The Cadogan Arms in Kensington and Chelsea

We went for a family birthday dinner. The staff were friendly and welcoming, food was delicious and atmosphere charming.

I had the Black Pudding Scotch Egg, the Ham, Egg, and Chips, and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Everything was delicious and came out quickly, and piping hot. The ham is half a leg's worth, served on the bone, and the Scotch Egg is very substantial too. If you're planning on having three courses make sure you have a big appetite, the servings are generous and you may run out of room halfway through the main course.

Guinnes' butter is wonderful! Try it!

I had Chicken and leek pie with mash, very tasty. Friend had fish and chips and she was happy. There was a choice of size of fish, she had the smaller size which she says was enough for her. Had not booked but table was available. Busy but still had some free tables.

Over priced pub with disorganised service

Definitely make reservations early if you are going for food as the line up is long and is only till supply lasts and they do not accommodate walk ins. They ran out of food and closed the kitchen early when we got there but it was still a good place for drinks! Bartenders were entertaining! Loud, lively and a fun vibe!

Fantastic Sunday brunch. We opted for some fish and chips and the burger. Almost had it in us for the Sunday roast but opted for other traditional fare. The roast did look delicious though. We didn’t go wrong with our choices. Sprinkled in some Sunday cocktails and this was a great choice. Next time we’ll roast.

Absolutely loved this place! Went for out wedding anniversary and arrived to a Congratulations greeting card. Staff were all absolutely lovely and the food was delicious. Thank you for making our wedding anniversary really special.

Loud and slow service but nice location

Possibly the best Scotch egg I’ve ever had. Crisp on the outside, golden and gooey within. The duck confit was lovely and fell off the bone like it had been slow-dancing in its own juices for hours. My friend couldn’t stop raving about the ham and eggs. But what elevated the whole experience was the background music! From the Stones to Bowie. Kudos to whoever is responsible behind the bar. Absolutely brilliant from start to finish.

Found this Pub through a YouTube post, as my wife’s birthday was close, booking made for two. It’s hard to know we’re to start, on just how good the experience was, from the second we walked in, it felt special. The bar has more beers, than I could get through on a good day, the restaurant area, is stunning, we had a table in the far right corner, making it easy to people watch. The food is beyond on reproach, quality at every level. My wife was presented a hand written birthday card, also a desert, which was totally unacceptable, thank you, you get what you pay for..!

Literally the rudest I’ve ever been treated by a member of bar staff, ever. We were served with minimum interest and enthusiasm by one barmen in particular. Near the end of our visit, I asked another member of bar staff if I could go behind the bar for a second to take some pictures a few of their nice bottles. I didn’t think this would be too much trouble, it was past the lunchtime rush, they were not serving anyone else and they were not busy in the slightest. I must have been behind the bar for about 2 seconds before that first member of bar staff I mentioned came in having a go at me. He really aggressively insisted me I couldn’t be behind the bar and kept gesturing for me to back off. I told him that I got permission from a member of staff but he didn’t care. And kept gesturing with his arms for me to back away. He told me that he would take the picture, took a bad one on purpose, tossed my phone down instead of giving it back to me and said “Jesus Christ!” Classy.

Unfortunately the manager(A red and black plaid shirt worn ) was so impolite and hostile.

