We ordered 2 breakfasts and lattes, these were very good and tasty. Friendly staff and ambience good, only marked down as the seating appeared to be made of pallet type wood, so could snag on clothes or give splinters....

This place is excellent! If you want simple tasty food that isn’t a ridiculous price, this cafe is for you! Masses of choice, reasonably priced and exactly what we were looking for! Lots of tables reserved so it must be popular. No fancy decor or menu but not everyone wants sourdough, smashed avocado or chips served in a metal tube!!

What a large menu with very good prices. I had a roast beef dinner and my wife had a pork dinner. The cost for a small meal is only £5, medium £6.95 and large £8.15. I’m glad I went for the medium meal as it was more than enough for me! I had very tender beef, roast potatoes, Brussels, carrot, swede, cauliflower, broccoli and Yorkshire pudding. The food was piping hot with plenty of gravy and horse radish. The staff were polite, friendly and efficient. I will certainly visit The Cafe again. Well done and thanks for an excellent meal!

This place is famous for its views across the Solent, but only in the summer. In the winter the windows are always steamed up giving you near to no visibility outside. We didn’t eat but the menu looks good and average prices for the area. Drinks were more expensive than the Seaview Hotel just around the corner. +£1 per drink on gin & tonic. It was November on a Friday evening and all tables were reserved. We did sit at one of their best tables for our drink ‘Captain Ted’s Table’ and it was wobbly as hell. Felt like it was going to give way at any time. Come on this is an easy fix.

Nice busy cafe, lots going on with a lot of choice to make your own baguette. Popular with the locals for lunch who fancy an upgrade from a morrisons meal deal.

We have been here many times over the years and looked forward to our visit again this year. What a disappointment. We had a cream tea which consisted of a pot of tea, 2 scones, butter, cream and jam. The jam and cream pots were half the size they used to be and the butter was barely there, adequate enough for one scone but certainly not two. The jug of milk supplied did not have enough milk for one cup of tea and we had to ask for extra. I do not drink tea and asked for my tea to be substituted with coffee, big mistake, it was undrinkable. Went we went to pay we were told 'cash only' and I was lucky to find some cash in the bottom of my bag. This should be made clear when you enter and before you order as a lot of people do not carry cash. Our experience was so different to every other visit we wondered if there were 'new owners' but overheard the owner telling other visitors that she had been there 17 years. Sadly will not be returning.

Remember coming to this pub with my family when I was ten so had to come back 40 odd years later. Disappointed the coffin by the door was gone 😂 but it was a real highlight of our trip. Our dogs were welcomed and fussed over and the food at lunch was amazing, so tasty. Really friendly staff and all the facilities were spotless. Fantastic views over the garden too. A lovely trip down memory lane
