We came for lunch. Ordered 2 main meals and child meal. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. The new menu was great to look at and choose from. Just need a few more options of tasty pies from HM Pasties! Staff were great and smiles all around!

Had the most amazing blueberry muffin here. It was so soft and fresh and I was so tempted to have another 🤤. Also enjoyed a small latté as I sat by the window watching a graduation going on across the road at the university. Very vibey place with lovely ambience.

Visited the cafe today and would definitely recommend it. My lunch was so tasty, well-prepared, and with reasonable prices too. Staff were friendly and was a good atmosphere. I love the veggie & vegan menu, and is a good sustainability message to reduce our overall meat intake. Please keep doing what you are doing Manchester Museum Cafe.

Very busy on Sunday lunchtime but good food, interesting small plates and more, all vegetarian and sustainability sourced. Afternoon cakes etc looked good although we didn’t try. Would definitely recommend. A tad chaotic with mostly families and kids but staff were great. Mid week certainly quieter.

Really lovely cafe with interesting menu and helpful staff. It is entirely vegetarian or vegan and quite 'modern' so if you are a bit of a dinosaur (whilst looking at the dinosaurs) you probably need to go somewhere else.

Came to the museum cafe for some lunch after taking out 8 month old round to see the dinosaurs in the museum. Naturally, being a saturday, it was very busy and staff were working very hard. The only available table hadn't been cleaned yet but when the manager saw us enter she ushered someone to clean it. When I pulled up the available high chair, not noticing it was dirty, I got some broccoli on my hands so I asked the girl coming over to clean the table for a bit of tissue, possibly misunderstanding me, she responded "I'm coming now" with a quite rushed response. Another staff member, Daisy, noticed this misunderstanding and kindly ushered me to use their sink and blue roll. My husband ordered at the counter, made a mistake in the order but was kindly and swiftly rectified by Daisy again. When the order came, Daisy thanked us for being so polite as it was so busy. She offered us dips and checked if we were happy with our order. Upon noticing myself breastfeeding, Daisy came over to ask if I needed anything, and shared some information on a local breastfeeding support group called "boobs" (Be Open On Breastfeeding Salford). She offered her support in the chance I happened upon any conflict (as this can be isolating and uncomfortable) She then offered a cake as a gesture of good will (I'm not 100% sure what we did to deserve that, or what they think they did wrong (nothing), but if it was for energy during breastfeeding (or anything else really) - I am very grateful) Daisy is an asset to the cafe and should be appreciated as such. Thank you Daisy, for making the end of our trip a lovely one. We wish you all the best. Oh, PS, the food was delicious and the cakes to die for!

Where do I start with this very poor cafe. We visited on Sunday 27 August 2023 after looking through the exhibits on the ground floor and level one. Firstly the menu looked very strange with some weird concoctions .It then became apparent after visiting the food counter that they only catered for people who were vegetarians. We therefore thought sack this and ended up with packets of crisps while the grandkids had chips with a slightly burnt cheese toasty the size of my grand daughters thumb. In fact it was lost within the green leafed salad and was found 5 minutes later after a brief search In this world of diversity it was apparent that this cafe did not meet the criteria of catering for everyone. It only caters for 5% of the population. What makes me laugh is that you have exhibits of mammals and then a vegan cafe which seems a conflict of interest to me. The cafe is not diverse at all and I suggest whoever thought this nonsense up needs to rethink its strategy .I feel sorry for those serving as they said they get loads of complaints from people. The money they lose out on could be used to put more coffers into the museums.

My friend was vegan, and I'm a vegetarian with a soya allergy. We both managed to find wonderful food options to suit our needs. The staff carefully looked through the allergy menu to make sure that wasn't going to be an issue. The food tasted really great too. We both loved it. The drink selection was also quite wide which was really nice.

Menu not appetising at all. NO options for people who are not vegan (none), no meat fish or eggs everything cheese and vegetable on the sandwiches. Kids menu only 4 options and food bland. 4.95 for 1 slice of toast with a few beans which they didnt like, or pasta in tasteless sauce no seasoning whatsoever. Also the server waited until I paid for 3 drinks to decide to ask me what drink do I want with the kids meal (it came included) Would not eat here again.

Don't go here if you want a Ham Sandwich or anything else with meat or fish, because they don't sell it. The only food available is vegan or veggie. When I asked why they cater for the 5% of the population who are vegans, but not the 95% who are not, I got the reply that other people had said that as well !!. As I was starving, I bought an overpriced and tasteless vegan cheese sandwich. The main ingredient of the "cheese" was coconut oil, and the sandwich was made in London - 200 miles away - So much for carbon footprint.

Ordered numerous items from the over priced counter and a cup of tea. Was told that they would bring the tea to the table . 10 minutes past and no tea so my wife went to the counter and asked to see where it was, she was told that they had shouted us 5 times and that they had thrown it away. We where sitting 20 yards away in a busy cafe, no offer to make another one, went back to the counter to ask why and was met with blunt refusal to help or make another tea. Eventually got our money back after arguing our point. Shocking customer service for the sake of a cup of tea. Avoid.