Our first visit to this amazing Gastro-pub after seeing many great reviews online and from Youtubers. I mean if you see the reactions to the Ham hock online and then try it, believe me, it's one of those dishes you'd travel miles and miles to have again and again. We had a reservation for an early dinner sitting and arrived at 6pm to find many people drinking outside on this sunny evening. Inside was just as busy with no space to sit, but having checked in, we had some time to grab a drink before our table was available and managed to squeeze in to a slot by the bar. Almost immediately I was asked what drinks we'd like, even with people everywhere, it was so easy to order drinks, the bar service was excellent. We got our table bang on time and sat to peruse the menu whilst soaking in just how pretty this pub is. It was very busy but not so bad that it detracted us from our experience in any way. We ordered starters of: Soda bread with Guinness butter, Black pudding Scotch egg, Cauliflower and onion bhajis. For mains we opted for: Beer battered fish and chips and Ham, egg & chips. It all sounds a bit standard Gastro-pub fare but it was absolutely not! The soda bread with the glorious Guinness butter was warm and comforting, along with my Scotch egg, which was cut in two to reveal the runny egg yolk and the sausage & black pudding inners. Served with Oxford sauce (which is basically a spicey brown sauce) it was super scrummy and very moreish. My wife's Cauliflower and onion bhajis were more like pieces of veg fried in spice. Delicious for sure, especially with the dark and spicy hot mango chutney. The best bit of the meal though were the mains, my Ham, egg and chips is actually a Ham hock of significant proportions, smothered in a mustard, spicey and sweet black rub that lifts the unctuously meat to stratospheric levels of flavour. The ham just fell off the bone and dipped in the tangy pineapple sauce, was seriously tasty. There's also so much of it, with perfectly cooked chips and a single runny egg sat atop. It is absolutely bloody awesome and I dined at the two Michelin starred Ritz restaurant recently where flavour is everything. I imagine Chef John Williams would be happy with this dish too! My wife's fish and chips were spectacular too. This was a masterclass in elevating our national dish to new heights of texture and flavour. The batter is wonderfully crispy and covered in 'scraps' to add additional fine crunch. The flavour was amazing and easily the best fish and chips I've tasted in a long time. We had no room for dessert unfortunately, just too stuffed from starters and mains. Service was excellent again with drinks arriving promptly and our food, which sped along in quick succession. The tables are filling up and emptying constantly on this Saturday evening and you're given two hour slots. I've seen some people moaning about being pushed along through service but we had plenty of time. For our two courses with a couple of drinks we spent £106 with tip, or £53 a head. Amazing value, especially as we're on the Kings Road here! A Gastro-pub of exceptional quality and service, we'll be back very soon to try the puds!

The chicken and lamb starters were brilliant. We've been a few times and we are always highly satisfied. You need to book in advance or risk a bar seat. We sat at the bar the last time and were well catered for. The staff work hard and are pleasant. They also have some seats outside that catches the sun. We'll be back. Very high level of food here.

Booked for a Sunday roast on quite a warm day but that didn't stop us ordering up. Enjoyed the scotch egg (perfection!), a pork roast and beef roast. Both delicious. The BEST roast potatoes I've had. Amazing sticky pud too on desert menu. Nice wine list and atmosphere. Service was also friendly.

It's hard to choose which charming British pub to go to, but I'd really recommend this one. The fish and chips were amazing, and so different from the mass market type. The server was so friendly, despite probably getting a bit tired of tourists. Want to go back and try the other food if the fish and chips are any indication of the quality.

Llegué temprano para disfrutar de dos malditas Mary’s en el bar y nos dijeron que nuestra mesa estaba lista, pero no para apurarse. Ordenó el cordero para 2 - 3 personas que llegaron con verduras de raíz y unas cuantas hojas de col, patatas asadas y pudín Yorkshire. El cordero era excepcionalmente tierno y lleno de sabor y probablemente el cordero más agradable comido desde que tenemos memoria. La porción era amplia para nosotros dos. Seguido de un budín de toffee pegajoso y ruibarbo y natillas de nueva temporada, ambos ligeramente diferentes de los convencionales, pero sin embargo agradables. El personal en todo momento fue atractivo, amable y servicial, esperando una visita de regreso después de esta experiencia. Una forma agradable de pasar una tarde de lunes de Pascua.

Comida brillante, gran servicio y bebidas frías - no se puede pedir mucho más. Sirvieron un asado dominical tradicional un lunes - concepto brillante! Teníamos los asados de cerdo y ternera, ambos servidos con verduras asadas y pudín Yorkshire - yum, oh y tuvimos postre, pudín de toffee pegajoso. Huelga decir que todos salimos muy felices y llenos. Es una visita obligada si te alojas en el área de Chelsea.

Up front, 3 out of 4 meals were excellent and our first set of servers were just as good. The chips here were excellent as were the fish, chicken burger and the ham and eggs were off the scale brilliant. The service for the second half was non existent. We were left with the desert menus for about 30 mins and the promised birthday dessert for my daughter never arrived. The keema hotpot was so small! As I'm writing this I'm cooking myself some pasta as it was the size of a starter. Not impressed for 23 quid. Should have easily been another 5 star review but with unbalanced portion size and inconsistent service had to be a generous three.

Once again, we had an amazing time at the Cadogan. Food was spectacular. I'd like to mention the signature ham and eggs and fish and chips, not forgetting the black pudding scotch egg! Service was spotless despite the pub being completely full. Very lively ambience. We will be back

Very beautiful bar and decorating inside, it’s a lot more than traditional English pub. Food was amazin, wine list is a bit weird, we ordered bottle with no label on it, but doesn’t say anything different on the menu. And our waitress doesn’t know how to open the cork.

