from a chippie Ive had in a long time. Nice and hot, wrapped well and lots of vinegar. Easily pleased, delicious!

I work in Abbots Langley and often visit the Dolphin. Drove out of my way and had the best fish and chips. All freshly cooked to order and still piping hot when I got home 20 minutes later

This is not my Local. Once in a while I find myself here. The staff are great, it’s always so busy. The staff are friendly , but organised. I love my chips well cooked, some other chippies don’t listen. Good old fish and chips is getting expensive, so if I’m buying, I want quality and cooked in fresh frying fat. Today these were magic. 😊😊👍 I must go back soon.

I must admit I am puzzled by the negative reviews. Some weeks ago we were on holiday on the east coast and it seemed impossible to source decent fish 'n' chips. These were truly excellent. The fish was a generous portion of white flakey cod done to perfection as were the non-greasy chips. Highly recommended!

My son and I had a portion of chips each . We had a large battered sausage and a medium Cod. Chips were a little undercooked and at £2 for the smallest portion in the place, this was very expensive compared to anywhere else nearby. Fish was nice but nothing to write home about. Ordinary, and instantly forgettable. We won't rush back.

Unfortunately hit and miss. They can't seem to master the art of crispy chips all too often pulled from fryer too early or cooked at wrong temperature.

Y patatas fritas de bacalao recién preparado, uno de los mejores que he probado, cremoso pescado blanco, no es una mala chip. Cuando me ponen todo en mi plato que pensé que no iba a comer todo, pero era tan deliciosa que demoler el terreno. Un buen hotel, nuevo, super.

The staff are always friendly and they offer a wide of goodies to go with your chips. On our last trip the chicken kebab was loaded with lots of salad - good value.

Great chips, have always gone there since I can remember, But prices have just kept increasing for chips and portions have got smaller :(

They fry fresh, and huge portions, the medium chips is easily enough for two, and the fish is always big, they also do great kebebs to suit most tastes and appetites, good value for money and you can pre order,

Only 3 orders in the cue and 1 order of fish and chips took 20 minutes after I had ordered it!
