Myself, daughter and granddaughter visited last Thursday for lunch. The cafe was very cold and we all kept our coats on. It took quite a long time to take our order which she did apologise for however it wasn’t busy in there. I ordered the panini with bacon and brie. She said they hadn’t any pannis and she recommended bread instead. So I ordered granary bread. Five minutes later she came back and said no granary bread…🤷♀️…it was only 12.30…it’s not even an extensive menu!! I had the quiche so 3rd time lucky. Nothing special ..small portion on small plate..just small handful of lettuce and a teaspoon of coleslaw..expensive for what it was. It should have come with vegetable crisps but came with very small portion of plain crisps. When I questioned it she said the vegetable crisps were too expensive 😂…they actually sell them very cheaply in Aldi! Honestly I couldn’t believe it! My daughter had jacket potato with prawns and after a few mouthfuls found a long hair. So no lunch for her as she wouldn’t have anything else. I remember this as Tagwells and it was lovely back then. I found it is now very tired looking and needs a good refurb and a good clean of table legs and cushions etc. I wouldn’t have given any stars but the 2 ladies who worked there were lovely and the coffee was good but on a whole it wasn’t a pleasant lunch!

Booked in for lunch on the 2nd Thursday in February. We took my daughter & 2 of our grandsons. We ordered kids lunch bag, a bacon and brie panini and 2 jacket potatoes with fillings of coronation chicken. To drink we had a tea, americano and a flat white. . Very popular place and service was very friendly & attentive. The jacket potatoes were so good and crips and the best we have had out from home. Fillings were great too and the panini. My flat white was nice and hot and just how I like it. So, experience here today excellent

Cute name, easy to spot. Good outdoor seating, clean inside. English rose china cup and saucer, pretty plain blue teapot, the tea tasted good, The ploughman's visually pretty and served on a wooden platter. Good quality food. Tasty homemade pickle, the spices in it reminded me of minced pies. The quarter of a pork pie tasted great, too small for me. Salad items fresh, one baby plum tomatoe, three silver skin onions, a sprinkle of yellow peppers tasted good. A few red grapes were refreshing. Slice of cheddar and cranberry wenslydale complemented a half slice of delicious ham. Hot sesame seed bun with butter, no complaints would have liked a little more. Good for light lunch and lovely service.

We had breakfast here a few weeks ago.. the table was really too small for the dishes and plates that accompanied the scrabbled eggs and toast plus coffee cups etc... the decoration, the kids play area is great.. being parents we can see the appeal for those with young children but, although its nicely decorated it didn't offer us the type breakfast menu we would expect to see. All said a done, the food was fine but in general not for us... But if you've have children its the perfect place for you.

This sweet little cafe/tea room is situated at the quietest end of Droitwich High Street so gets little passing trade. However, it has set up to attract the local yummy mummies with their little ones, so if you don't like noisy children and crying babies this won't be for you. We had good coffee and the cake was delicious but the portion was quite small. Little charms and knick knacks for sale and a very large and well stocked play area for children. As others have said its a great place to go with toddlers.I'm not from Droitwich so know nothing of the competition but The Button Tree has been very pleasant on the two times I have visited.I've only had coffee and cake but the cake both times has been lovely. A must for any mums is that they bring the drinks over to you and even ask if you want sugar.I'd say the staff chat a little too much amongst themselves but it wasn't annoying. I think it might put some people off though talking across the cafe loudly. Having said that I was talking loudly to my toddler!I was impressed that the play area was clean and tidy. However both times I have visited I have noticed that the tables were clean but the floor quite dirty. This should be addressed with a quick dustpan and brush as toddlers throw stuff down so much and I try and give it back to him if possible!I'd gladly visit agin and look forward to my next cake.