Had a lovely Sat lunch. Fish and chips was yum, and the sticky toffee pudding (we had ice cream instead of cream) was divine. Plus they are super dog friendly which is always a bonus and were really kind, with treats and water bowls etc. So thank you very much! Saw several folks having the ham, egg and chips which I will definitely be coming back for! Our waiter was really great as well - overall really glad we went and will make sure we go again!

Amazing food in this cosy nice pub. We had ham, eggs and chips and it was amazing. We also started with scotch egg and black pudding and truly enjoyed it. I understand from others in our group that fish and chips was also great. Service was great and friendly and wait time was very reasonable

I had the Hake which was great, the Chicken Caesar would be better served with fresh bacon in my opinion. The Guinness is £7.50. The staff are lovely attentive but leave you alone. Good experience. The building is decorated wonderfully.

Ottimo il Board di carni da condividere, contorni eccezionali e Bloody Mary fatto a regola d’arte. Il servizio è impeccabile. Anteriormente tuvimos un excelente almuerzo de domingo en mayo, así que cuando regresamos a Londres en noviembre, regresamos y nuestra hija que vive en Londres de alguna manera se enganchó una reserva. En la primera visita en mayo, no teníamos una reserva, pero agradecidos de tener una mesa muy estrecha para tres en la planta baja, ya que el asado del domingo fue el mejor fuera de casa; carne perfectamente cocinada (raro) , verduras cocinadas, pero todavía algo de crujiente / textura, excelentes patatas asadas y pud Yorkshire, así como rábano picante y salsa. Excelentes cócteles para empezar y fantástico tinto por copa con asado. Acabado con un excelente pudín de toffee pegajoso y un crumble (sí somos cerdos). Nuestra última visita fue muy pobre. Una mesa preciosa arriba en una esquina, perfecto para tres, pero tanto el servicio y la comida gravemente falta. Pedí que empezara un kir royale que tardó una eternidad en llegar, al menos 10 minutos después de que mi marido y mi hija tuvieran sus aperitivos. Era tibio con una clara falta de efervescencia, pero feliz de tener después de una espera tan larga. Empezó con ostras de roca y pan de soda irlandés, las ostras estaban enfriadas con hielo y perfectamente golpeadas, pero el pan de soda llegó muy quemado. Preguntado servidor para un reemplazo, segunda ronda de pan de soda también muy quemado (como en negro en la parte superior). 2nd kir royale era como debería ser - frío con un montón de efervescencia, así que estoy seguro de que el primero se hizo con champán sobrante del día anterior (nuestra reserva era 12 por lo que el pub no estaba abierto antes, botella tenía que ser de la noche anterior) . Y la comida aún más decepcionante - carne de res bien hecha no es raro, verduras demasiado cocidas y suaves, patatas asadas no lo suficientemente caliente, nada como el almuerzo del domingo anterior. Ok, si bien, lo entendemos. Luego otro recordatorio que teníamos 20 minutos, luego otro recordatorio más de que nos quedaban 10 minutos. ¿QUIÉN HACE ESO? Finalmente le dije a la camarera que no teníamos intención de quedarnos más tiempo de la mesa asignada, pero que por favor paráramos con la cuenta atrás. Fue intrusivo e innecesario. En su haber se disculpó y luego regresó para ofrecernos una pequeña mesa de bar a la que podíamos movernos (no fue después de nuestro tiempo de mesa asignado en absoluto) que la tomamos y disfrutamos de un pan de jengibre pasado de moda para el postre. Muy segura de que a Trinny Woodall, que estaba en el bar, no la sacaron de su mesa ni le dieron una cuenta atrás para irse. No estoy seguro de que volvamos, aunque el avistamiento de celebridades ese día (Johnny Depp en el camino del rey) fue divertido.

Recently moved to the area and was really looking forward to visiting The Cadogan Arms as it’s my closest pub, but the experience was completely underwhelming and disappointing. We visited on 9th of March for lunch. The assistant manager refused to accommodate reasonable requests (swapping from one 2-seater table to another 2-seater table that’s empty) and showed no interest in customer needs. What’s worse was the dismissive attitude—cold, unbothered, and almost condescending. I understand it’s a popular pub, but that doesn’t justify neglecting customer needs. Popularity shouldn’t come at the expense of good service, and it is important to remember what makes a business great - respecting customer and delivering great experience. Cadogan Arms, however, seem to forget that which turned the experience to an utter disappointment.

