Great night at the Bridge. It was their Wednesday Curry night, excellent value, £11 including a drink, and the added experience of the monthly open mic evening. Great atmosphere and great acts too! Well done all involved and good luck!

The hotel itself has potential, but it’s obvious the owners are skimping on staffing. While the place is understaffed, the team that’s there works incredibly hard to keep things running smoothly. The bar and kitchen were both overwhelmed, and it took a long time to get food and drinks. The hotel feels neglected—poor maintenance, outdated facilities—but the staff is doing their best under difficult conditions. I’m giving an extra star only because the employees were trying to save the situation despite the owner's clear cost-cutting.

A real upscale place! Fabulous spacious bar with plenty of seating and large screens, lovely clean room for 3 adults sharing. Not a lot of parking but that was the only complaint. Fabulous breakfast too, even swapped out my egg for black pudding which not everywhere will do. Great and also close to other bars and Horwich centre - about a mile walk to the Bolton Wanderers ground.

Great local pub. Fantastic customer service and tasty food. The pub was very clean. 4 adults and 2 children had meals and everyone's food was spot on and great value for money. Highly recommend UPDATE We visited again today and had fish, chips and peas for just £11.50 including a San Miguel. The fish and chips were excellent. Crispy batter and really tasty chips.

Our first visit to this pub. Friendly staff with a warm welcome as we arrived. Very relaxed atmosphere and really nice food! Drinks were a good price! We had two meals, both came quickly, well presented and tasted great. Great deals on for food but even without those the food is a great price and really good quality! Can’t wait to return and try more from the menu!

We booked here to go to a gig at Robin Park Wigan. We arrived just short of the gig time, check in was really easy, very friendly staff. Room was nice and modern, our room was on the side road of the hotel, nice view. We struggled with our uber app and one staff member booked us one on his and we paid him cash. He even said if we struggle on return, to contact the hotel and he would sort another one. Very very helpful indeed. Located in a lovely.villagr, local shops close by and other amenities. We didn't get chance to try their food but if its anything like their service, I bet it's great!. Highly recommend this place.

Decent boozer, with a hotel and serving reasonable food at a reasonable cost. Good vegetarian options for once, some variety, and mains typically come in under a tenner. Spacious airy traditional pub, live sport, cosy rooms and corners, few benches outside and a tiny smoking area outback with tables chairs etc. Pricewise in the middle for Horwich I guess, certainly better offers to be had, whilst more expensive pints elsewhere. Worth a look

We stayed here to attend a local gig to sort promotion with one of the bands for our upcoming event! The room was fantastic, well above what we paid! The food was delicious for the price too! However some constructive feedback. We had to ask to be let in and out of the hotel area which made it awkward for us smokers, and outside of pub opening hours if we wanted to leave or enter the premises we had to call someone to let us in/out - whilst we understand the reasoning behind this (having to walk through the bar were stock is kept) I feel maybe a night porter would be beneficial to allow guests freedom to enter/leave, It had a very restrictive feeling, almost prison like. I would love to say I'd return for the comfort, price, staff friendlyness and all other positives, but again, as a smoker, the limited freedom is the only downfall! However if returning to the area we will definitely come back for food and drinks!

Stayed here whilst working away for three nights. Very big town hotel with limited on road parking. The kitchen was closed for refurbishment so we ate elsewhere. The staff were helpful, the beer cheap and good and the rooms although up two flights of stairs, were clean and large and the heating was on. A few niggles with a broken shower head and too few pillows but the water was hot and endless and the bed comfy enough. Biggest problem is noise from the road if your a light sleeper and curtains that let the morning light through. Power sockets with usb next to the bed so no complaints from me. Only realistically a three star but ideal for work or a quick visit.

Not been in for years, pleasantly surprised, a lot of money has been spent on this place. It looks clean and fresh. I'm definitely going back. Just went back we where watching the test cricket on TV, and a lady from behind the bar just turned it to the racing channel, never asked, so we left and will not return. 4 tv's in the room we where watching the cricket. Another one bites the dust.

Went in for a family meal, the staff on the bar seemed ok, however the waiter was very rude and didn't smile one bit. The food came out relatively fast, but lacked flavour and was very bland. My burger was burnt and tasted like it had been sat on the pass for a good while. The salad was very wilted too think the best thing that day was the pints. Ok place , but food isn't the greatest. My youngest enjoyed the ice cream though on the plus. Thank you

We went as a family for a Christmas meal 3 courses for £20 sat in the snug the table was set as a Christmas table crackers the lot was not expecting that. Soup to start was very good felt homemade , picky eater asked for prawns no sauce just lettuce he said was perfect just what he wanted. 3 Christmas dinners turkey 4 veg, roast potatoes and mash then the pigs in blankets came in a side dish about 10 in all ,side dish of cauliflower cheese was home made. Our other child had braised steak he had two massive pieces and said it was melt in the mouth. They even boxed up our puddings cos we were so full It was honestly one of the best Christmas dinners in a pub we’ve had in long while excellent. Actually we go every other Friday and have not had a bad meal yet. Compliments to the chef and bar staff.