My partner & I first went to the button tree a few months ago on a very cold Droitwich day and warmed up with an amazing hot chocolate. Since then we have been back a number of times. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. We place our order at the counter and the team will bring it over if there will be a wait. They have just the right selection of food and treats. Their cakes are always amazing and they change regularly so you can try something new! Tea is served in a vintage style teapot and is always lovely. The button tree is always very clean and there's some great, homely, finishes to it- comfy cushions, mis-matched vintage teasets, tea cosies, tiny vases of flowers on the tables etc. It's clearly very child oriented and features a play area in the corner to keep children entertained which is a lovely touch.Although some people might not like this we've gone in a number of times and never been disrupted by children - in fact it works wonders in keeping them happy which makes for a lovely atmosphere.Very busy, bustling, little teashop so it's sometimes tricky to find a table but that's definitely not a criticism - it's lovely to see so many people supporting such a fantastic local business!!

The staff were amazingly friendly. This tea room I would say is aimed at tired mums who can plonk their toddlers in the enclosed play area and enjoy a tea or coffee. Great facilities for changing said toddler etc. To be honest, if I wasn't a mum I wouldn't want to step foot in the place, when we visited, there were a lot of young children milling around, however there were plenty of non frazzled mummies annoying a coffee too. Food was ok, standard jacket potatoes etc. I thought the children's lunch boxes were very expensive for what we got. but overall, yes, I'd go back if I returned to the area.

me and my children love this place! It's warm, friendly and very reasonably priced. Food is served quickly but not too quickly that you know no care has been put into making it. My children love the play area and the fact they can make noise without the owners minding which is a breath of fresh air for me! It's also nice that it has an afternoon tea style menu so you're not going to a 'greasy spoon' that smells of bacon and sausage. I have also been without children and the atmosphere is just as pleasant and with the vintage feel it was a lovely place to treat someone special to one of their amazing afternoon tea's. Overall I would recommend the button tree to old and young alike. The owner and the staff are a credit to themselves.

I woke up hungry and there was no bread in the house. I had noticed Button Tree and read the reviews so I thought i would give it a try and get some breakfast. I know this place has had good reviews but I do not know why. It is alleged to be child friendly and there were small well behaved people there. I think that is the niche the owners are aiming at. The atmosphere did nothing for me. There were not many people in the cafe. I asked for scrambled eggs on toast but was told there was a ten minute wait. There was nothing about the place that could keep me without food for ten minutes. Then I went to Waitrose got some bread went home made some toast and got on with my day. This place has a limited menu and is at the top of the High Street. For me, if I were without bread and hungry again I would go to Muffin Break or Parkes Cafe. That is not to say this is a place to avoid. Certainly not. It probably hits the spot for some people. I shall not return but I suggest people try it for themselves and make up their own minds. Its fine but does not rate being third best restaurant in Droitwich. Mendi and Lord Moreton's tea rooms are a couple of leagues above The Button Tree in my humble opinion.

A friend introduced me to this delightful cafe today. It's bright, airy and clean with beautiful shabby chic furniture. They cater well for customers with children; there is an enclosed toddler play area, an excellent changing station and room to park a few buggies. However, I noticed that a lot of the customers while we were there did not have children with them, so it obviously has universal appeal. All the food was very appetising and I shall certainly return next time I am in Droitwich - it's just a shame we don't live closer. I understand that they do craft sessions etc for toddlers on certain mornings too which sounds fun! They also have some cards and gift items for sale (I bought a very reasonably priced, girl's handmade dress while I was there).

I have been here a few times but this afternoon I came with my daughter and my dog and had a fabulous meal. I am gluten free and vegetarian and had a huge range of choices. I had the Buddha bowl which was delicious! My daughter ate every scrap of the falafel burger too which she loved. My dog also had a sausage from the dog menu! All finished off with a delicious brownie and ice cream. Everyone is catered for here and welcomed. The service was excellent, friendly and helpful. Really lovely Halloween decorations too which made it feel warm and cosy.

We visited here for a Father’s Day lunch. Luckily we could just walk-in, as we hadn’t actually booked a table. The cheese toasties that we had were so good. They were so buttery and crispy. The sweet treats were also amazing. I had a kinder bueno cookie which I very much enjoyed! The only negative about this place was that it felt quite dark inside. Obviously it’s a barn, but it felt very enclosed not having any windows or another door to see outside. It looked as though they were building an outdoor area when we visited, so it would be nice to go back in the summer.