Great little pub on the corner of a fairly busy street. Great bar staff and hats off to the chef. Egg, ham and chips were incredibly tasty. Great quality.

The best in all of London! I love everything about this place. Delicious food- everything on the menu is AMAZING! The fish and chips were hands down the best I have ever had. The staff (Steve, Ashwin, and Erinthion) are kind, helpful and charming. I will definitely be coming back!

¡Fantástico asado de domingo! Aunque el pub está ocupado, no nos sentimos apretujados. La única queja que tengo es que la duración de una mesa es demasiado corta. Nos pidieron que nos fuéramos, ya que otra reserva se estableció para tener nuestra mesa.

Felt a bit let down to be honest. Decor is great and gives it a special feeling and the food was good (it should be too!). But the service was poor. Not welcoming. Waiter was really blunt with my youngest son who we try to get to speak to staff anywhere we go. Main courses were left on a tray by the window for over 5 mins getting cold and we eventually had to ask for them to be brought over. (And only ~14 covers at 4tables) Sauce was missing and even though asked again for it, it was ironically brought to our table and put down as we sat with empty plates having finished our meals. First time in my life I asked for service charge to be removed. Got the feeling the waiter just assumed everyone would pay it. Neither the waiter nor any manager asked us why we had asked for charge to be removed which is not good form either. Won’t hurry back but might give it another go one day.

Had a Sunday roast and it was the best I’ve had in a while! The meat was cooked perfectly—so tender and full of flavor. lovely atmosphere, will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed the Sunday roast, all four of us went for the Beef and ordered the cabbage & spinach as extras. Beef was the right tenderness. Considering we had a late lunch the roast potatoes were still had crunch edges. The service was welcoming, attentive and prompt and always felt someone was on hand for any requests. The pub has a nice traditional cosy feel with classic wooden furniture and setup. Went during 6 nations match day so was crowded. Definitely one to go back and checkout their other dishes.

We walked through the door, expecting to see a normal London pub inside, but it is so much more than that. The decor is traditional yet a little more opulent. The comfortable chairs in the dining area at the back made it a cosy place to lunch. I had fish and chips, with a delicious tartar sauce. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was just because I would have prefered traditional mushy peas instead of mashed peas. My husband had a pie and he said it was very good. The waiter was excellent because he was attentive without being overly so. I would go there again.

Unfortunately quite a bad experience. Had booked over a week ago for a table to watch 6 nations. When I arrived had my booking but couldn’t find a table for me. When a table was found they put the wrong name and time for the reservation. I sat at the table then someone who I presume was the manager asked I had booked it and was frankly a bit aggressive, I think he said don’t touch me -strange. Ordered food and drinks and while the bar staff were pleasant and really tried. Orders were messed up. My girlfriend paid then 2 mins later they someone asked her to pay a second time. We had a tab and drinks and food I’d already paid for had been put on the final bill again. Just chaotic and service was so slow. Stood at the bar at the start for at least 15-18 mins and pub was making cocktails chatting to some Spanish girls. Just not good enough. The clincher was when a guy asked for his drinks and one of the bar staff said to his colleague who was pouring the drinks it was the guy in the hat who ordered it. There were 4 guys standing it hats at the bar. Chaos. As I said really wanted it like it but was chaotic, slow service and if you didn’t check what you had paid for you were in trouble. A real shame because a nice looking venue.

Para colmo todo manager me pareció un poco agresivo un d me pidió liendre para tocarlo (raro) . Tenía una pestaña configurada y las cosas que ya estaban pagadas se volvieron a agregar a la cuenta y la novia pagó entonces 5 minutos después pidió pagar de nuevo. Caótico. Popped in en-route to The Ivy for a quick drink. Limited seats available so my wife and I sat on bar stools. There are many bar stools along most of the bar, which makes it very difficult for those ordering drinks that don't have a stool. The bar service was awful. The staff seemed to either stay at one end of the bar, even when there were no more people to serve that end or they were busy preparing drinks for diners. It took upwards of 10 minutes to get bar service and there was no-one in front of us! When we finally ordered, the barman was slow and was then distracted in conversation with a colleague while prepping one of our cocktails....and this was right in front of us! I had to ask him to hurry. I certainly will not be back for drinks only at this venue but may try the food (or more likely go to The Ivy again!). Very disappointed by the lax attitude of the bar staff and set-up of the bar in general, it felt very disorganised...and there were ALOT of bar staff there. So I am updating my initial review of The Cadogan Arms. After a disappointing first visit, we decided to have a lunch, as the food did look very good on our first visit. The service was excellent this time, from initial greeting and on the table. My wife and I shared a starter and our mains of sea trout and fish and chips were exceptional. These were enjoyed with a glass of fizz and a carafe of wine. We shared the crumble as desert, which was another star plate. The staff checked all was good during our meal, which was a nice touch. I highly recommend visiting here for a lunch and we will return again soon, and perhaps have a Sunday lunch in the summer. We've now forgotten about our initial experience, I'm sure that was a one-off. Only minor grumble....a little more mushy peas with the fish & chips!