My partner and I have stopped a couple of times whilst having work carried out on our home. Clean, basic rooms with a lovely breakfast that was initially included in the room cost. Now breakfast is charged as an extra. Our last visit will definitely be our last though. The room we were given seemed very haphazard in the way it had been serviced. Previously towels were folded neatly on the bed, everything seemed to have it's own place, and overall was welcoming. This time towels had been piled on the bed, which, although made was messy, the toilet seat was left up, shower head was hung over the taps rather than in the holder, and there was a thick layer of dust over the tea tray, cups and glasses. As the pub wasn't serving food we went out to eat. When we returned we sat to have a drink. Staff were not the greatest, not very attentive at all. They were either stood chatting amongst themselves while customers waited to be served, or tapping away on their phones. We were eventually served by a sullen looking girl, very rude in her manner, who didn't seem happy at being disturbed from her conversation. Breakfast the following morning was a bit of an eye opener too. We were greeted by a member of staff in their pajamas! The first time we stopped, we had presumed she was a guest, but no, she was staff! Breakfast is a good size, fresh and hot, although now is charged as an extra. Check out wasn't a much better experience, ignored while she was busy on her phone, although how she managed to do anything with the size of her nails is beyond me. Unfortunately the experience of our last visit has put us off using this hotel again.

The staff were not very friendly or welcoming at all. The table was wobley, felt it would fall apart at any time didn't eat anything but smelling what neighbouring tables had I am glad I didn't. Myself and a friend arrived and asked if they were serving food, they said yes so we went to take a seat. The barman then pointed at a table and said the menus are on there. Not very good service in my opinion. I ordered the pan fried salmon and my friend ordered lasagne with a side order of onion rings. Our meals arrived without the onion rings, my friend had to ask for them and they arrived 10 minutes later. Her lasagne was completely burned underneath and the garlic bread that came with it looked undercooked. My salmon was full of bones. It took a very long time to be asked if everything was okay with our meals and the answer was unfortunately no. My friend was offered a free drink but I was told that particular salmon just comes that way. Also, had I known I would be charged £8 for a double gin and tonic I would have ordered a different drink. It was my first and last meal at The Bridge and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The Bridge had been on my radar for a little while and as per the photo of the 'deluxe' room- looked lovely. The plan was to stay over, have some food and drinks -and hopefully be lucky enough to catch some entertainment. On showing us up to the room, the girl mentioned that builders used the hotel a lot. On entering the room there was an unpleasant smell, which is possibly why there was a large glade air freshener in the open wardrobe. As I took in the room, there were some features that were pleasant ie the curtains were of good quality and also the high skirting boards. Otherwise, unfortunately, the room is not 'deluxe' so as this is how it is sold, I feel this is really misleading. The headboard is a piece of mdf attached to the wall, the desk also cheap mdf style, a basic cheap mirror, a cheap plastic bin and a cheap grey carpet. The one pillow on the bed was so hard it did affect my sleep, (in the pictures there are two pillows on the bed). There was also no hairdryer so I had to leave the accommodation with wet hair. I later connected the smell in the room as a mud-like smell, which i assume must be due to builders walking in the room with their boots on. I would suggest that the floors/rooms are more thoroughly cleaned to accommodate this. I stay at hotels all the time - so am well aware that for a £75 room only cost, I can get a much better standard of accommodation. I didnt raise this with the hotel at the time, as I was overly tired due to lack of sleep but I did raise all the issues with booking.com who took absolutely no responsibility. Booking.com contacted the hotel but they didnt seem interested in trying to reach any kind of resolution.

Truly awful experience and terrible customer service. We booked a room for our family and despite being told there would be no noise, we’re put in a room above the function room where there was a party. The whole room was shaking and we could not stay there with our young children. We were told that we would get a full refund. However almost 8 months later this has yet to happen. Despite calling them at least a dozen times, no one has called me back. Just awful

Had booked a table for 1pm a Mother's Day lunch for my husband, my daughter and her partner. On ordering we were told that mums got a free dessert although two of them weren't actually available. Disappointing but not the end of the world. However it then took almost 1.5 hrs for two starters to arrive followed by another 15 minute wait for our main courses. Two roast dinners were fine but half of my scampi was burnt and my husband's meat feast pizza was child sized, burnt and sadly lacking in any identifiable toppings eg meat. I felt very sorry for the waiter who tried his very best as it was clear the problem was in the kitchen. Following our complaint we eventually got a refund on the pizza and free drinks. The place wasn't exactly busy so there was no excuse for the slow service and the inadequate food. Needless to say we won't be returning!

Ordered a few drinks, great service seeing as we was the only ones in the pub at this point. Later on in the night ordered a Margarita Pizza, after waiting over 2 hours I enquired as to where the pizza was? I was advised that they was having problems with the oven, the pizza arrived after around 2 and a half hours only for the top to be burnt to a crisp and the bottom completely uncooked. Now I am no chef but I can guarantee they run down to Iceland and got a frozen one, too still make a pigs ear out off. I asked if I could have a refund, they refused and was told they could only offer me a drink to compensate one that was a lot cheaper than the Iceland pizza! Will not be returning!!

Firstly, the food when it eventually arrived was very nice. Chicken breast (small), chips (small), chicken gravy (pathetically small), 2 miniscule cubes of cornbread - all for nearly £14. Portion control rules here & unless you have a voucher & then still is ridiculously expensive. A sharing mixed grill was £50. Steaks not much change from £30! Jesus, it's a chain. No atmosphere at all in the Horwich, Bolton branch. 1st & very much last visit. Came home & made some toast....twas still hungry.

We decided to try the tavern as it had been highly recommended by friends and we weren't let down. The food is excellent and couldn't be faulted, the staff were so happy and polite and for a busy Sunday you couldn't ask for anything better. I can highly recommend the lasange, it was fresh and could tell it had been homemade hats off to the chefs. The staff serving always had a smile on their face and made us feel at home. 10/10 on the desserts, we will most definatly be back in the near future.
