My wife had been here before but it was my first time, there’s lots to choose from.I enjoyed the salad bar and then opted for the Sea Bass for my main course which was excellent. Lovely chips too!We hadn’t booked but we were allocated a pleasant table in the extension. The service was warm and welcoming even though the restaurant was quite crowded. Will make a return visit soon I hope.

The Potted Pig

05/03/2020: Sunday lunch out is always a tricky one, it’s mass catering of a sorts. It’s busy here for good reason but part of that is accompaniment portions are very large and make people feel like they’re getting a good deal.9 of us ate, all had starters, highlight was the cockles, bacon and laverbread on sourdough. Others had pâté and potted pig, tasty but not enough bread and it was too burnt and hard.Meat on the mains was mostly braised but tasty, small portions of meat but large selection of veg. Potatoes not great, cauliflower cheese was undercooked but tasty, cabbage good, roasted parsnips etc good, yorkies looked impressive but tasteless, gravy bit bland.Puddings good, lemon posset and sticky toffee pudding always a highlight here.Service was great but check your bill carefully, discretionary service charge always added on for tables over 6 (we agreed worth it) but overcharged for other parts which is the third time now this has happened to us now.All in all, above sounds a tad negative, but enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere and overall a good Sunday lunch out.

Wales millenium centre

17/03/2020: We were two couples that went to see Beautiful last week, the theatre is excellent for viewing the stage, with plenty of leg room and comfortable seating.