Went for Burns’ Night 2025. Entertainment (piper, toast to the haggis) was great. Food was a bit of a letdown overall. Amuse-bouche was lovely. Starter of hot smoked salmon and a tattie scone was awful. The chef had clearly never had a tattie scone before - we were served beautiful smoked salmon on a bed of tasteless stodge. I saw lots of people send starters back. Main was very tasty indeed but the “wagyu” beef was rather tough. Dessert was very bland. Lovely staff who I can’t fault at all.

Food and main receptionist were great. Our experience was nevertheless unpleasant as our waitress was extremely passive

Their Sunday roast is fantastic, but it gets very busy, especially on weekends, so it’s best to book ahead. Even if you’re just stopping by for a quick drink, the bar has a great vibe too. A lovely spot all around!

Absolutely LOVED are experience here at this London pub. In a great location for shopping in Sloane Square and so well presented. It’s a very busy and popular pub so defo book for lunch but the decor was top notch, it was clean and comfortable. Staff were really friendly and gave a high end experience for a fairly cheap price. Great service, didn’t eat. One thing worth pointing out is the glass sizes of the cocktails are crazy small for £15! Erie was amazing and resolved it very quickly …what a great asset Erie is to the Cadogen. Robert was also top notch and was so quick and efficient. Thank you both!

The Sunday Roasts were delicious. First of all, the Scottish eggs were also delicious. Good selection of beers and other drinks. Service was great and had a good evening here.

Great pub on the kings road. Looking for an old English pub feel - this is the place and the food is pretty good aswell

Service was spotty, especially given the price point. Dessert arrived in hot cast iron skillet but was partially frozen still.

I'll start with the positives the food for most of us was very good. Duck excellent, Prawn Cocktail lovely, Prawns very fresh. Turkey sandwich awful, overpowered by cheese. But what let us down was next level rude staff from all levels. They honestly could not have cared if we had a good time or a really really bad time. They knew that people would keep coming in without them having to try. We will not be returning. We continually had to serve ourselves wine and when we finished one we turned it over, hoping we would be asked if we wanted another before having to find a staff member ourselves. It was a shared ice bucket and so when the other bottle was taken out they just let ours fall into the water and then they served us the ice bucket water!!!!!! Zero and I mean zero apology. Other drinks which we were served ie Wine by the glass was warm (again zero care factor when I asked for a cold glass of wine) and we had to continually ask for service. Our table was in the middle of the thoroughfare ie an afterthought and so we were continually being knocked as people walked past.

Avoid these Cadogan Arms 'bartenders'. They will scam you immediately if you are not very careful. They will charge you for drinks you did not order. Ask for prices in advance and take till receipts.

I used to be a regular at the Cadogan, returned here for first time after the refurb with 7 friends to have our annual Christmas meal together. We were expecting a Christmas Feast of Turkey and all the trimmings. Unfortunately on arrival we were placed on a table in a through fair, people walking past and knocking us constantly, between the kitchen and the restaurant. Then we were told unapologetically by the head waiter that we can not have the feast menu and would have to eat standard pub menu, he wore blue glasses and was extremely rude and unapologetic about the mix up with our booking. Instead of turkey and all the trimmings we had to settle for standard pub food and it completely ruined our night. The waiter did not care and was just rude to us all evening, he made no effort to compensate or salvage the error. We left early and went somewhere else. We won’t be returning.

Pleastant -if a touch loud- atmosphere, very average food, incompetent and disinterested service and the most piss-smelling loos Ive used in a long time. Won't be going back, not even for the champagne that turned out to be water from the ice bucket (bottle tipped over, not even an apology)

We love this pub. Always busy and need to be booked in advance. Good food, desserts and atmosphere. Lovely area by the fireplace
