I would like to give this cafe 5 stars because the staff are great, the food is good and despite some reviews I don't think it's expensive. However, a major issue and one that is becoming far too common is irresponsible and nuisance dog owners. I think it really off-putting to see people feed their dogs at the table allowing them to wander round off leads or worse still use one of those trailing leads to tangle round your feet. It is also unacceptable, even though your dog may be friendly to allow it to come sniffing round my young children. I'm a dog lover and have had a few but this current trend of not keeping your dog to yourself is just not on

Expensive for food, cheesy chips in a small tray cost £4.95 and a lot of hard crispy bits, only good thing is you can take dogs in with you.

Visited the park over the weekend and stopped here for a bite to eat and a coffee. Food was excellent and the staff were pleasant and efficient, constantly cleaning tables and tidying up. Didn't wait long to be served and the prices, in my opinion, are reasonable. Overall, a lovely little cafe which I will be certainly visiting again soon.

Went in on a Friday afternoon with my 3yr old, every surface was filthy, floors unswept, tables a mess, chairs the same, it was quiet enough inside and plenty of staff so it wasn't just a busy spell where id expect it Cup of tea had to go back because the cup was as dirty as the floor. Food was pleasant enough but a kids picnic box at a fiver for half a ham sandwich, 20p crisps, multipack apple juice and a bruised apple is a rip off. staff were ok but the place needs a kick in the backside to get it presentable.

When visiting moss bank park, we visited the cafe and it is ok for a quick drink or an ice cream. But on busy days especially when its sunny you can be waiting quite a while. They do sell hot and cold drinks, ice cream and ice lollys, and also hot and cold food. It is a useful cafe to have, but the cleanliness could do with being a bit better, dirty tables and floors etc. Also a couple of bigger signs to tell people not to smoke on the outside smoking area, its a bit hard to enjoy a drink or a snack when you've got Karen puffing smoke in to your childrens faces. Overall a nice cafe to have, could just do with a few small improvements.

We visited on a very cold day in December. My 3-year old enjoyed the park whilst my Gran and mum went into the cafe to warm up. The staff are always super friendly and it was nice to get a warm coffee out of the cold. Always worth a visit.

I visited the cafe with my sister after a walk. So disappointing. The cafe was dirty and dishevelled. I couldn’t believe the mayonnaise and ketchup containers on the tables next to ours. They were dirty and the mayonnaise container was so large and not meant for being on the table. The tables were dirty and were never cleaned in the duration of the time we were there. This cafe was dreadful when the council ran it. Had high hopes for it when it was taken over by the Wildlife Trust but its worse now than it was before.

Called today for a coffee. Asked when the inside seating would be open as I wanted to come with a friend the next day but told not opening inside until June. There is plenty of space to have tables inside which are socially distanced. Forecast for the next day rain which is often the case. I don't understand this decision after all the weeks of having to be closed.

The sun was out today on a Sunday car park rammed, and queues outside cafe and ice cream van. Despite a wait of 20mins in the Q the staff very pleasant, and my little girls loved the 'happy meal' style sandwich boxes. We had ham salad sandwiches with side order of chips. And a hot choc. Very nice snack food. Plenty of outdoor seating. There is a toilet inside the restricted dining area indoors, as the outside loo building still locked up? We brought our dog. Something for everyone. Can't wait for the ride on train to start again. Volunteers were servicing them in the shed today.

Hidden gem in the middle of Moss Bank Park, Bolton run by the Wildlife Trust. A warm and welcoming cafe in the middle of a good walk !! Staff are very obliging, food has plenty of variety and is well-cooked to order. Whatever the weather, this is a great place to come (You can park within 50 yards if necessary) We go every 7/10 days and have NEVER been disappointed. Well done ‘guys’

Had a wonderful day on the park and decided a cup of tea was in order before heading home What I got was a cup of overpriced Luke warm dish water, and looking at the rest of the menu that wasn’t up to much,I’m surprised any body ever uses the place Overpriced junk food and that’s putting it mildly. In fact the only thing in the place that looked inviting was the bowl of water outside for the dogs Never ever again will I darken the door of this place again you would be far better taking a packed lunch and a thermos

The staff at the cafe turned me away on 2 occasions with my 4month old baby who needed a soiled nappy change that had leaked onto her clothes. They told me at 15.15pm they were closing and stood at the door not allowing anyone else in-literally guarding the door.It was a bank holiday Sunday so quite busy and there were people still say inside and outside the cafe for a good 30mins after I was turned away. I asked if I could please use the baby changing table and they said no. There is no where else to go at this park for baby changing and no kind of shade or shelter.it was freezing and I had to strip my baby off and change her on the grass outside of the cafe. The staff were so rude and had also upset other customers taking their outside tables away why they were still eating and drinking. The cafe is supposed to be open until 16.30pm on sundays-I can only assume the staff wanted a quick bank holiday exit and any customer service just didn't come into play for them.extremely rude-manager name is julie I believe

A nice, modern little cafe. Family of 5 fed and watered for just over £20 with a small but nice selection of food and 'Kelly's' ice-cream. Can get busy during the height of summer but a good number of tables and chairs (including outside) for the size of it. Will be using again

My friend and myself took our toddler granddaughters here and the staff were brilliant. Great, clean high chairs provided and a few toys and books to keep them amused. Separate changing facilities provided. The only reason I didn't give five stars was that I am unable to eat bread at the moment and they had no jacket potatoes or soup, so the only thing I could have was salad. This was ok and the coffee was lovely.

The park is fantastic for all groups of people or someone just wanting a moment away from it all. The cafe had an exceptional range of high quality produce for a park cafe. The prices are very reasonable for modern standards. They are affordable and will encourage customers to spend more and revisit. The eating areas and cafe toilets were set and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. You can get cooked breakfasts up until around 11am - a hidden gem for this. The lunch menu ranges from jackets, sandwiches to home made soups and stews- perfect for a cold day. There was even an extensive range of bakes and cakes. The staff were very friendly and professional. I will happily be back again soon. Thank you.

I visit the park daily to walk my dog. Occasionally I call for a coffee to warm me up in Winter or a cool drink in Summer. Lot's of outside seating for dog owners and always a bowl of water for our canine friends available. Staff are friendly and it is always clean and tidy.

Thank you Vanessa for replacing our coffees when we accidentally dropped them in the seating area outside the cafe. Worth a visit now changed ownership - much better with very obliging staff, . Also opens and closes when it should do not like previous management.

Firstly, the food when it eventually arrived was very nice. Chicken breast (small), chips (small), chicken gravy (pathetically small), 2 miniscule cubes of cornbread - all for nearly £14. Portion control rules here & unless you have a voucher & then still is ridiculously expensive. A sharing mixed grill was £50. Steaks not much change from £30! Jesus, it's a chain. No atmosphere at all in the Horwich, Bolton branch. 1st & very much last visit. Came home & made some toast....twas still hungry.
